It's very tempting, but I'm really not a fan of offset joysticks on a handheld because of how it forces one hand to consistently support more weight when using the device which makes for a less comfortable experience.

I love the design. actually lookin like a premium handheld device unlike the steamdeck and ally which looks like theyre big bulky controllers with screen slapped into them.

I would've bought one if the right analog stick switched positions with the face buttons. The trackpads being located all the way on the bottom is one thing, but having to move my thumb all the way from the bottom of the device, over an entire thumbstick, and nearly to the top of the device if I want to use the right touchpad for camera controls is just too much of an ask. Please don't give up on dual touchpads. Just locate them better.

What I'd LOVE to see is if the trackpads can be mapped to additional functions like radial menus and such like what you can do on the Steam Deck or with a Steam Controller. But this looks good can't wait to try it out!

davis raise good point whats battery life like with general indie games :) should be better than steam deck based on chipset i dont use gyro but i appreciate all the work going into these input features

My biggest concern is the battery life. We dont need another device like the "Old" Asus Ally where you can only play 1-1,5h... On low TDP i need at least 3-4h battery time.

I love Manjaro, but the fact that you need to reinstall every few months is annoying. You don't need to install packages to break it, just a regular update can destroy your system. Right now my distro is freezing frequently without obvious reason😢

glad to see that it's a little smaller than the Rog Ally. i really hope the price for the 7840 still remain at $500USD I have saved that amount just to buy in the release

They all failed miserably in battery life, i wish they just make the damn console handheld and use on the market removable batteries standard camera batteries on each side as a larger grip combo.
