Another way to check and test sensors if you don't have a scan tool. Test your 5v reference with a ohm reader. If its low like below 4.95v Unplug each sensor one at a time when it jumps back to 5v after which ever last one you unplugged you found the bad sensor. All sensors on the 6.0 other then cam and crank sensor are connected to the 5v. I've even had issues with a bad EBP on my 03' they are inferred in 03'stratagy but if sensor is bad it will still take a dump on your day

Holy shit that difference is insane, I couldn't figure out why the 6.0 I just bought doesn't sound like a 6.0 I cut the exhaust off because I'm planning on putting mbrp on but still no 6.0 sounds I'm like dude what is going on here, thank you for the video!!

So I ordered your soft tunes with the tis 100 psi map sensor and 6.4 ebp sensor with the tunes. My baro reads 13 map reads 10 and EBP reads 0 . Engine running at idle. Put new hose on map and installed another. 6.4 ebp ( international) still same readings. Using CTs 3 and ford ids scan tool to monitor pids. It’s this normal for this tune with the 100psi map and 6.4 ebp?

So a high reading on mine can’t cause lower boost or anything since I run a 369sxe? Having a boost issue, maxing out at 23psi WOT. Map and baro are good, but ebp is 38-40psi engine off, and will spike 200+ psi under load. Have pressure tested from compressor housing and it will hold. Any ideas?

So a new sensor KOEO should read .8 volts right? I’m at .95 with it off and around 1 volt at an idle Also with it off it’s at 15.2 psi for the ebp. Trying to rule out that sensor here. Not sure what to do

im so glad i found this.... i took my truck to 2 different shops my regular guy was booked out 3 weeks at the time so to sum it up somethings not right low boost 8-10 1/4 throttle if i punch it it'll shoot up to 20 n i get the good turbo noise n a little puff of black smoke. at idle baro is 14.3 n map is 14.5 ebp is 18-19 using my scangauge so does that mean ebp is bad? i replaced the tube n now my 2nd ford sensor replaced map n baro sensors n map hose n cleaned the fitting i thought an exhaust leak at first n replaced the up pipe not much difference if u tell me im right its the sensor maybe i'll an alliant sensor see if its any different

I don’t have a snap on scan tool to be able to see stuff like that but I’m in complete confusion. I just installed an upgraded 64.7mm KC compressor with 10 blade on my 03. Turbo preformed amazing and sounded amazing for a couple of weeks. Now my truck feels like a 2 stroke trying to hit power band, my whistle isn’t anywhere as loud as it used to be nor is my Chewbacca roar. I’m leaning towards map sensor or mega boost leak but my turbo is also surging. Any pointers are much appreciated

I would pull the ebp sensor and replace that plus the tube first. You can also use an Edge CTS3 to see this same data.

Some surging in the turbo around 2000-2500 rpm and sometimes at idle once warmed up I cleaned the ebp tube and sensor but no results, replaced vgt solenoid and pigtail with nothing aswell looking to replace the ebp sensor but wanted to see if there’s anything else I could be missing

when you switch out the sensor should you blow the tube out with compressed air before you put the new one on? or perhaps start the truck with the sensor off for a minute to blow the gunk out of the pipe?

Good morning, I have 2004 with an intermittent loss of power. It doesn't feel normal (no power) at times on take off, at times while standing at a traffic light, the truck continues to run, but I lose the accelerator peddle. Is this the EBP or MAP sensor causing lack of turbo boost? Your comments are appreciated and happy new year

I have the SCT livewire, can I see the pressures on these sensors with that?? I'm thinking I have a bad ebp sensor...I am building good boost when driving 23-25psi..Thank You

Im having random issues with my 04 6.0. It keeps giving a map sensor code (p0237). I've already replaced my Map sensor twice, cleaned the tube, replaced the hose, cleaned my turbo vanes, changed my vgt solenoid, iat sensor. Im completely lost now. Im not having any power loss, but my idle is diffrent and SCT scanners randomly reads negative 11.59 psi. Any advice will be appreciated!

Having a low boost issue on my 06, maxes around 17 at wide open. Watching all my data while driving found the EBP to read 40-45 PSI with the engine off. Obviously no bueno. Bought an EBP sensor from my local Ford dealer and installed, had no change. Now I’m stuck diagnosing the electrical, hoping it’s something easy/obvious. Ever seen one be off by that far?

No smoke or anything when WOT. Any ideas?? There's no tune in the truck just straight pipes and intake.

How do you diagnose a harnesses issue for the ebp sensor? What should the resistance be at each of the 3 pins?

    Barometric pressure- .97 bar
