For me, it’s because Jotaro was a HUGE factor for a LOT of parts. And the fact that many of the themes have some sort of Jotaro leitmotif, however, Jotaro is also one of those that started a lot of the investigations on stands, so like Jonathan he had a large influence on JoJo in general.
Everything about him is iconic, his drip, his quotes, even the way he walks or how he wears a jacket but puts his hands in the pants pockets anyway, he just has an immediate impression on anyone who hears or sees literally any aspect of his character
Different heroes and villains in each part, but Jotaro and Dio are definitely the 2 faces of the story. It all comes back to those 2 in the overall story.
Ya because Jotaro and Dio are the same I mean that those two are the most important and popular characters in the anime, their fights their memes, everything about them is soooooo great
The answer is obvious really. It’s the goddamn hat. I’m not even joking (much), when the hat itself can be used as a Jojo reference and people will understand it, you know it’s a big part of his design. The way he wears it, the way it often covers one of his eyes, it all adds a ton to his cool factor while also being a fashion piece, which I feel kind of ties together the identity of Jojo characters looking both badass and showy or flamboyant. Just try to imagine scenes of Jotaro without his hat. Does it look less cool to you? I think it does. And Araki knew the hat was cool. Any time he loses the hat he seems quite eager to get it back quickly. At the end of the Geb fight I think he actually remarked on how the stand knocked his hat off, which is kind of a big deal since it seems like it’s basically glued onto his head. Jotaro’s hat ain’t no joke.

This is why he is the protagonist in the game JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. I hope this alternate universe is made into an actual anime season part 9 or even a anime JoJo movie. I think of Joseph when I think of jojo. Mostly because he's brave, he's smart, he's witty, he runs away, his victories have luck as a contributing factor as well, he doesn't panic and always keeps a cool head. His characteristics are what I think of for a protagonist when I think of someone in a "bizarre adventure".
I read Stone Ocean while I knew how the part ended. I knew about the heaven plan and how it gets executed. Yet I still got so hyped when Araki brought Jotaro back into the story. I had this thought that maybe, Jotaro could save the day. Jotaro, Kujo frickin' Jotaro was coming back. It seemed that Jolyne and the gang would have a chance against Pucci if they bought enough time. However, things didn't go that way, and I think it was a great choice. I personally didn't like Jotaro beating up Kira at the end of part 4. The scene was awesome, but I felt that it would've been better if Josuke and the residents of Morioh were the ones to give the final blow to Kira. In part 6, Jotaro chooses not to beat Pucci. Instead, he chooses to save Joylne, his daughter. (and this eventually leads to Emporio's victory over Pucci) This is Jotaro's arc. He started as an inexperienced, rough character who didn't know how to express his feelings to the ones he loves. In part 4 he matures into a calm, collected mentor and learns how to express his care and concern for Koichi and Josuke. Finally, in part 6, he tries to be a father for Jolyne, a father she never had during her youth. He sacrifices his life and the world for her because life without her would be meaningless.

The protagonist of part 4 is even his bastard son and you get to see Josuke's complicated feelings on the matter and Joseph trying to impress his son and do at least one thing right by him. I feel Jotaro is one of my favorite characters in the original universe of Jojo. I just think he’s more than meets the eye and his character can be kind of tragic sometimes.
I like to think that Parts 1 and 2 had similar stories yet were unique in their own aspects.. But then Part 3 changed almost everything about Jojo yet still feels relevant to 1 and 2, it focused on multiple characters, Stand abilities, and an iconic villain. To me Part 3 established The Jojo's Bizarre Adventure mixed in with Jotaro's personality as whole. It's the most iconic Part of the entire series with the most iconic characters and villains with an amazing end battle that captures everything in which pays homage to passing the torch in the Joestar bloodline carried all the way through Stone Ocean.
With. Joseph, he represented the crazy awesome aspect of Jojo well. But to be honest, Jotaro represents not only the self-aware craziness, but also the tendency to take it completely serious in spite of how unusual or mundane the situation is- which the true embodiment of JJBA.
i thought jotaro was THE JOJO like i thought giorno was like his friend and he had a cool song and stuff and like joseph was like his buddy and th rest i didn’t hear of
I like Jotaro a lot,his badass aura, all his designs, the star platinum, his battle cry, even in the worst situations he still pushing forward and move the heaven and earth to protect his family no matter what. among the others jojo's Jotaro is just built different to me
I didn't like Jotaro in part 3 but as the series went on I liked him more. The way I see it Jotaro simply matured from being a reserved badass I'm part 3(I like to think he was serious because his mom's life was at stake) to being a more open badass in part 4 then eventually being a father in part 6. Tho if I'm picking favorites I'm a Joseph fan all the way.
Fun Fact: Stone Free is the first stand shown in the show because of the manga panels in the beginning of sono chi no sadame Also Jotaro is the only JOJO to be hinted at the end of a part(Part 2)which signifies how important he is
Josuke is my overall favorite. But Jotaro is my respected 2nd/3rd depending on my mood. He is like your old reliable. He’s always there, and I’m always happy to have him included even if he isn’t my favorite.
I think a big influence is the fact that Jotaro vs Dio is probably the most iconic fight in the series, partly because of the various memes involving it such as "oh? you're approaching me?" and "ROAD ROLLER DA". I feel like both of those factors would give him a reputation and be known even to people who aren't familiar with the series
oh wait i forgot how araki said if stardust crusaders went back to part 2 u would see hermit purple so joseph is the first stand user thats a jojo but the first stand user introduced is jotaro
I didn't care for Jotaro the first time I watched Stardust Crusaders. He kinda just seemed like he didn't talk much and if the gang ever got into trouble, Jotaro would save the day by punching the bad guy harder and faster than anyone thought he could. Jotaro became a full character for me in Part 4. He gets to do more than just punch bad guys, he's noticeably more mature, and we get to see more of his personality come out through his interactions with the residents of Morioh.
I can't speak for anyone else (maybe because he's japanese native and the core audience and author were playing favorites) but for me it's mainly because of the 90s ova and the manga. I saw the 90s anime first and in just a few frames of movement I just felt that this character had such a presence about him, not to mention he's the main guy in the part that would go on to identity the rest of the series.
When I think of Jojo I think of Joseph mainly cause he is the longest living one and my personal favorite but Jotaro is no doubt amazing as well. If I had the rank the jojos with animated parts, I'd go 1. Joseph 2. Jotaro 3. Josuke 4. Jonathan 5. Giorno
Part 6 jotaro is probably my favorite jotaro cause he truly does care about Jolyne and if dio's minions weren't coming for him he could've had a life with his wife and jolyne.Part 4 jotaro is also rlly good but i like part 6 jotaro a bit more
His design and the fact that he’s the first stand user Jojo are reason enough to be as iconic as he is, and it’s really cool that Araki really cares about his character arc and refuses to let Jotaro be flanderized.
Jotaro is a character that i enjoyed so much when i rewachted, Araki wrote a character that doesn't show much emotion but Is not emotionless, i love him so much!
Jonathan is the muscle, Joseph is the jokes, Jotaro is the calm and colected one, Josuke is the caring and protecting fella, Giorno is the one who is the drive to accomplish anything and Jolyne is the spiteful rage to be accepted and loved. For me they all are Jojos ❤️
Jotaro is both a stoic badass and a nerd. His imposing stature, cool clothes, and his cheesy clint Eastwood style one liners shows he’s just a huge joke in both the literal and figurative sense.
"I think that this works well with the scheme of part 3 due to seriousness of part 3-" "-due to seriousness of part 3-" "seriousness of part 3" *SERIOUSNESS*
He's the first one I think of since when I wasn't deep into this series yet and I played the demo of All Star Battle, I figured he was the main character of the series just due to him being playable in the demo and being the central figure in the intro. Plus, I just really really like his design and fighting style (was a bit disappointed that the anime and subsequent games changed the color palette to mostly grey though) so that helped. Joseph is probably my favorite Jojo from a personality and story stand point (no pun intended) but Jotaro's definitely the one I see most as the main character.

It's the most iconic Part of the entire series with the most iconic characters and villains with an amazing end battle that captures everything in which pays homage to passing the torch in the Joestar bloodline carried all the way through Stone Ocean.
I first thought Jojo was a show where different people fight and I thought that there was only one Jojo
With. Joseph, he represented the crazy awesome aspect of Jojo well. But to be honest, Jotaro represents not only the self-aware craziness, but also the tendency to take it completely serious in spite of how unusual or mundane the situation is- which the true embodiment of JJBA.
Jotaro is the Hero we need, but Not the hero we Wanted
i thought jotaro was THE JOJO like i thought giorno was like his friend and he had a cool song and stuff and like joseph was like his buddy and th rest i didn’t hear of
I thought giorno was the villain
@@lime1680 nah i didnt why would a villain have such a heroic cool theme like that
@@LUKEYDIE true
I just love jonathan because of him being the most polite, the closest one to dio, and the one who had started it all
I like Jotaro a lot,his badass aura, all his designs, the star platinum, his battle cry, even in the worst situations he still pushing forward and move the heaven and earth to protect his family no matter what.
among the others jojo's Jotaro is just built different to me
I didn't like Jotaro in part 3 but as the series went on I liked him more. The way I see it Jotaro simply matured from being a reserved badass I'm part 3(I like to think he was serious because his mom's life was at stake) to being a more open badass in part 4 then eventually being a father in part 6. Tho if I'm picking favorites I'm a Joseph fan all the way.
Part 6 jotaro is just the best
He’s ok
@@METAsMETAs He got the drip tho.
Why u guys dont think about jonathan , He Is A Real Hero ! , Gentleman , Fighting For Justice And Good , With ALL HE HAS! SSTTTAAANDD PROUUUD
Because my grandson is cool
idk why but when I think of jojo I just think of the title screen.
Good video by the way
all of the jojo's stand battlecry has some relationship with star platinum and jotaro for instance, Dora Muda ora, ora, ora.
I think of Joseph. Jotaro is pretty tame.Joseph had the most silly and bizarre personality of the mcs.
Fun Fact: Stone Free is the first stand shown in the show because of the manga panels in the beginning of sono chi no sadame
Also Jotaro is the only JOJO to be hinted at the end of a part(Part 2)which signifies how important he is
wasn't jolyne hinted at the end of part 5?
@@emerald4740 no that was a edited fan video
@@ps_prague really? I didn't know that was fan made 😅
At first it was Jotoro till I actually watched the anime and read the manga so I often think of Joseph as the main Jojo.
Jotaro has an iconic character design that appeals to most people.
Jotaro is brilliant, has iconic look, plus he is smart and has good detective skills and for that Part 3 will always be the most iconic.
Short answer, he has been in so many parts.
My personal favorite Jojo and protag in Jjba he’s the poster boy of Jojo for a reason
Josuke is my overall favorite. But Jotaro is my respected 2nd/3rd depending on my mood. He is like your old reliable.
He’s always there, and I’m always happy to have him included even if he isn’t my favorite.
Jotaro will always be my absolute favorite and this video perfectly explains why
Jotaro is the GOAT 🤛🏿
Everything about Jotaro just says "Strong silent type". Even his voice. Seriously, Daisuke Ono and Mathew Mercer make him sound awesome.
He's the only character who is the same ethnicity as me as well 🇯🇵/🏴/🇮🇹 character like that are rare
When I think of Jojo I think of Joseph mainly cause he is the longest living one and my personal favorite but Jotaro is no doubt amazing as well. If I had the rank the jojos with animated parts, I'd go
1. Joseph
2. Jotaro
3. Josuke
4. Jonathan
5. Giorno
😲😲😲
he has the best character design so that's why
All of Passione begs to differ
@@geschnitztekiste4111 agree with you 110% with you on that comment.
@@geschnitztekiste4111 lmao
Part 6 jotaro is probably my favorite jotaro cause he truly does care about Jolyne and if dio's minions weren't coming for him he could've had a life with his wife and jolyne.Part 4 jotaro is also rlly good but i like part 6 jotaro a bit more
I literally thought Jonathan would grow to be jotaro
His design and the fact that he’s the first stand user Jojo are reason enough to be as iconic as he is, and it’s really cool that Araki really cares about his character arc and refuses to let Jotaro be flanderized.
you should make a video of ur least favourite stands
Jonathan for sure. He started the amazing bloodline (that we know) after all
Agreed
Jotaro is just that guy of the anime bro got ice in his veins
Jotaro is a character that i enjoyed so much when i rewachted, Araki wrote a character that doesn't show much emotion but Is not emotionless, i love him so much!
I checked the upload date when I heard the ending lol
The strong silent type was very popular back then
Jonathan is the muscle, Joseph is the jokes, Jotaro is the calm and colected one, Josuke is the caring and protecting fella, Giorno is the one who is the drive to accomplish anything and Jolyne is the spiteful rage to be accepted and loved. For me they all are Jojos ❤️
I don’t know jotaro just looks like the main character of jojo like main main character
Mans kept saying “jodaro”
Jotaro is literally the only JoJo to appear in EVERY part in the original universe.
Jotaro is both a stoic badass and a nerd. His imposing stature, cool clothes, and his cheesy clint Eastwood style one liners shows he’s just a huge joke in both the literal and figurative sense.
"I think that this works well with the scheme of part 3 due to seriousness of part 3-"
"-due to seriousness of part 3-"
"seriousness of part 3"
*SERIOUSNESS*
🤔
Flashbacks to the Joseph and Avdol episode…
*"When in doubt, punch your way out. "*
The first stand user, an important character in 3 parts, iconic design... defeated the most iconic villain...
He technically is the only one to go on a bizarre adventure to Egypt
When I see JoJo, I think of Jotaro
