That video was uploaded way too soon. The game actually does mention all of the things. Either from an NPC or on the loading tips. Sometimes both. Like cooking on hot surfaces, freezing food on cold surfaces, surfaces becoming slippery when wet, and all that other shit, too.
Danger Man Hello i am nerd actually why you mean did i say anything mean no WHY *i wish this guy/girl never existed oh its ok hehe you dont know what im thinking hehe*
1. The game tells you how to properly cook things (with and without pot) within the first 5 minutes of gameplay, 2. using fire arrows simply to instantly roast the meat is the biggest waste i can imagine, 3. there are several NPCs at stables and towns that give you tips for climbing and for example tell you that climbing during rain isn't a good idea, 4. there are dozens of NPCs stating that it's dangerous to run around during storms and there are shrines and quests involving lightning storms teaching you how to safely avoid getting hit by a lightning strike 5. the first stable you reach in the game the first thing that happens is a guy tellnig you all the stuff about horses, and yes, he also says they have different stats and behavior. 6. there's an NPC and several quests and tips about bonding with horses, how important that is, how you do it and what it does, 7. there are NPCs telling you to try feed the dogs.. 8. there are so many dudes telling you that baiting fish is a good thing and even a fucking loadingscreen tooltip that tells you it's possible 9. OMG THE DESCRIPTION OF THE ITEM LITERALLY TELLS YOU EXACTLY THIS 10. you simply can not miss the updraft effect of near burning grass 11. you cant even sell korok seeds so there's no need to say "save them" and there's an NPC you cant miss while on the way to the first town of the main quest 12. there are several NPCs and a book you can find, all telling you those shiny bunnies drop rupees and there's a loading screen tooltip 13. stealing fairys and what effect they have is a well known thing since the very beginning of the zelda franchise + even the damn item description tells you what fairys do. long story short the whole video is completely garbage and nothing but clickbait. seriously, do you even pay attention to the game? how in gods name can you miss so many things, do you just run straight to ganon or what???
george giannou The point of his post was not to criticize the video's tactics. It was to show how the the game DOES tell the player about all of these points, and this video is outright wrong about most of its points.
I know that everyone has said it so far, but these tips are pretty much first knowledge. Here are some of my tips I didn't know until I looked at better guides. 1. You can make hard boiled eggs by dropping bird eggs in the hot springs at death mountain. 2. Feed your horse an endura carrot to give it temporary speed boosts. 3. To make monster cake heal more hearts, put a bird egg in with the ingredients. 4. Ancient weapons do more damage to Guardians (I think this one is more obvious, but just in case, I'm adding it.) 5. You can make a dish out of 5 hearty durians that gives you a total of 20 temporary hearts. 6. If you want to steal the items off of a hinox's necklace, and you're afraid to climb onto it, sneak onto it's hand and wait for it to lift you onto it's belly. 7. Holding elemental weapons can help you in harsh temperatured environments. Flameblades raise your body heat, and Frostblades lower it. 8. The deactivated guardians and broken carts will sometimes have stuff in them, just walk up to them and press A when the search option appears. 9. (not completely sure on this one) Using a dragon horn shard in an elixir that has a boost with a time limit will extend it's effect to 30 minutes. I couldn't come up with 11 at this time. It's hard to think of tips when mostly everyone knows them.
You do still need the cooking pot... You need it to make actual meals, which you need to do if you want to use a material's effects, such as a mushroom increasing stamina. Said mushroom can't be put on an open fire - it won't give you the stamina boost. (This is just an example.)
...There's a whole bunch of them surrounding The Lord of the Forest... Follow the glowing blue light at night ...can't remember where in the mountains tho

@@Ysalomet fun fact. The mountain's named after I think the head of the game's production or development who ended up dying of cancer before he could see the completed game. It was such a shame because apparently he was happy to interact and toss opinions back and forth with his staff. I heard that after his death, whenever some of the developers got a great idea they'd think "I can't wait to share that with..." Then they'd remember. I think the lord of Satori mountain might be a representation of him.
@@jessicaable5095 Yeah, I know right ...I just recently saw a vid tribute to him where it was stated he even had cut his own pay when the Wii U didn't do so well... ...It just goes to show he was a beloved and kind man whose advise and wisdom has been missed deeply by those who knew him...
Silver Gaming yeah it was clearly made right after the game came out (see the publish date). It would have mentioned how the dogs lead you to chests otherwise. The game explicitly mentions many of these concepts, implicitly shows you the rest. For instance, the balloon mechanics are explicitly introduced in a shrine dedicated to them, and there's also that boy that asks you to make a barrel float as a side quest. I wish this video were retitled "11 mechanics in Breath of the Wild that you almost certainly are already familiar with"
That's cool. If you strike a regular Chuchu (monster) with any weapon, the jelly (item) will change type according to the type of weapon you used. One for each of the three elements. Some ice blocks can be melted with fire weapons. You can light regular arrows on fire to make them fire arrows, and just hold it near the ice block to melt it faster and more efficiently. You can also activate dungeon items with your weapons. Got an electric switch that you can't figure out how to activate? Use an electric weapon. Got a switch you can't find out what to put on it? Throw a few weapons on it. Also, most walls in the dungeons can be jumped over if you line yourself up right, jump, shield jump, remove your shield, and doubleclick a bomb ability. This puts you quite high up from a jump, and propels you forward with from the bomb explosion. None of these compare to yours though, so have an extra. Supply and demand take effect in the game too. If it's raining, less people are likely to buy from a shop, so you get better deals during the rain.
1. Feed a dog 3 times and they will lead you to buried treasure 2. Crouch and move slowly towards a fairy and they won't run, works with lizards and bugs too 3.(fun fact i found out) lizalfos can't see under their chin. Not too helpful most of the time but still funny
Since everything said is in fact told by the game, wonder if he even noticed the shooting star falling when he was shooting the part of feeding the dog
He also said armor can attract lighting which is wrong, and you actually can pet the stable dogs, take off your melee weapon, crouch, get next to doggos face, try to take out melee weapon, it takes awhile but the friendship bubbles eventually show. Also rip the star fragment 😢
BIG useful tip: everyone knows you can start a campfire to cook or pass time by placing flint and wood next to eachother and strike the flint. HOWEVER flint isnt super super common. CHUCHU JELLY is however. throw a bunch in a fire and make fire chuchu jelly. now you have a much more effective fire starter that is more common.
0:15 Is mentioned in the loading screen tips 1:09 Is mentioned in the loading screen tips 1:40 Is mentioned in the loading screen tips 2:12 it doesn't directly tell you but it is obvious as shit 3:22 It doesn't say how to do it but guess where it is mentioned 4:22 is mentioned in the item description 4:57 is mention in the loading screen tips 5:35 It doesn't directly tell you this but you can find a tree dude near Kakariko that does
2:12 is actually mentioned if you talk to one of the NPCs at the stable near Kakariko. They tell you that the horses are different speed-wise depending on colouring. 5:35 The whole thing he says about "not selling them or using them in cooking" is stupid, because they're key items that can't be sold or used in cooking anyways. There's nothing left to use them for besides unlocking upgrades, which is pretty blatantly obvious as soon as you encounter the big Korok.
In addition to load screen tips, most if not all of these things are mentioned by at least one NPC.. although you have to talk to everyone and pay attention... which, I understand is asking a lot of some people XD
... every player knows these ‘hidden mechanics’... the loading screen gives you all of these tips... And so many of these are wrong! I am disappointed in humanity
I didn’t know all of that. And yes I own the game, I just haven’t played it as much nor have gotten that far into it!!! Very unfair comment you made!! I work for a living full time as well as spending time with my family. Therefore I do not have a lot of time to just sit and play the game
@@rain4325 please tell me this is a joke cause if its not you are an actual idiot. This is all just common knowledge and if you really didnt know this stuff somehow then you dont have to comment about it complaining lol
ok... well, most of these a player that spent more than 1h in the game will already know and also.. - You don't need to take out your metal armor when there's a storm, only the weapons and shield affect that - You only need 1 balloon for anything (light or heavy, doesn't matter). You could use more if you wanted to fly on a raft and want it stabilized. In that case, put one in all corners, but for lifting objects 1 is enough - 5:13 did you guys just attack a dog?.. DISLIKE! - You can't sell or cook your Korok seeds.... have you guys even played the game?.. - You can find plenty of Blupees on Satori Mountain - You can carry as many fairies as you can find, not just 3.. wtf - DON'T run towards the fairies! They'll run away forever if you do that, like every other animal.. just walk slowly and they'll stay there. If you have stealth armor/potions/food, even better gee, play the game before making these videos or you'll sound really unprofessional
You can't actually carry ad many fairies as you want. After you get to like 5, it despawns any others in the vicinity and prevents more from spawning. You can, however, hold some in your hands to make more spawn, because they don't count as being in your inventory while holding them. Grab the newly-spawned one's and you can have up to I think 8 at once.
Wow! This is really helpful. Said no one EVER! Everyone that plays botw that has been off of the Great Plataeu for a while knows every one of these things
I've been able to hold 6, but they seem to stop spawning once you have 3, get 2 and a fountain usually has 4 fairies you can sneak up on and grab all of them. Plus 2 out of the 5 million times i've stopped by a fountain, there were 5 fairies.
There's also a way to force them to spawn I've seen some videos on, so I've seen 7 or more. Also, just walk slowly and they'll straight fly up to you, way easier than trying to chase them down.
If you sprint at the fairys they will fly away but if you sneak on them they don't. You can't sell or eat korok seeds. The game shows you how to soothe a horse at the bottom. If you want to find more Bloopers go to Satori mountain when it's glowing, you will find plenty of them. You didn't meantion that if yuo feed a dog a couple of more meats they will lead you to a hidden chest, just by standing next to a dog will make it follow you. You find out that rain make climbing near impossible in the first hour of the game.
also not only guardian swords u can also equip guardian shields, bow, etc so u can equip guardian wepon for thunder storms but u can use wood to save durability
Or you know just walk. Cause Link has 3 speeds, walking and running, holding down the B button is a sprint. So just tilt the left analog in the direction you want to go but don't tilt it as far as it'll go and you'll just kinda walk leisurely, do this and things like insects, lizards, and fairies wont run away as soon as you get near them. Really this video is a "Do not watch" thing cause not only is the title wrong, but most of these are for those who have like zero attention span. One thing I think should've been on here was the shield surfing mechanic, yes it's mentioned as such but it doesn't really tell you how to do it. Like I even went to this hut in the middle of the mountains that's in the northwest and found this "ex shield surfing pro". She told me how to but i couldn't figure out why i couldn't do it, either it's just a Wii U thing or what but you have to block with your shield, jump, and then hit A. I may have not read the instructions right when i talked to her but I could've sworn she didnt say "Hit the A button"
So 2 years later I watch this well described "hidden"-mechanic video... and all I have to say..: -There IS a friggin difference between roasting and cooking so you DO need the cook pot. -Rain affects surfaces..REALLY NO JOKE?!? This NEVER came up to my attention since the rain NEVER starts everytime you are merely thinking of climbing that wall.. -GOSH you can get hit by lightning and I didn't notice that although I'm a terminator who's called Benjamin Franklin, so sad I can't follow your totally SECRET advice to unequip anything metallic; maybe there's a foundry in botw that could help, who knows? -Each horse is different? No the status-overview at the stables is deco only. -Horses trust you the more you pet them? Wrong again, I always pet them with my hottest love in form of a Flameblade and they just spit ash afterwards instead of obeying. -You can use food to befriend a dog?!? I always thought you need to gift them a brand new Iphone X and a new car for their 18th to just get a glimmer of attention; next you tell me it will lead me to a treasure chest if I feed it long enough.. -It never came up to my mind I should use case specific food depending on the kind of fish to catch it; that's the most advanced, easy to follow and - on top of that - OOT's sink-rod-like advice I've EVER heard! Screw just equipping Zora's armor and just grabbing it or using 1 Shock Arrow to get a mass-amount - just throw your food into the water and hope the fish likes it and if not, well there's always a next day to try again! Very efficient! -Using Octo-ballons to make items fly is "fun"?! Damn I always built up a flying machine made of 2 iron-wagons, but that's so boring compared to your suggestion.. -An updraft made of fire is useful to get up mountains Link's stamina would be too low for?!? Ok Ravioli, use your gale to fly back to the canned-shelf; I prefer wasting my fire arrows to get up that hill. Dammit, now it just starts raining again... -Defenitely do not SELL or COOK the Korok-seeds!! Pal I eat them raw and then Hestu can choke on my shit that he is so enjoyed to be given, but I don't want to spoil you - (p)oops too late.. -Green and blue rupees are dropped when shooting that ghost bunny?! Dammit again, mine only dropped red and purple rupees, so I thought it best to leave them since they weren't green or blue! Thank you for your help and bewaring me from a fatal mistake! Fairies can be used for being revived?!? This Zelda is so revolutionary! I wish this mechanic was present in previous titles.. Btw does anyone know what the bottles in OOT are for? - WAIT wait, I know - to catch fish right? OH NOOO, those were all ultra hidden facts you've got 4 me? But I'm still so eager to learn more competitive advices.. Well no biggie, I just watch teletubbies to get optimal educational input.
I’ve picked up a max of 5 organically, before none will spawn anymore. But have gotten more than that with this method; Go to a different fountain, pull out three and hold them in your hand and 3 more will instantly spawn. Go to a different fountain again, release one, and then hold three again, and three more will spawn. That’s the max I’ve tried. Could possibly be more, haven’t tested it.
Umm... Sam, you're really dense, huh? He was talking about when the guy in the video got revived. He said he was revived by a fairy, but it was mipha's grace that revived him. Nobody here said that fairies don't revive you. We just said he confused miphas grace for a fairy.
Zebo12345 Sorry couldn't be bothered to watch the video because it is really dumb and gives us no information I was also salty after playing a game so that's what made me call him a noob.
@@nahitsdragon9873 you get can get so many korok seeds it's not funny (over 900 of them) by the time you've collected them all you should have just about all the upgrades you'd want anyway
every last one of these can be found on the loading screens. for players that have only just acquired the master cycle, however, one interesting mechanic is that any attack you land while in motion on the master cycle will become a critical hit. spears work the best for this as they attack the fastest and most if not all mobs in this game flinch if they take a critical hit if they don't get launched backwards outright. probably the funniest mob to do this to would be the mobile guardian stalkers, as they actually get knocked back by a spear crit. landing a long string of them will literally let you send the guardian tumbling across hyrule field at the same speed as the master cycle.
Most of these are not "hidden" mechanics. Many of these things are revealed either through talking to NPCs (like for taming and seeing horse stats) or reading the loading screen tips (like effects of lightning or environmental temperatures affecting ingredients). As for the lightning kill, you are correct that it has to do with the metal you are wearing, however, it is not random. If you are wearing any metal and lightning strikes near you (as it often will) your metal items will start to spark, if you do not unequip those items, you are guaranteed to have lightning strike and kill you. This will even happen to at least smaller enemies as I've seen several get fried when they picked up their metal weapons. (There was one Moblin who, despite having a metal sword and shield, would spark up, but the lightning would never come down near him, as if there is a range from strikes and he would walk in and out of it.)
+Consti2tionTPG If a Guardian takes enough damage, they will do this. I could see a lightning strike causing it. You can get them to fire randomly when beating on them with the Master Sword as well. Usually it is on the old stationary ones.
Dustin Hamm once you get the lightning proof [spoiler] you can also just walk into enemy camps during thunderstorms and watch them get obliterated, its one of my favorite things to do, (watch out tho bc it doesnt protect your horse, but it doesnt instakill them either)
I find it funny because even the name suggests that you have a bond to nature in it. Like hunting down wild animals with your bow, chomping trees, or catching fish with your bare hands. But all I do is throw bombs at everything.
MasterKcoop I wish I could unview a thing. It looks like it worked and that's the only thing that really matters. Granted I won't subscribe or watch anything from the channel ever again.
He said 11 things the game didnt tell you about (and how stupid you are). Not 11 things you didn't know about zelda breath of the wild. Also this was right after the release so he doesnt know everything.
"never tells you about" The game literally tells you about all of these things in the loading screens. Also, you can't sell or cook korok seeds, so 9 is just flat out wrong.
The game DOES tell you some of these. For example, the bunny thing is in one of the gossip books found in stables. It's easily missable though, especially this early in such a big game.
Yeah, but some of those are still hidden and or missable. The game did introduce me to parrying, perfect dodging and charged attacks after I figured it out myself but the game has not explained to me that I can shield surf
This wasn't helpful at all. Everything in this video is in item descriptions or mentioned ingame. Please don't be copying obvious material into a video just for your precious views - make something that's worth it.
Nice clickbaity title.."the game never tells you about"..bullshit. The game tells you about almost all of the things you listed: 1. Food vendor in Goron City tells you exactly this 3. Loading screen hint (the climbing part) 4. Loading screen hint 5. Sidequest 6. Sidequest and conversations 7. Loading screen hint and conversations (and you can just kneel infront of the dog to make it follow you) 8. Loading screen hint 9. Like wtf? The item description in your video even says this 10. Loading screen hint 11. You cannot sell or cook your Korok seeds, that one is just dumb 12. Sidequest, diary, conversations 13. Don't know any ingame mention, but you can carry more than 3 and that's 13, not 11
I was wearing a low-level cold- weather gear and came across a place where it wasn't enough protection. naturally I wanted to make a fire, and all I had on me was the fire rod and noticed that if I'm carrying it on my back, it would keep me warm enough. that's pretty neat.
Cole Longó even if this is many peoples first Zelda, isn't the fairy revive thing kind of a extremely known feature for Zelda? I don't honestly know so don't call me stupid if i'm wrong. But i feel like even people who don't play Zelda knows about the fairy thing.
Every one of these except feeding dogs is explicitly told to you by the game within the first two hours. Pretty sure OP is the type to skip past cutscenes and never interact with npcs who aren't plot-vital.
Sindri Suncatcher These ate absolutely not explained, the only thing explained explicitly is climbing when wet. Everything else seems to be left for you to discover. I'm 10+ hours in and haven't seen prompts for anything other than climbing.
Talk to more npcs, they absolutely to explain a lot of these things. I haven't experienced every one, but I bet it's out there, as I've even encountered someone talking about interacting with the dogs.
Every one of these except feeding dogs is either an npc on the way to kakoriko or one of the tips on the loading screens. And people talk about interacting with dogs, just not feeding them specifically. Now there are some vital parts of the combat system nobody mentions... until you get to the shrine overlooking Kakoriko. Also nobody ever tells you how to cook, so I spent like three minutes dicking around with the pot trying to get a button prompt or a menu, but it's pretty self explanatory once you notice the 'hold' option on every material in your inventory.
something along the lines of "make a canine companion and he may lead you to some interesting objects" is in the loading screen tips just like almost all the other things in this video.
ha well i thought it was odd considering how much is in this game a single button prompt for "pet dog" being entirely overlooked would've just been weird
You can actually carry up to 11 fairies at a time, not 3.Up to 4 fairies spawn when you visit a Great Fairy Fountain, but they won't appear unless you're carrying 2 or fewer. However, you can circumvent this by going into your inventory and holding as many of your collected fairies as you can. While they're in your hands, they don't count as being in your inventory, so if that drops the number in your bag low enough, extra fairies should instantly spawn, and they stay there even after you stuff your collection back in your pocket.Just don't rush in like a maniac and try to snatch them up like they're Golden Snitches. That hurts their feelings.
The detail in this game is insane. I really want a switch but sadly couldnt get one. I'm gonna have to wait till they have more in stock. Anyone know when they'll have more in stock?
Well I guess people in my country don't care about Nintendo because there are a lot of Switches and Breath of the Wilds in stock... (I live in Hungary)
You can also bond with your horse by giving it an apple. (hold the apple then stand in front of the horse-the horse will take it from you and bond every time.)
You can also lure wild horses with apples as well. Works really well. Found out that horses eat apples from a Korok minigame where you had to drop apples in statues but my stupid horse kept eating them all
a game trick: yes the dogs near the stables follow you if you feed them one piece of meat, however, if you feed them 3 or 4 pieces, you have to wait and let them guide you to a hidden treasure chest nearby and use magnesis to pull it out
Spottiegirl33 luckily if you have time to kill, you can just keep reloading the last save before you scanned the amiibo to get around the 24hr cool down if you get a chest instead of Epona.
I don't think this person has ever played another Zelda game besides botw. I think everybody who has EVER played another Zelda game knows that fairys revive you. He stated it like it was a completely new thing 😂. And also "Katariko village" 👌.
what about the Link Amiibo dropping the hyrulian shield?? Also lighting doesn't hit armor, only bows swords and shields. Also cooking something with fire isn't really cooking since you don't get the bonus effect since you are only roasting it. Finally the best way to catch faeries is sneaking up, you can get them all instead of just one if you run at them.
a lot of these are mentioned in loading screen tips or just aren’t accurate. and the lightening storms was obvious. first time i played, as soon as i saw the first spark on my shield, i got the idea right away. it’s actually a pretty straight forward mechanic...
I'm rather talking about BOTW's amount of features and its general level of detail though. MGSV is still an incredibly deep game but it's various cut features and poor design decisions didn't quite earn it a 10/10 rating. 9/10 would be perfect IMO.
That was confirmed to be a false rumor Joshua. There's lots of people who would believe in an anonymous Reddit-post that has nothing to back up its claims.
I cannot blame you. On the Metal Gear-fanpage on Facebook I myself started believing all sorts of rumors about the amount of content being cut from the game as much as 80-90% or that the whole thing being a giant PR-stunt and that Kojima was just fucking with us. Though I still don't know if the game's just as incomplete as it is or that it's actually meant to be what it came out to be. I mean developers have to cut content all the time, this is nothing new in the industry :/ .
You can, kinda. There´s no seperate animation for it but if you go to a dog and hit the attack button without any weapon equipped, it´ll do the same thing.
They bond with you if you stay nnear them, but it's faster to feed them and if happy enough they will take you to a secret nearby (often buried chests)
Many of these the game flat out tells you. Most of them are displayed in the loading screen tips, while stuff like cooking meat in hot environments is flat out stated by a npc goron who sells cooked meat.
All the wrong facts in this video:
.The game tells you this stuff in the loading screen, so the title is wrong
.Gerudo Desert isn't hot enough to cook food
.Seared meat doesn't give you cold resistance
.You can't cook korok seeds
.To get the more expensive korok seed upgrades, you need the lesser ones first
.You need to sneak up on the faries to catch them, running in will just scare them off and you can't catch them
.That was Mipha's Grace that revived you, not a fairy
The person who wrote this video needs to be fired
also, you can carry more than 3 fairies I've carried up to 5 when they stop appearing at the fountain

Yep...even better if you have one of the full Stealth suits.
4. Ancient weapons do more damage to Guardians (I think this one is more obvious, but just in case, I'm adding it.)
It's hard to think of tips when mostly everyone knows them.
how could you come up with an 11th when you dont even have 10 🤔 hmmm
Creator of the K-Verse this is useful, the video? Is garbage
Oo I didnt think about the hinox one! Thanks!
I liek mudkipz it said "with 11", not "with an 11th" so they meant 11 as in "11 in total" and not 11 as in "one more than the 10 I already have"
@Breanne Ciccone no it doesn't if you are quite enough you can do it without.
You do still need the cooking pot... You need it to make actual meals, which you need to do if you want to use a material's effects, such as a mushroom increasing stamina. Said mushroom can't be put on an open fire - it won't give you the stamina boost. (This is just an example.)
It can be put on an open fire to be cooked, just no effect except healing a heart
Literally I didn't know cooking pots existed until I needed one Bruh moment

Anyone who's played the game outside of the Great Plateau for more than an hour knows basically all of these things.
I wish this video were retitled "11 mechanics in Breath of the Wild that you almost certainly are already familiar with"
Silver Gaming exactly
Silver Gaming yup i do
so true
yeah!
i, have no joke, saw all of these in the tip's in the game (loading screen)
here's a real tip. If your near water and you see a swarm of birds, it means their is a load of fishes their and you can just hope in and take them.
If you wear a lynel mask, dogs are automatically friendly
If you want a certain type of chuchu, you need to use the certain type of weapon to do the last strike
Julian Gunhus Actually, it means that there is a chest in the water.
1. Feed a dog 3 times and they will lead you to buried treasure
2. Crouch and move slowly towards a fairy and they won't run, works with lizards and bugs too

In addition to load screen tips, most if not all of these things are mentioned by at least one NPC.. although you have to talk to everyone and pay attention... which, I understand is asking a lot of some people XD

well, most of these a player that spent more than 1h in the game will already know and also..
- You don't need to take out your metal armor when there's a storm, only the weapons and shield affect that
- You only need 1 balloon for anything (light or heavy, doesn't matter). You could use more if you wanted to fly on a raft and want it stabilized. In that case, put one in all corners, but for lifting objects 1 is enough
- 5:13 did you guys just attack a dog?.. DISLIKE!
- You can't sell or cook your Korok seeds.... have you guys even played the game?..
- You can find plenty of Blupees on Satori Mountain
- You can carry as many fairies as you can find, not just 3.. wtf
- DON'T run towards the fairies! They'll run away forever if you do that, like every other animal.. just walk slowly and they'll stay there. If you have stealth armor/potions/food, even better
gee, play the game before making these videos or you'll sound really unprofessional
The wolves kinda deserve it when they try to attack you. But that one hadn't howled yet...so agreed
I cant ever find a new fairy once i have 5 so i think thats kinda the limit
Alucard okay so at 5:13 they attacked a wolf not a dog

Th3KirbyKr3w Lol, yeah. It was Mipha's Grace ability.
And to add- I'm carrying 5 in my inventory right now, and last I checked, 5 is a bigger number than 3.

I have 7 right now.
mcfry13 I have 11 fairies
this really isn't the best video
when do fairies respawn tho
Litterally all of these are in the game hints in the loading screen.
So 2 years later I watch this well described "hidden"-mechanic video...
and all I have to say..:
-There IS a friggin difference between roasting and cooking so you DO need the cook pot.

Katariko village? And YOU CAN HOLD MORE THAN 3 FAIRIES
I think they just stop spawning at the fountains after three
Also, running at them is the worst way to try and catch em lol.
Could possibly be more, haven’t tested it.

every last one of these can be found on the loading screens.
for players that have only just acquired the master cycle, however, one interesting mechanic is that any attack you land while in motion on the master cycle will become a critical hit. spears work the best for this as they attack the fastest and most if not all mobs in this game flinch if they take a critical hit if they don't get launched backwards outright. probably the funniest mob to do this to would be the mobile guardian stalkers, as they actually get knocked back by a spear crit. landing a long string of them will literally let you send the guardian tumbling across hyrule field at the same speed as the master cycle.
You can throw a sparking weapon at an enemy for a lightning kill. Have only timed it correctly once though
I've also read reports of Guardians getting struck by lightning and then going a little berserk afterwards firing lazers every which way
This is a guide for stupid gamers (CoD and FIFA players)
+Consti2tionTPG If a Guardian takes enough damage, they will do this. I could see a lightning strike causing it. You can get them to fire randomly when beating on them with the Master Sword as well. Usually it is on the old stationary ones.
Dustin Hamm once you get the lightning proof [spoiler] you can also just walk into enemy camps during thunderstorms and watch them get obliterated, its one of my favorite things to do, (watch out tho bc it doesnt protect your horse, but it doesnt instakill them either)
Best way to fish is... throw a bomb in the water and make it explode, all the fishes will die, and you just have to grab them ;)
I find it funny because even the name suggests that you have a bond to nature in it. Like hunting down wild animals with your bow, chomping trees, or catching fish with your bare hands. But all I do is throw bombs at everything.
Explosions are perfectly natural, they happen in nature all the time!
I wonder how many other people have thought of that.
Jorge Masso i use shock arrows (i have too many), shoot yellow chu jelly i put in water or use bombs

@@isasa29 Weapons, yes. Armor, such as the Soldier's Chestplate, appears metallic but has no effect on lightning.
I was wearing a low-level cold- weather gear and came across a place where it wasn't enough protection. naturally I wanted to make a fire, and all I had on me was the fire rod and noticed that if I'm carrying it on my back, it would keep me warm enough. that's pretty neat.
The same effect works for ice weapons in hot weather.
Ben I'm glad to hear that it helped you out. This game amazes me with what can be done to survive.
Xeronoia I truly appreciate the tip. thank you
i discovered this myself. i wouldve used this a long time ago in the gerudo desert at night ffs me
Will not work for Death mountain though. #FlameResistance
Fairies have been a feature since....well forever
Thirsty Aleks
this is a lot of people's first Zelda
Cole Longó even if this is many peoples first Zelda, isn't the fairy revive thing kind of a extremely known feature for Zelda? I don't honestly know so don't call me stupid if i'm wrong. But i feel like even people who don't play Zelda knows about the fairy thing.
He deleted it lol
But yes the fairy revive has been in almost every LoZ game
from a link to the past (3rd game) to now fairies have been a thing, people that haven't played a zelda knows this
well, i didn't know that before playing botw....
is it because i am stupid?
Number 12: you can save the game...........
Number 13: you can pick up weapons, but dont dont cook them because you need to use them on monsters
Number 14 Wood can catch on fire
Number 16: if your health bar shows 0 hearts you die.
Number 20 boats in this game float
Number 17: monsters can hurt you
Every one of these except feeding dogs is explicitly told to you by the game within the first two hours.
2 hours? It took me 2 days to get off the Plateau. Perhaps it's YOU who rush through the game...
you clearly didn't play the game
OrionSoul he clearly wanted views.
OrionSoul made the day of release
"Don't sell or cook with them [korok seeds]" smh you can't even do that
yea he just went on a wikipedia and found some stuff
You can find those blue rabbits and the lord of the mountain when one of the mountains is very brightly glowing green
(*Talks about fairies- shows a clip of health being restored by Mipha's Grace instead.*)
7.8/10 cant pet dog practically unplayable
icant thinkofanything Lol so true
lol funny thing is you can pet the dog
ha well i thought it was odd considering how much is in this game a single button prompt for "pet dog" being entirely overlooked would've just been weird
WizPigTactics how? I know you can crouch near it and it will also be happy
Can the doge bork?!
You can also just throw a bomb in the water. Hehe fishing with grenades!
Marnie Brumder XD oh look a fishy... KILL IT
NO SHIT
Yes much lest wasteful than waistline food to get other food, bombs are free!
I actually never thought of that! Thanks 🙂
You Reminded me of an episode of last man standing when you said fishing with grenades
The detail in this game is insane. I really want a switch but sadly couldnt get one. I'm gonna have to wait till they have more in stock. Anyone know when they'll have more in stock?
april they are planning for an april 10th restock but dont quote me on this as they havent fully decided when but its definitely in april.
CardriderDraw - Level2 damn that gives me time to get some more money so I can buy some the accessories. Thanks for the info though!
Well I guess people in my country don't care about Nintendo because there are a lot of Switches and Breath of the Wilds in stock... (I live in Hungary)
Paahtomaisteri I live in US it's all sold out. I gotta wait now.
I got accidentally got shorted on my pay, so I had to settle on the Wii-U version
Dude, u can find blupees on satori mountain, i hope u know that everyone knows about this stuff right
You can also bond with your horse by giving it an apple. (hold the apple then stand in front of the horse-the horse will take it from you and bond every time.)
Maureen Seel or grab 5 of them and drop them in front of the horse for a quick bonding experience.
You can also lure wild horses with apples as well. Works really well. Found out that horses eat apples from a Korok minigame where you had to drop apples in statues but my stupid horse kept eating them all
Really?! Great tip! Thanks
Maureen Seel yeah, you can max out affinity in less that 5 minutes just dropping apples.
Lol now for tips/tricks to defeat the guardians...I've tried the shield deflecting...not too good at that
1:54 when you are electrocuted and die the game over is in yellow, not red.
Wtf why is it red, only now noticed this
Jaden LaVigne it’s because lightning does physical damage then electric
Makes seance
Hattie L. I don't even know why or how it was red
If you die from the cold or ice arrows the game over text is blue
a game trick:
yes the dogs near the stables follow you if you feed them one piece of meat, however, if you feed them 3 or 4 pieces, you have to wait and let them guide you to a hidden treasure chest nearby and use magnesis to pull it out
there is no village called katariko village
I think he meant Kakariko Village
“The game never tells you about.”
“Yes it does.”
“Don’t cook your korok seeds!”
“Wat”
uhh.. you can easily catch fairys by crouching. same with all bugs and critters
Not only that, if you get the sheikah set, you can just run up and grab them without needing to sneak
heyyy fairies arent bugs
except navi
Faries*
The Link Amiibo from super smash bros will give you Epona
Also the wolf link will give you the wolf companion
i found this out today i was squeeing with excitement. epona will be my main and my first tame Zarc will be my backup.
It can also give you the green tunic.
For some reason everytime I scan that Link Smash Amiibo I only get chests 😭😭
Spottiegirl33 luckily if you have time to kill, you can just keep reloading the last save before you scanned the amiibo to get around the 24hr cool down if you get a chest instead of Epona.
Actually a goron in goron city literally tells you you can cook on the ground of death mountain
Everyone knows this
4:34 There's a side quest where you tie an octo balloon onto on item at a stable, and you get a star fragment in return.
Suzannne Ember I did that
therefore it TELLING YOU THEORY FRIGGING MECHANIC
not theory, autocorrect, the
Here’s another one: if you fall, you take damage.
Unless you have feather falling
@@jas9102, that’s minecraft
Noob: Really? I didn’t know that!
Pro: No sh!t
Pro should be changed to Anyone that actually played the game for more than an hour
i didnt fucking played the game and i knew most of this wtf
I don't think this person has ever played another Zelda game besides botw. I think everybody who has EVER played another Zelda game knows that fairys revive you. He stated it like it was a completely new thing 😂. And also "Katariko village" 👌.
Jesus Puello even noobs know this stuff
Noob: No shlt
Pro: No shlt
My friend got this last night and I was watching him play it...I'm honestly speechless about the detail.
“River-based Rock throwing” Octoroks can also be found on land, camouflaging themselves as plants...
and they can disguise themselves as treasure chests or in the snow... this RUclipsr is really incompetent
"you need to sprint, etc." to catch fairies?
Or you can just crouch and sneak up.
what about the Link Amiibo dropping the hyrulian shield?? Also lighting doesn't hit armor, only bows swords and shields. Also cooking something with fire isn't really cooking since you don't get the bonus effect since you are only roasting it. Finally the best way to catch faeries is sneaking up, you can get them all instead of just one if you run at them.
II Malorne II don't worry about the amiibo the hyrulian shield can be found in hyrule castle
I know you can get the shield from the back side of hyrule castle and buy it from the hidden shop in tarrey town if you haven't found it yet.
I know this is an old comment but its Hylian. Not Hyrulian. I can understand why you'd call it that though.
Lightning killed me when I was using hylian armor.
idk if you noticed but wearing metal armor during a storm does kill you
a lot of these are mentioned in loading screen tips or just aren’t accurate. and the lightening storms was obvious. first time i played, as soon as i saw the first spark on my shield, i got the idea right away. it’s actually a pretty straight forward mechanic...
This is in the game
This is what MGS5 could've become, IMO. #FUCKONAMI
I thought it was supposed to have 3 chapters
Fuck onami?
there's a baked apple at the literal start of the game cooked food without a cooking pot is not a secret
The game literally says the rain thing
Mystical Shadowcat it says everything on this video in the loading screen and tips at the beginning of the game
I CAN'T PET THE DOG EVEN IF HE FOLLOWS ME? WHY NINTENDO WHY
An NPC literally tells you it's hard to climb when it's raining ....
At least one person will be a vegan link
HollyWoo Tex funnily enough of you go inside the great deku tree there's a korok having a nightmare about a vegetarian eating its face. 😂
I tried to be but its just a game 😂.
Maybe I might make him Vegan again in the near future.
no reason to meat dishes gives better buffs in the game
I live off apples but I kill everything except for horses and foxes
Perpetual KillMachine The first time I killed a fox, I sat there and reflected on my life for a while... The little guy didn't deserve it.
Many of these the game flat out tells you. Most of them are displayed in the loading screen tips, while stuff like cooking meat in hot environments is flat out stated by a npc goron who sells cooked meat.
Holy crap, I'm 55 and I'll be playing this game until I die.
This is everything you learn in the first hour of the game!
"11 thing that are literally explained in the Tip loading menu"
