  • Today I am reviewing the KRYDRUFI Portable All-in-One Modular Painting Station. This was a gift from my friend Rosi (who happens to make the best sketchbooks: www.etsy.com/listing/11221364... ) and she thought it would be useful. Since I love to paint in a variety of mediums and I love to paint outdoors it was a good fit for me. You can see the 2 colors available on Amazon: amzn.to/3Im2ep9
    *They updated the paint holder to remove the taps according to a contact at Kydrufi
    **save 10% with coupon code: 10KRYDRUFI
    Pros:
    Well made of sturdy plastic
    Has brush grips to suspend brushes in water and hang brushes to dry
    2 water buckets
    2 stay wet palettes
    The palette paper stays flat!
    Included 2 pant storage boxes good for oils, acrylics or gouache
    Will keep paint fresh for 2-3 months
    Compatible with water or solvents (I have only used water)
    Has removable inserts to clean brushes on
    Has a place to clip paper towels (I think that is what it is for LOL!)
    Cons:
    I really don't see any, I think the price is reasonable too.
    Bottom line:
    If you are looking for a compact gouache, acrylic or oils travel system, give it a try! I still the the Portable Painter is best for watercolors

Good review. Even though I don't usually buy things that are reviewed it is nice to have an idea of what the products look like and what they will do. I am just not in the market for a product like this, yet I bet more than a few subscribers and followers are! Maybe soon to be too? I am truly happy with the Paint Pucks! I even “Splurged” on a paint puck cup! I love the silicone grabbies for my brushes! Wayyyyy back before you could buy stay-wet palettes my Mom helped me make one out of an old Tupperware container with a sponge and parchment paper! I saved so much money on paints I even made one for a friend and she still raves about it when we get together and do some reminiscing. I am sure that you have helped more than one viewer with this video review, thank you.

    Such a well designed product. Whenever I see someone opening their Portable Painter, I watch to see if that clip gets lost. I😢 wonder why there isn't a magnet to attach the clip to one of the cups.

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  Месяц назад +1

    I have little plastic jars ( like face creams or body butter comes in) that don't leak out any water you could place like jars for water that fit in the water wells (for watercolor) so if there is no where to dump the water when you are ready to leave like a cafe or hospital waiting room, you you can just walk out and not worry about spillage to and from your location.

  • @lesleyegbert4807
    @lesleyegbert4807 Месяц назад +3

    I could be wrong, but it looks to me like the clips in the paint trays could maybe allow you to snap in traditional full pans or something. I'm only guessing by the size of the spaces, so you could be right about the clips having another purpose. 😊

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  Месяц назад +1

    Wondering if the clips that you have holding the paper towels would be for holding watercolor paper or canvas panels for when you are painting? Would half pans & full pans of watercolor paint clip/fit in to the tab areas of the palette areas maybe 🤔? I would definitely enjoy getting this for Plein Air painting or Urban Sketching. Jerry’s is now carrying 300 lb along with the hot and cold pressed 140 lb and the prices are crazy good for 100% cotton, especially when it’s on sale.
