Such a beautiful place, with so many nice little touches, I really love Marcus' aesthetic and attention to detail. The lampshades really caught my eye, I wish i could find ones like that here... The semi outdoor shower beside the banana plant and outdoor bath both look like such relaxing places to unwind at the end of the day. Great to stay for a few days, but imagine how chilled out you'd be if you lived somewhere like that 😊
Rob, you have an absolutely nailed it there. I am in love with the aesthetic that Markus has created the property. I love all the plants and the concrete and the timber. It’s really nice and calm but it has a slightly masculine feel to it which is nice. Yes, those lampshades are incredible. Markus is a bit of a surfer and I think has taken inspiration from the ocean. I think some of them are shaped like seashells. Definitely very unique. The shower in the greenhouse was my favourite feature. I really appreciate the way you present these types of properties. It's so nice to actually be shown the house and explain the thought put behind elements of it. Rather than some creators you watch, just pointing out the blatantly obvious which is repeated for every video "This is the kitchen. This bedroom has a bunk bed. There's a fridge and coffee stations in the kitchen" etc.. Your content makes me want to actually get out there and visit these places!!

This house is a gem! I work in construction and am passionate about natural buildings. You mentioned a warmth inside the house and I’m very curious about the composition of the walls. Hemp concrete and hemp glazes give that sort of feel to built spaces. It’d be fantastic if the owner of the property was willing to give a tour and get into the details of the built! Idea for a part two maybe? Loved the moment when you shared your thoughts about bathing in nature. I definitely relate. Cheers!

@@bennybnb nowhere near as nice as yours and my greenhouse is on the south side not under like yours and the angle is 45dec since i am way up north almost to the border of canada in the us. i hope to start a much bigger earth greenhouse separate from the cabin. my cabin itself is old. i found a paper in the walls from 1897!
Just perfect we are just north of you and working to be off grid and its works fine I think the design is amazing and you are very lucky enjoy it and growing things the soil out this way is very good for vegetables. My husband is retired engineer he even developed his own heating system for out green house lots can be done and you can live a good life here if you dont mind a bit of hard yakka.
I just love green houses. I find them quite exciting haha. That’s sounds like you have quite the set up where you are. It just seems soothing to your mind , body and soul a place to let go and simply to be. I‘d built myself something different surely but architecture is something you have to feel while living within a building. Functionality alone won’t work for me you have to feel what you inside a house and this house seems like alive, someone who cares deeply about what spikes a feeling within him…… when you make coffee or when you take a shower it’s the Sammlung things that matters about life and how they make you feel and the surroundings add to the feeling of peace. All in all that’s something I aim for myself in the future just partly different, I love autumn and how it makes me feel so Tasmania wouldn’t be for me but it’s absolutely beautiful 😊

It’s like with human you can feel if you talk to a mind or a soul and many souls are occupied out there , buildings like this are the ones you can build a connection with to put it in words , something that is just missing in modern architecture. Good question. Which part of the design do you think would be hard to meet code in the USA? I’ve seen plenty of earth ship style house sun the US. I’m fact that’s where I think they were initially conceptualised. Like Australia, each state would have its own set of codes and refs to meet. But let me know what you think may be hard? I’d love to know.
I don't get it. It is a passive solar home. Because of this describtion l thought you don't need wood or other sources to heat the house or warm water.
Our climate is such that even with a. Passive solar home, your still going to want to bring in additional heat of some kind. You can get about 75-80% off the way and really help retain a lot of heat, but tk be truly comfortable all season long, you will still want/need additional heat. In Tasmania anyway.

I get it. I am sick of this monetary world we were born into as well. Have to pay to live and homelessness is illegal. Have to have a permission slip to fish for food. All your monies still end up in the wallets of the elites while most people slave away at jobs they hate just because they have to accumulate debt in order to "live". I do still much prefer the sustainable way of living even though it's way over priced

I don't get it.
It is a passive solar home. Because of this describtion l thought you don't need wood or other sources to heat the house or warm water.
Our climate is such that even with a. Passive solar home, your still going to want to bring in additional heat of some kind. You can get about 75-80% off the way and really help retain a lot of heat, but tk be truly comfortable all season long, you will still want/need additional heat. In Tasmania anyway.

I doubt green power was used in the process of making the steel or glass used. Keep an eye on the banana tree, it’ll walk down hill.

I get it. I am sick of this monetary world we were born into as well. Have to pay to live and homelessness is illegal. Have to have a permission slip to fish for food. All your monies still end up in the wallets of the elites while most people slave away at jobs they hate just because they have to accumulate debt in order to "live". I do still much prefer the sustainable way of living even though it's way over priced
What more do you need to live a good life?
