Man, this video came at just the right time! I tried going last year but it was closed but plan on going this week. Can't wait to check out a park that's right in my backyard.

It’s crazy to think San Antonio city limits are a few miles away. The park is nice and quiet. The back country side of the park has some nice well maintained trails. We tried to go last year, but it always rained on the days we booked 🤦‍♂️

I have been there several times since its only 20 minutes away. Pros: quiet, miles and miles of trails. I also like the ferns on Joe johnston trail. Cons: not as scenic as other parks like Eisenhower or fried friedrick. The trails are very very rocky

It’s a nice park, can’t believe San Antonio city limits are a few miles away. Plan on visiting Hill Country next. The trails are rocky, but thank goodness some areas are flat. If you been to Lost Maples those rocks are no joke. We plan on visiting Eisenhower soon, I hear great things about that park.

I believe they have an adaptive wheelchair available. It’s an all terrain chair.
