Am agree with stiffness factor at fixed end but you know what One of our faculty has taught us that the stiffness at fix support is 4EI/L so shoul we go for that manner or not? Also the answer of distribution factore are not coming same solving by 2 method or formulas so pls can you tell me which one is correct or preferable so as the mistake from side will be reduced while solving numericals
4EI/L it the stiffness while I/L is the relative stiffness gotten by dividing the stiffness by 4E. You get the same distribution factor using both because 4E Will eventually cancel out
@@Civillearningonline Sorry but i don't understand your answer. Let me ask again. usually we used same I as 1 to all the beam spans. But in your calculation you used 2 for span BC Instead of 1. Will you please explain to us why 2 was used instead of 1.
We all know that 'I' stands for moment of inertia and that totally depends on length and breadth of the section like for rectangular bd²/ 12...right?? So here in the case the dimensions are changing for every section so the I value also changing...and you don't need to calculate that its given in the question itself

stiffness in the fixed joint is always infinite , therefore K factor should be ZERO only, respectively the moment distribution factor becomes ZERO also

The negative sign assigned to the positive summation in moment distribution analysis is a convention used to accurately represent the redistribution of moments and ensure compatibility and equilibrium in the structural analysis process.
And sometime if on adding the moment to get final moment the value may very by 0.1 or 0.2 basically at intermediate support. And in that case one can fix it him self. Because the moment at intermediate support are same. And it happens due to round off. And it doesn't create any serious issue.

Can you explain why” 2I” was used for the span BC instead of “I “like the spans AB and CD.
It is given in the question .

Why if summation positive means take the value as negative and vice versa?
Good
The negative sign assigned to the positive summation in moment distribution analysis is a convention used to accurately represent the redistribution of moments and ensure compatibility and equilibrium in the structural analysis process.
why did you take 2I ?
Duration?
How about three moment
Soon
wl^2/÷8 hoga boss
instead of wl/8
Why are we stopping at 0.03 specifically
It's not specific actually. We stop when we start getting low value like 0.01, 0.02, 0.03 etc
@@Civillearningonline Oh, so we stop when the distribution is almost negligible (Basically below 0)
Yeah. Not you got it 😉
And sometime if on adding the moment to get final moment the value may very by 0.1 or 0.2 basically at intermediate support. And in that case one can fix it him self. Because the moment at intermediate support are same. And it happens due to round off. And it doesn't create any serious issue.
