Brill videos. I've watched a few and learned some things that I didn't know, cheers I have bmw x4 f26 . Is it possible to get the heating below 16 . 16 is too warm for me I'd prefer about 6 . If its possible can you do a video of how to do it. Cheers.

On the F10, it is a little more difficult accessing #5 and #6. On #5, there is a connector bracket that needs to be removed. On #6, remove the two outside bolts to the wiring harness bracket. Use the proper spark plug socket. Take your time. Great video. Thank you!
Not related to this video but I'm lost...my 2010 320 heater control panel has no power..was working fine next not lighting up or working. What fuse do I need to check as I couldn't make head nor tail of the diagram 🙈 it's an E91 ..
Bihex 14mm spark plug sockets from Hazet and Snap-On will work (factory SST is from Hazet), just have to be thin wall, most Taiwanese made sockets will work as well. The only socket I had issues with is probably Koken 14mm bihex.
Wobble head or standard extensions, take your pick.
I do prefer extensions that are a bit worn (easier to remove).
Most of the boys here use Toptul sockets, cheap and good here.

Do you use the torque wrench to set the torque while setting the sparks?
I have every torque wrench in my garage even digital, but I never have to use them not for things like this. I mean you will see me using torque wrenches for things like engine internals. But for things like a oil filter cap , spark plugs , rocket cover bolts if you are a proffesional you should know by feel after many many years of doing this. If you see people using a torque wrench on things like this then I would immediately advise you to not take there advise as they are unsure of thereself and there work. Anybody like me who is confident and been doing this for many years will NOT be using a torque wrench unless it’s engine internals. That’s what makes me a proffesional and not the average DIYER I been doing this for far too long that I need to retire 😂

Hey, love the videos. So I bought a bmw 2014 328d a week ago, my Idrive is stuck on the bmw logo I can’t use anything, not even my sound system. Any suggestions on what may be wrong. And if I can fix it by my self or would I have to get a mechanic to fix it?
And forgot to mention the previous owner used one of thoses big car speakers as there sound system idk if that plays a part as to why my idrive doesnt work

OEM. You're going to risk having issues on a complicated vehicle that used to cost 100K and had yearly maintenance contracts that costed thousands of dollars based on RUclips advice?
Stock plugs are fine for a stage 1 map by the way

Just a normal socket I can’t remember the size off my head but I’m pretty sure it’s a 16MM for N52 just a deep socket but you can use these if you wished 😅
@@BMWDoctor thx Dean. I’ve seen mixed comments on thin walled 12point socket for N52. Haven’t yet tried on my car yet.

Nope they are Pre Gapped As I bought them direct for my car and engine. I didn't just buy any spark plugs for all car's. They only need gapping if you buy just normal plugs for no make or model as they don't come gapped
