    Hey Buddy, I just did this today......It was plugged up good. Cleaned out the sensor good with engine cleaner and brake clean. Used a small pick and air. A 1" deep socket and 10" extension reached from above. Didn't have to remove any components. Between the dip stick and rad hose. It's brass so it won't be seized. Now to get the gunk out of the tube ?? Brake clean and shop vac. Not good enough....so, considering the line was open I started the engine.....rev'd it up and blew it out clean like a rocket. Perfect. Thanks for your efforts.....Regards. PS, re-install was tricky, fine threads, start by hand. Patients.

      Yeah 👍, I've done it the same way as you. Dang its a tight fit for arms, But worth it! (between that PS hose and whatever that other one was haha)

    Replacing the EBP sensor on my 2006 F250 6.0 really did make a difference. I used some wire to ensure the tube was not blocked. After installing the new EBP sensor (the old one was probably from 2006 - looked old), my truck ran better than it ever has. No turbo bark and throttle response was way better. Bucking on an incline also disappeared.

    Thanks for the video. Worked like a charm. My 2003 manifold didn't want to let go of the tube though. Lol

      It was strange though because if you let the truck idle for a while it wasn't near as bad but if you got fuel or stopped at the store and cranked it up and put it in gear and took off it sounded and acted just like yours.

    Highly recommend doing the sea foam addition to fuel filter and running it to clean out injectors

    • @KKthebeast.Swolestick
      @KKthebeast.Swolestick 4 года назад

      What do you do for that Clyde? sea foam to the fuel filter. like just pour a little into the top filter next to the oil filter? And how much did you recommend for safety sir

    So the later model 6.0s seemed to have the sensor further back

  • @gnarlock3927
    @gnarlock3927 4 года назад +2

    Some say there's a flash update that changes the strategy to not use the EBP sensor and just use inferred readings from the MAF, IAT1/2, and EVRT Actuator. Wonder if you can just flash it and not have to worry about the sensor?

  • @dakotaflowers0
    @dakotaflowers0 6 лет назад +3

    I'm having a similar issue with my truck, cant determine if its Ebp or injector stiction. But mine sounds weird at cold idle, and runs very sluggish, builds full boost but feels weak, trans shifts funny and my god the turbo bark is outrageous. It typically stops though after running for 30 minutes or so. Have to look into this myself.

    • @latherrinserepeat8615
      @latherrinserepeat8615  6 лет назад +2

      Dakota Flowers I’m not a mechanic nor am I qualified to give advice but the shut down after 30 min is one symptom of dummy plug or seal issue in the high pressure oil system. It sounds like you may have a few things going on at once.

      @user-wm2ez3ih1x I ended up having to re do my tune so returned to stock then re added the tune and once you do the tune guy told me there is a relearn period so many miles driven and supposed to get feel for your driving said once I re added the tune I wasn't driving at speeds or accelerations that far into the pedal I called bs but drove in the country after re adding the tune and have had no issues since

    Mannnb your having all my issues except for the Trans issue mine shifts fine but I can hold steady at 35 psi of boost but feel like I'm going absolutely no where I've talked to a few people and they're all telling me to take to the dealer so I'm about to try this and see if I notice a difference

    My 7.3 is having this problem but different symptoms, only does it when it's cold outside and engine isn't warmed up and it only happens when I keep my Rpms steady. It'll sometimes do that turbo bark for no reason and it'll have a loud sucking vacuum noise very strange I wonder if this will solve my problem. Also I noticed my trans shifts kind of weird as well

      I’m not a mechanic by any means. I would check some forums. The loud sucking sound makes me wonder if you have a turbo intercooler leak?

      Is your 7.3 chipped? Stock turbos will surge if you try to pull too much out of em. My old 7.3 with the stock turbo would surge like crazy pulling a trailer up hill if I got in it too much. Had a ts6 chip on it
