I've caught some of my biggest fish on the shaky head but the best days of numbers was on drop shot. I DEFINITELY have 2 rods with both set ups tied on. I CAN'T CHOOSE!!! lol
5:10 Where you said crimp the line, personally, I try to avoid that as much as possible. A better way is to pass the tag end through the eye of the hook, and then pass that same tag end back through the same side of the hook eye and you'll get the exact same loop, but unlike the crimp, you can adjust the size of the loop, and you're certain you didn't put any weak spots in your knot.
That was an awesome video. I really enjoyed how Ben took the time to break down where he throws each bait and the difference between cover and structure
Adding a baitkeeper to the nose of the worm (driven into the nose deep enough to hide it but leave the eye in the nose so you can run your hook through it) before hooking it up on your drop shots helps reducing loss of baits to fish, rocks... yadda-yadda. I got that tip from Tacticalbassin. Works wonders...
Love the biospawn plasma tail!! Extremely buoyant tail and I really like if for Carolina rigs. I hope they make a lizard style bait with the tail being buoyant.
the best expalnation I've ever heard to help differentiate cover from structure is to imagine your house as a lake. the house, walls, and roof are structure. All the furniture would be cover.
You need a fairly stout shaky head for a Biospawn Plasma Tail. It's a tougher worm and light hooks have a hard time penetrating it. I found out the hard way after loosing several fish.
I've been catching tons of spotted bass and largemouth using a dropshot as a follow up bait. If I miss one on a jig I will throw it back in. Even if I catch one on a jig and can't get another bite I've been able to throw the dropshot and pick up another fish or two
Also, I dunno if you know about this or not, but there's a far easier knot than the palomar for dropshot, the dropshot knot. I can't tell you how many times I've tied my hook upside down with palomar knots until I learned the dropshot knot, never happened since.
Yes, but a heavier head would be beneficial. I do all the time with football jigs in thickkkkk weeds when you need something really heavy to get it to the bottom.
It's so he can control the line speed as it goes through his fingers. It's like using your thumb on a baitcaster to slow the line when your casting for accuracy. Just more control when fishing a bank.
Love your your mystery tackle box videos didn't know you were doing them I like your exclamation videos they help out a lot when you're not for sure about certain areas to fish
This is too difficult, I'm torn... I might just rig up both. What do you guys think, dropshot or shake 'n' bake?

I’ll take a rod and reel for both if your offering? I’ll let you know how they do in Wisconsin 😉😅
Shake it all day long!
Can barely get a shakey head through the grass here. Shot all day.
I don’t know MFer, that’s why I clicked on this video!!! 😎😜 If it’s a 6th Sense Shakey Heady, then Shakey Head all day!🤟🏻
Both have their places, but let's not forget the old standby Texas Rig!

When did Rob Dyrdek start fishing?
Hahahaha milliken is awesome. I can see Rob though haha
Best compliment I've ever heard.

I’ve never seen anybody cast a spinning reel like that but pretty neat

got a bass and walleye mystery box and im super happy with what i got amazing gear!

They do get bites though.
I've been fishing a drop shot lately for walleye and have been just slammin them. I think you bass guys are on to something with that one.
Thanks for the Great tutorial Ben Milliken!
Keep em coming. Great information.

I always learn from these and Ben is great. Nice vid! 👊🏼
Good info on where to fish each.
SUPER helpful video! Thanks!

I've used both at the same time. Instead of dropshot weight, I tie on a shaky head.
The fish bit the dropshot.
Those are some huge scissors for a thin line lol!!!!! Love your vids man. You tactical bassin and informative firsherman are the only vids I watch!!
Another awesome tutorial! You look like Zak Bagan btw
You forgot to mention one of the best places for a dropshot, bridge columns
Good informational video man
Well done. Quality video, clear explanation and outstanding demonstration. Thank you. Wonder if the Neko Rig works better than the Shaky Head?
Depends on the situation...that video is coming soon!
Fyi, I hate drop shots. But they work here in our urban lakes in Tucson.
Scott from Az I do too!! But you’re right, they do work!
That casting technique tho? Shaky head is moe betah
Great video.
already know it’s finna be goid
What reel were the bass caught on? Thanks.
Cadence
MFer and his killer rods. Milliken, get those rods of yours out JUNe!!! Been saving to get one. And another great explanation and techniques 👍.
DUUUUUUDE we're trying!!
Great info..
I catch them on both
I need to know when my tackle box come in exactly always, feel like it different days of the month lol.
I AM SURE I AM NOT THE FIRST PERSON TO CONSIDER THIS, BUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT A SHALLOW DIVING CRANK BAIT ON A TOKYO RIG???
Ned rig?
I caught a 3 pound catfish on one today lol
Can you fish the shaky head with a bait caster?
Yes, but a heavier head would be beneficial. I do all the time with football jigs in thickkkkk weeds when you need something really heavy to get it to the bottom.
cody cutro thx man
Wow I was wrong.. I played guess that MTB youtuber didn't expect to see ol slaunchie getting all finessie lol.
hello
SWEET!!!!
Really wish I knew what all the bass lingo was. Otherwise I’m completely lost
On the drop shot rig. Why such a small hook????
Because you don't need a giant hook. It's for finesse fishing. Gotta listen.
What exactly is rip rap?
I've noticed shakey has produced bigger bass for me
I prefer the texas rig
Hey Mil how long of a leader do you use?
Sweet thanks for the tips
WOOOOO
what glasses is he wearing?
What's with that casting technique
It's so he can control the line speed as it goes through his fingers. It's like using your thumb on a baitcaster to slow the line when your casting for accuracy. Just more control when fishing a bank.
Whats the best brand of bourbon to pair with drop shot fishing.
What’s up mtb
Great video and information 😎👍 I uploaded a new video today ☺️
Yo Milliken, where you get that sexy mfer rod !?!?
Follow the Ten Commandments and read Ephesians 4:29
Says a shaky head doesn't mean shaking it...next frame all he does is shake it...
I think Ben is torn lol maybe 6th sense paid him more ?? 🤬
I seen this guy rigging up stinger hooks to swimbaits then going yard with the hook set.... Not professional.
Post a video. Comments and questions. Won't answer. Typical 😂
There is no such thing as a medium-light action rod.
Wow background Black. You can’t see anything he was showing us. But thanks anyway.
Please get a better microphone :( Or at least fix the mic audio.
Are your speakers broke?
Love your your mystery tackle box videos didn't know you were doing them I like your exclamation videos they help out a lot when you're not for sure about certain areas to fish
What is that black rod and reel you are using?
