they also seem to be controlled by some sort of shady organization. Considering that they discuss the idea of ghost police we could theorize that this organization in power killed Dan in order to see how his essence would react. They also probably have the ability to bring him back.

I don't get how Force Ghosts are "More powerful than you can possibly imagine." What does Ben Kenobi get out of his sacrifice? The power to eavesdrop from anywhere in the galaxy and he never has to shave, shower or change his clothes again? Woop-de-do.
You can appear at any age you want (as shown in RotJ and FA) and talk fine with existing jedi. given how the technique works, I see no reason you may not be able to use your force powers after learning to harness the living force while part of it like the force priestesses.
Entrancement I think it was more that he knew he couldn't beat Vader whilst alive, but as a ghost he could train the true chosen one to ultimately defeat the sith, etc etc
Well, Vader imagined he would no longer exist and could do nothing. Now, he can talk to people and watch stuff I guess. It's more a jab at the guy about to kill him lacking imagination.
Have to go with Soren's original suggestion; Force Spirit. Even if it is only avialable to Jedi who learn the special technique, it is still probably best version.
How do we know? We really only ever see them advising living Jedi for a few minutes at a time. They don't really do anything and we don't know what they do the rest of the time. I think some Sith ghosts can possess living Jedi, but that's about it.
It probably seems like that for the same reason Eric’s Kingdom was the best in the ‘Best Disney Kingdom’ video. We know the least about it. All we know is you have to be a Jedi, you’re blue, and four people have ever done it. Plus all they ever do is sit around and tell riddles to people. Least the venue isn't boring, well least 9 months of the year it isn't. And at least you are not alone, there were a ton of ghosts in Hogwarts. Though ultimately it's more about where you'd be haunting that would make being a ghost that is bond to a specific location worth it, so unless you died in a high end strip club or movie theater, then yeah, it would suck.
how is that eternal damnation......? The Harry Potter ghosts are no different than other ghosts.....they're bound to the place where they died or had a strong connection to. Being a ghost isn't "eternal damnation", it's the equivalent of being in purgatory for all time, you're caught between living and dead either for all eternity or until you move on
I can kind of see that one? But since this is After Hours and it’s largely a debate forum, there is a pretty big problem with that one. When you’re a Ghost, none of your injuries heal. Nearly Headless Nick lives forever messing with children, but I imagine it would get uncomfortable with your head almost falling off. Imagine being at a Quiddich game, and the motion of cheering puts too much pressure on your wounds and your head falls off.
Crysta Blade In Harry Potter you can't move on from being a ghost. Once you die, you can choose to move on or be a ghost, and once you are a ghost you are stuck that way permanently.
I don't know if it's that bad to be a Harry Potter ghost. I recall in the books they do Deathday parties. Like birthday parties, except for the day you died. Also, the Headless Hunt came to Nick's Deathday party, so there is definitely flexibility in where ghosts can go

After they said Daniel was dead I went back and watched this episode again and they never acknowledged him or looked at him, man they got their continuity together!
The manga does show ghosts lose their memories, particularly if they died suddenly or traumatically. Yoh had to help a painter finish his mural (I think) and before that he was just a rampaging poltergeist with no will or mind of his own.

"moor like othello" that made me laugh so hard 😂😂
i'm glad i keep coming back to this series almost annually
Who else, but me, think that Dan was killed by a guy ruclips.net/video/dudN6GqhaYw/видео.html
who traveled with them in "The 6 Most Unintentionally Creepy Sitcom Characters".
And now he skins Dan and makes him into a suit.
And Daniel was never seen or heard from again.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english
Nice little twist at the end. Kept it up quite well throughout.
I wonder how they're gonna do the OG crew with Soren no longer part of Cracked. This is absolutely my favorite show.
Hammad Razzak he left?!?!
He works on American Dad now.
Me too. I was surprised that this was actually an OG crew After Hours and even more surprised that Soren was in it
Can't do both?
Hannah F they still make American Dad? That's kinda mind blowing
When he started talking about RIPD the first thing that came to mind was the Tooth Fairy. Love that movie
I miss After Hours so much
Ha! Had to go back and watch again! Great job on the Shyamalamanning! :D
... i miss after hours...
(tear)
Yay! You guys are back
"I'm not planning on Dying" What is this final destination
This made my day thank you original crew
Beetlejuice
Sadly, there's worse things while being dead in that world like beware the Sandworms and their version of Purgatory or is it Limbo when being exorcised?
Omakatyo
That’d be the worst! I won’t be able to leave my house. Sit around in waiting rooms & be subject to bureaucratic rules. Just like...real life 😳
Thank you, i cant believe they didn't bring this one up.
though for beetlejuice it would depend on how you die
Plus looking like how you did when you died. Waiting rooms, bureaucracy, and having looking like a road pizza or having a shrunken head. You would be lucky to have a heart attack or even lethal injection...
Fuck those sandworms.
I’m sticking to The Frightners.
I mean you could get a job as a ghost and possibly live forever as long as you stay away from Lee Ermey.
After they said Daniel was dead I went back and watched this episode again and they never acknowledged him or looked at him, man they got their continuity together!
You think they regret not making Soren the ghost since he is leaving?
yes, but it would be unrealistic to ignore Soren. Dan is the easy target.
That got a little dark at the end Awesome "i wasn't gonna help that girl"...GOLD!
It took me a minute to realize no one was interacting with Dan. Holy crap.
absolutely love this cast and their chemistry!
I really missed Daniel in this video
"Is is Demi Moore, or Demi Mo-ore.." -Hysterical!!
I hate newly discovering awesome things, that are no longer being made... 😔
thank Goodness these guys are back
I'd want to be a Shaman King ghost
You get locked on to an object and have to put up with teenagers for the rest of your after life.
a lot of the Shaman weren't teenagers, Faust was an adult. as was most of X-law IIRC. and not all of the ghosts were tied to objects.
The manga does show ghosts lose their memories, particularly if they died suddenly or traumatically.
Yoh had to help a painter finish his mural (I think) and before that he was just a rampaging poltergeist with no will or mind of his own.
In theory if a shaman had enough mana they could make you physical again
liked this video before i saw it cause after hours is love and life
The a-team delivers as always!!
Frightners.
Gotta go with Ghost Workers Rights.
Now THAT'S an After Hours episode! No matter how bad my day is, seeing those four talk about ANYTHING lifts my spirit. Get it? "SPIRIT"!
I'll show myself out.
get ready for comments about comments about the new cast
Yours is the first I've seen.
"And then, unrelated, a guy just stabbed me. I was NOT going to help that little girl" 😹😹 lolll dead
Hey the funny 1s are back
That ending though. I had to watch it again, can't believe I didn't notice that no one interacted with him.
I know it's probably a throwaway gag that Dan is dead in this episode, but you guys aren't slowly phasing out the old cast, right?
flynntheman90 Well apparently Soren just left Cracked, and they've been slowly ending or stopping all of the old shows over the last couple of years, and other people are apparently leaving. Make of that what you will, Cracked has gone majorly downhill in the last 4-5 years or so anyway
farmerboy916 Yeah I'd probably agree, sad as it makes me. They still do good podcasts I think, but all the rest of their content seems either derivative or poorly-written
Oh how I miss this 😭
"Dead kids all DAY!"
It is 2022 and James Hong is indeed still alive.
Man I miss this show.
I’d love to see more of this series but that’s never going to happen.
