Is there some official documentation for this stuff. It is kind of confusing. Where are you creating the image file? Where is your iso located? How do I install Manjaro-KDE and not XFCE? Is there a difference between UEFI and BIOS systems? I've been trying to create a persistent USB for manjaro for a while and every time I install updates, grub seems to break and I can't load back into the system.
losetup -d /dev/loop# error, not finding the img file! prior command said it was loop0... tried several time, finally deleted it all... finding another way somewhere... :(
Thank you! I have a question: is there a known issue that sometimes cause random freeze of the DE? Only thing to work is the mouse cursor. Only way tor era in control os to force a reboot or switch to tty and force a logout of the user to that display and attempt a new login. Any suggestions? DE: GNOME, Kernel 5.54 updated from 4.19 Edit: adding infos.
go to PACMAN (clicking the symbol of a shield you have in the right extreme of the toolbar OR searching "add or erase software" in the system search button ) and search alma...then click install.....
Cannot wait for the next video! PS: can you also burn this imagefile just created to a pendrive and so make it bootable? Would be nice to see how

kDE and XFCE is just the Desktop environment
UEFI is the one used everywhere. even when we say BIOS we mean UEFI. BIOS is that old. anything with a mouse support and UI is a UEFI for starters
@@brotherbear6434 I use Leagacy BIOS 😑

I would roll back to 4.19 and ask in Manjaro forum.
@@Masaliantiikeri unfortunately the problem was present also with that kernel version. Thank you for your answer btw
Try to disable gnome extensions. Some incompatibilities can make desktop freezes.
Why is the almatest.img set to 10GB?
Maybe a bit more volume next time? With everything maxed it is a whisper still.
I second this
would this manjaro be able to run AppImages like the normal manjaro ISO does?
yes it should. I would try at least
when I try to open the virtual machine, it shows "cannot set up guest memory 'pc.ram': Cannot allocate memory"

To install Alma via the Terminal/Command Line on Manjaro copy and paste the following:
sudo pacman -S alma
Then hit 'y' and 'enter' to confirm
