I was at my kid’s band concert during the extra time of the Porto match. I had one AirPod in to be discrete but ended up walking out when it came time for penalties. He had already performed and I didn’t want to be the dad that yells in the middle of the show

Any Gooner that's bleeds Arsenal will have the courage of their convictions, end of. No need to even apologise. I threw a BBQ after my father's funeral and had Arsenal on the TV and my dad's ashes sitting on the table. After a few drinks the family stopped hating me but mostly because I threatened to throw them out my home if they didn't respect my dad's wishes to me personally that I do what I wanted that day because he knew that whatever I did would be what his son needed to do to just get through it. His side of the family thought I was a North London legend and my mums side of the family didn't really get it but respected me enough to enjoy the burgers and champagne ❤😂

I booked flights from LA and had tickets. Then we beat Liverpool and they switched the game to the Sunday when I’m boarding my plane back. Going to catch Watford v Leeds and Brentford v Utd live to give me some footy fix whilst I’m here.

I actually have to watch evening games the next day as I've got long covid and need to watch the games in increments of 25 minutes with 30 minutes of rest in between. It means turning off my phone and making sure I don't read anything football related anywhere. So far, I've managed to do almost all evening games completely spoiler free, although when i went to watch the Porto game back I saw that there was a section called 'Extra time', which was sort of a big spoiler that I did not need lol.

I have so many questions...
Main one - what happens if you watch more than 25mins of football? Is it just instant death or do you simply knock out from exhaustion of watching a TV whilst laying down?
Follow up - so you watched the Porto game in 6 different parts with 30mins in between each, then topped it off by penalties at the end? Sounds very intense...

I can't process the stimulation of watching it. Basically I've not been able to watch TV for 2 years now but I just couldn't do without Arsenal so I'm watching it in small increments with rest in between. And yea I watched the Porto game in 6 parts! 2 parts first half, 2 parts second half, then the extra time I just about managed in one go. Then I had to pause it again for another 30 minutes to recover (although 'resting' was not really an option anymore at this point, nerves were through the roof).

4:30 am KO here. Ugh! What I like to do is record it and not switch my phone on till after watching the match. But if I wake up during the night, my temptation to check the score or just switch it on is great. It'll literally, give me nightmares.
