i like to head cannon that this is the last episode in the timeline because without Dan to consistently get his friends all together for pop culture conversations every night, they just kinda drift apart.

To be fair I think tv show is suppose to be good.
I liked RIPD. Didn't love it. But it was an okay movie. Killed a few hours one lazy sunday watching it.

Have to go with Soren's original suggestion; Force Spirit. Even if it is only avialable to Jedi who learn the special technique, it is still probably best version.
How do we know? We really only ever see them advising living Jedi for a few minutes at a time. They don't really do anything and we don't know what they do the rest of the time. I think some Sith ghosts can possess living Jedi, but that's about it.
It probably seems like that for the same reason Eric’s Kingdom was the best in the ‘Best Disney Kingdom’ video. We know the least about it.

So far Soren is at 29, Kate is at 28, Dan is at 28, and Michael is at 27 wins. R.I.P. Dan, I'd be one of the ghosts in ParaNorman, They all seam super happy, most of them are friends with each other, you can move on (you don't have to, but if you ever do you can just get to finishing your unfinished business), the only downside is that no one can see or hear you (but you still have your ghost pals or if you're powerful enough) and that you keep your the latest damage done to you before your death (but most of the ghosts in that seam to be fine with it).
I noticed around 6:40 what was going on and immediately shipped back to when he arrived and paid closer attention to see if i was right lol.

Alan Rickman played a ghost in a film once. It involved him sleeping with his still living wife and watching a lot of movies with his ghost buddies. There didn't seem to be any negative consequences at all aside from the fact that he was sort of freeloading on his wife.

-time seems to pass differently for them
-they never go home
-they can't remember their lives outside this diner.

I'm going with "The Frighteners". Ghosts can choose either the afterlife or to stick around. They can haunt people and even murder them (if you're into that). And if you are a jerk (like, cause all the murder you did), you can even avoid hell. No shadow ghosts to drag you there. Boom. Best of all worlds.
