  • This is from my "In Space" album, which came from an idea back in 2018. I had just made Alpha Polaris, a song I just intended for background music for The 8-Bit Guy and his videos. After releasing it, it became popular with a lot of fans, so I soon made another one, Alpha Centauri B. This song was used by The Brick Channel and then got a lot of plays from his videos.
    I got the idea of making an album with only slow, spaced out songs and put them on vinyl and cassettes. Some four years later, I finally got my crap together and finalised enough songs to actually fill this album, so here you are. 11 songs in more or less the same vibe, however some turned out to be a little more upbeat than the first ones, but hopefully this is a good thing. Vinyl and MC is coming later this year.

    The hard hitting 16th note bass sequence paired with those big drums against those reverberant and spacious synth parts that play around it is truly a beautiful combination here. Well-crafted song, this one. Really nice!!

    I was showing my children a video that you and David Murray collaborated on some time ago. David reviewed the instrument, then you compiled and recorded a song using it. My children were blown away that you could make a song like that on the spot just for the video.
    Thanks for continuing to make music. Maybe you could convince David to collaborate with you to resurrect his 8-bit-keys channel.

    You're making an old fat man want to get on the bicycle. Love the visuals you used with this track, and its consistent energy. I'll hug the gates of Perdition trying to play bass along with this one, that's for sure. (It will require a steady foot as well as fast fingers...)

    • @AndersEngerJensen
      @AndersEngerJensen  Год назад +1

      Haha, yeah all the cheesy stock footage does lend to the Babylon 5 vibe. Still a great show, so many memories of Sundays in 1995.
      There is a slight story to the order of songs on this album, but it’s rather thin so I don’t see Hollywood knocking on my door anytime soon. ;)

    • @AndersEngerJensen
      @AndersEngerJensen  Год назад +1

      I have a subscription to Videoblocks.com so I just download from there. Can’t afford to buy single premium clips as $80 a piece so that site is the best and cheapest I could find. Granted a lot of the clips are cheesy It’s better than just a static image or me playing on the same keyboards over and over again.
      This is just space themed because I set out to make an album with space as the topic. I like sci-fi etc, but I know only what we were taught in school and what Vsauce and other channels teach us. 😄.
