Honestly, I'm tired and can't sleep due to the intense and ongoing pain of 4 broken ribs. I have this cpap but turned on this video thinking it would be just what I need to put me to sleep 😂 What a nice surprise when it was actually interesting and I learned a lot about my machine's use and maintenance! This foreign machine has now become familiar and cleaning is no longer a daunting task. So, while I watched this thinking I'd fall asleep, I watched it all the way through and I'm now going to sleep with a feeling of relief and confidence in caring for this contraption. Thank You so much!

Thanks for your video. I learned a lot. It is a really great video. I was wondering if you would do a video on the entire cleaning part of all the relevant parts to clean (demonstration) like the tubes, etc. It would be great if the entire complete setup ( pillows, tubes, etc.) were taken apart, cleaned, then the video showing all the parts being put back in the machine (obviously you'll need an extra set of parts because the parts cleaned would be wet ;) I'm visual and that would be so helpful. Thanks again for your video!

I’ve been using an old ResMed machine since 2011, and finally decided to get another newer machine. I like this new 11 model. The water tank makes for a messier fill, as my old machine just had a hole in the top to pour the water. This new 11 tank makes you lift off the cover, pour, cover and slide in. I still haven’t done it yet without spilling water!

This machine is terrific! We are new to this therapy and started with a Luna machine that, because of noise, provided LESS sleep (for both of us, me, the wife, and my husband, the user) than severe APNEA. UGH! We were changed over to this machine and noise is GONE. So happy. Still getting used to the masks, we've literally tried everything available and so far it looks like the ResMed Airtouch F20 is the only one we can work with. Getting a fit that doesn't leak AND is comfortable throughout multiple sleeping positions and for longer than 3-4 hours at a time is our remaining challenge. Thanks so much for all of your work, reviews and "mini-lessons". CPAPmyway is fantastic! Cheers

I had tried sleep therapy with a cpap 6 years ago and I could not get used to it. The machine I got back then was noisey, the air pressure was not comfortable at all. Hence I stopped the treatment. Now I started the treatment up again and I got this cpap unit by Resmed and I must say it's a game changer. I love it. It is super quiet, the air pressure set is on auto and it gives me what I need when I need it. It has an app that shows your sleep results each morning and it has been easy to set up and use. I absolutely love this unit.

Also I didn’t know I needed to check my air filter weekly so I’ll be adding that step too. I thought the machine would tell me when it’s time to replace it since it’s so high tech.
I am wondering why it won’t stay connected to my Bluetooth. I keep having to reconnect it. I notice when I close the Airsense app, the Bluetooth indicator goes away. I can’t seem to figure it out.

This is better but it is a inconvenience I didn’t need to added to my sleep therapy. So if the tank wasn’t broke why did they change it….as soon as a model comes out with larger tank I will be switching now saving up to try the extra water tank.

Hello, Clay! My wife has the Resmed 11, the exact model in your video. And we LOVE and APRECIATE your video!!!! My wife is having an issue with her Resmed 11. She recently received a new reservoir. She put the NEW one in her 11 and, for her, it is VERY DIFFICULT to remove the reservoir, to fill with distilled water nightly. She put the OD one back in and it is SIMPLE for her to remove the OLD one! Please help us and advise what to do. I suggested she call the supplier and request a replacement reservoir. SHE said, "No! I'll just use the old one till I get another reservoir!" Is this the best answer please? THANK YOU, CLAY!!!!

So I had a CPAP years ago and could never get used to it and it ended up in the trash. 6 months ago I got this Air Sense 11 and it took me a couple nights to get used to it and now I use it every night ... way, way better than the old machine which I do not even remember the brand. The big PRO for this machine is the way it ramps up the pressure automatically and you do not even hear it run ... SUPER QUIET! The CON to this machine is pulling the water chamber out every night to fill it ... if this had a like a check valve port that you could use like a lab safety squeeze bottle to fill would make it so much easier ... and the other issue is that if I get 7 hours of required sleep the humidifier chamber is bone dry in the morning. It needs to be increased in size a little bit! I did a lot of research before buying this unit and I know it was the best choice!

I have been using my ResMed AirSense 11 for 3 weeks a total nightmare.
(I was on Dreamstation one for over 5 yrs.)
When speaking to the agent Megan she is in denial,
rude and condescending of what I am gong through.
The machine is loud, it does not turn off every time air flows out and it over heats.
It turns off heater when I am sleep (freezing my inners, at which time I awake and take the mask off to warm my throat and nose).
I get messages that read (attention heating system error may run with out heater). Another message something about air flow blocked.
Plus, Inside and at bottom moister and water drops.
I unplug it now when not in use. Auto is better then manual at lease when on auto the heater warms the water half the time otherwise it makes ice cubes.
I will put a trivet under unit tonight so it does not burn my wood night stand and get air flow.
    Thanks

That sounds terrible. If you are getting error codes like that the machine will need repair or replacement. I am assuming you didn't get it from us, because we do not have a Meagan, but I would definitely get with them and make sure that they get the unit repaired or replaced. Hopefully it is under warranty.

I think this was a good video, I would have liked to see you demonstrate the machine with you putting on the mask connecting the hoses. What is the correct procedure during the night & you need to use the bathroom. Do you take the mask off shut the machine or do you leave the mask on disconnect the hose leave the machine running then reconnect the hose and go back to bed. I'm a senior and I get up 3 to 4 times a night to pee what do you recommend. Also, do I really need to go thru the menu to use it or just turn it on use it and then in the morning or whenever I get up just shut if off. What is the best way to clean the hoses and how do you ensure that no water is left in the hose before using it again. Thank you

I wish they'd answer your questions. I have the same questions..I am wondering what is the recommended procedure when taking the mask off a few times during the night. I'm figuring that removing the mask for a restroom break might cause the Sleep Report to falsely report that mask isn't sealing. For example, should I enable autostart and autostop? Right now, I only have autostart enabled. Thanks!

I started with an s9. Love it and its bag. Someone in my household got a s10 i didnt care for it, when i had encouragement to get a replacement i fought to get the s11, and, its ok. I like that its smaller i dont like the tank it spills easily when you fill it, and the top is kinda curved so if you store something on top of the (s9) like foam earplugs or a remote, in the s11 it often slides off. But the display and interaction with the myair app is nice. The 10 and 11 use more distilled water than the 9 ever did though. Resmed puts no cord velcro cordkeeper on the 11 either so bring your own or its sloppy for travel. Also the filters are smaller than the 9's and the filter door on the 11 is a janky flimsy flap.

The 10 had a larger tank and I would only use half the tank even with more than 8 hours of sleep. I’m concerned about damaging the unit if all the water evaporates should I sleep past 8 hours. I’m new to CPAP and used my 11 for the first time last night. I was surprised at how quiet it is. One thing I noticed is that tonight I need to use the chin strap that I received with the machine to keep from mouth breathing! I have a long beard and mustache, and according to my report this morning, the seal on my nasal mask was good all night.
So far, one question I have is about the temperature setting. Options are automatic or selecting a specific temperature. I like to sleep in a cold bedroom, so I set the temperature at 67°F. Does lowering the temperature like I did turn off the humidifier? I couldn’t tell whether or not it did or not because the reservoir of water was still very close to the “max“ line this morning. Mine came with heated tubing if that makes any difference.

    • @CPAPmyway

The temp will regulate the tubing. Increase the setting if you get water in the tube.

The new airsense 11 - 6 months into it and I hate it. Water spills all the time filling it (¹/² way), the top pops off the water Reservoir all the time. Was not offered heating tube... wake up all night long from tooo cold air.
I HAVE to run the actual machine through cleaning process on Respify...which worked GREAT with the 10. Hose does not get clean with 1 cycle on respify. I HAVE to hand wash tube, then run it through respify system. God forbid I want to take a nap, I can't because his is still drip drying.
Auto pressure is too much. Auto pressure turned off, now not enough air.
Hose does not swivel in the unit side, I wake 3-5 times per night trying to manage the hose.
I am going back to the 10, just trying to figure out how to change the Myair.com account back to old unit.

It will run for a while to cool down. Video link below will explain that a bit.
SoClean is simple, but it will put Ozone inside the CPAP. So early corrosion or issues may occur. Might just mean that you have to get a new CPAP earlier than if you weren't using Ozone in the CPAP.

I'm sure everybody here would agree. The myAir app is fantastic. Easy to use and read your statistics.
What I don't like is the bag because there is no room for the cushion or the mask. When I do travel I have to find space in another back for those two items.

P.S. I would suggest using a lapel microphone or a professional microphone so your sound is much clearer and without the echo that is difficult to endure for the entirety of this video.

I have the Resmed AirSense 11 and use the bella loops, it is always a fight between me and the hose trying to get a pillow mask on. Is there an easier way of getting a new nasal pillow on the hose? Aslo we did not know that we should also be cleaning the hose port.

I am not sure that there is any easier way to get those replacement pillows on.

thanks for the guide. i just got mine and setup was a breeze. managed to connect my cpap to my air app. My issue is that twice now when i open my app, it would ask me to re-sync my cpap machine which i think is weird. Doing that is easy but can be annoying. any ideas why?

I just started using mine and my negative is how you fill the humidifier, spilled water all over the first time. It would be nice it it would fill while in place but on the bright side my floor got a good washing har
