Have been racking my brain to figure why i did have any power for over a year on a e450 w/152,000 , cleaned ebp today (what could it hurt) WOW! what a huge difference. Swapped gears to 3.73 a few months back ,now it feels like the 4.10s are back in. Thanks!
I've watched this video three times over three days and several of your other videos. Thank you. I'm now a subscriber to your channel. One thing I noticed is that your new pigtail wires seem to be the same color. If true, does it matter how they are spliced in? Thank you.
The most noticeable symptom is a Check Engine Light on, and typically codes for EBP fault. This sensor is primarily an input for the variable geometry turbo, along with the EGR valve. Symptoms may be anything from low or high boost, to shifting concerns. There are some PCM updates for the '03-'04 6.0's that eliminate the use of this sensor. It is always a good idea to make sure your control modules are at the latest calibrations.
+Standard Brand I pulled mine yesterday and cleaned it. No difference in how it's running. Mine dead pedals at 2000 rpm and backfires when I release the pedal. I've never heard a 6.0 backfire. And is not coming back out the intake it's straight up exhaust backfire. Ficm maybe?? I'm at a loss
Yes, there are calibrations that over ride this sensor, however there are still a lot of trucks on the road that still haven't been reflashed. Also if this sensor shorts out it can take down the 5-volt reference line.

Short video, but with all the crap out of the way and good lighting, you made it very easy to see what I needed to see, thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. We are happy that you found it helpful.
I need the ebp tube replaced do you have a part number? I ordered one but was bent the wrong way.
Are the wires marked, or doesn't it matter how they are spliced?
What are the symptoms of a bad or clogged sensor

Without being in front of the vehicle we can not speculate what it may be, we recommend you take it to your local mechanic.
+Standard Brand Lol I am my local mechanic. Nobody close to me
Buck Shot I know It's been a couple years now lol but did you figure out the problem.
my 2006 6.0 isnt starting and this code p0472 came out says is this sensor you think that could be it
It is certainly one of the possibilities for that code. If you replace the sensor it is always a good idea to replace the pigtail connector with it.
Says this was done on an 03. Weren't the 03 and early 04 6.0s reflashed to not need the ebp?
