What a gem of recording! Never saw this concert before, ... ! I wish there where more 'good' copies of the early concerts of BTO! Thank you so much! From a real 'Gear-Head' since 1974, Markus L. - db9pz - my Ham-radio call.
This band was so underrated but I myself saw them like 8 times . BTO put on One Ass Kicking Concert . I wish I had seen these guys when they were The Guess Who as well
BTO was my first favorite band and still love them. Fred Turner is a true gentleman. The best Rock vocalist and awesome bassist. Wish the camera was in front of Blair Thornton's ripping guitar solo the whole time. RIP Robbie and Tim Bachman🙏🙏
This line up was the best. Saw the boys back in 1974 at the legendary Aragon Ball(brawl)room in Chicago. Randy played his axe with a drumstick on one solo that actually turned out pretty cool.
Pacific NW version of ZZ TOP back in the early 70's. Just SLIGHTY Rougher 💥 then made the Canadian RNRHOF Now they should be in America Rock Hall of Fame. These boys seriously ROCK ⚠️
Even with Sabbath and Zeppelin well established this must have been a punch in the face even in 73/74. No one really had that growling voice yet like Fred, Motorhead and Lemmy had not hit the scene yet.
I saw this on abc tv back in 1973 and they also did Let It Ride & Taking Care Of Business. I've been looking for those on youtube for a while. this episode also had Loggins & Messina and The Pointer Sisters.
Hands down the best rock band that ever came out of Canada 🇨🇦
Fred has/had one of the best rock voices. This is my favorite BTO song not only to listen to, but play in the band as well. Love it! BTO forever.

Best rock singer Fred turner
Old school big fat kick ass rock 'n roll. RIP Robbie Bachman. Wish we could turn back the clock to 1973...
Tim Bachman died he played and sang on the first two albums. Randy kicked him out, because Randy had a zero drug use policy.
1973 a good time 😎👍
Randy Bachman and Blair Thornton are fantastic guitar players.

Nah this is the best you ain't missing much..! lol 😎✌
I saw BTO and they kicked ass!
Agree about underrated
Only Randy Bachman was in the Guess Who.
They weren't The Guess Who. Only Randy was.
These old school, kick-ass rockers would wipe the floor with any upstarts and music of today.

Mine too and I'm 61
@jeffreyedwards6759 Awesome and I just turned 62. Randy and Fred are 81!! God Bless!!
Fantastic band. ❤love it
One Of The Original Dual Lead Guitar Atacks In Hard Rock History. SKILLS. ...And gotta Mention Turners Thundering Vocals to match the Bass Line.
If you are on the front line this is the band you want with you opposition would not stand a chance just a trucking juggernaut.

Great comparison. I was thinking early Nickleback. They were my 1st ever concert back in the 70s. 👍🇨🇦🤘
@@djbone604 Nickleback? FFS, BTO would destroy them.
This cannot be 1973, Blair Thornton joined BTO early 1974
Might be ' 73 with Blair as guest guitarist. Randy and Fred rockin' vintage guitars. And Randy was still rather slender in this video.
rip Robbie
R.I.P. Tim.
Super heavy...... figuratively and 2/4 literally. 👍
Randy was lethal with those kicks!!!!!🤘🤘🤘🤘
Heavy...heavy...heavy.
hell''''''''''''' yea', my anthem since 1975''''''''''
Badass.
Thank you..... original fan here

Can’t be 1973, Blair Thornton didn't join the band until 1974.
Indeed, he joined BTO in early 1974
Tim Bachman was in the band in 73
super canadian group.

Is this Blair’s first time on stage with BTO? Thanks for posting!
ANY MORE TUNES FROM THIS CONCERT?
I saw this on abc tv back in 1973 and they also did Let It Ride & Taking Care Of Business. I've been looking for those on youtube for a while. this episode also had Loggins & Messina and The Pointer Sisters.
🔥
The real deal......bto
Is that the Rainbow from the Cal Jam concert?
Loved them back in 1974 when I first heard of them, and I still do. Timeless!
Terrific!
