I would have to ditch iPad and the OnePlus Pad for the OP Open. It’s smaller than I’m used to. But over all larger than any phone. And as close to iOS as you can get by default on any Android brand here in the USA. I look forward to OP making a folding phone that is closer to or matching the OP12/13 in folded form. The Open form will be much closer to true tablet. Scratches on the screen protector. I’ve noticed this same issue on all OnePlus phones. However you only see them when the screen is dark. When the screen is lit, they are invisible. This bothered me at first, but in time I realized, you can’t see them at all when the screen is lit. So as long as it’s on my phone, it’s doing its job. The one case this didn’t hold out….. exactly is with the OPOpen. Shortly after I bought it the screen protector on the inside screen started coming off. And eventually it was so detached that I just removed it. Not wanting to damage the inside screen, I shelved the phone until I could find a folio case for it. I did, thank god. This phone is not inexpensive by any means. But the case has been a blessing. It works perfectly for the phone and the inner screen is in pristine shape.

I hate floating windows on smaller screens, but having options is always better. They could at least make the screen splitting feature more customisable in therms of size. Most app cannot be resized in split screen. only half and half.

For me to get the fold, it needs to come with at least the XL watch for free. If it came with the buds too, that would be amazing, but I'm not expecting it.
If you're okay with leaving the apple ecosystem then I would say go for it!! I personally use the pixel fold+pixel watch 2+ pixel earbuds. They work seamlessly together@@GivThmHal
I love the 17.4:9 ratio on the Fold, really disappointed the 9 Fold going more vertical like traditional phones have been going the last few years. This is one of my favorite things about the Fold, my small hands make it annoying to reach up on tall phones. And the 17.4:9 ratio means it is in landscape mode when opened, which I really like. Also I hate in-screen cameras; I need that hidden camera design Samsung has to get me to buy a foldable with an in-screen selfie cam.
If only the Fold was not nearly double the cost of the 9 Pro XL (even if it does go up in price by say $100), I may end up considering it over the 9 Pro XL. If by some miracle T-Mobile runs a really good trade-in offer for existing 8 Pro owners towards the Fold then that could offset the cost some but I'll still be waiting for reviews before biting the bullet either way where as I am pretty certain the 9 Pro XL is what I'll get.

I know it is off topic but there is a big Issue going on with Google Pixel 4,4xl and 4a devices (also from users with other models of phones). Issue is that phones after jume Google play services update lost contactless payment and Lost play protect certificate. It is affecting Android 13 devices world-wide. Can you please cover these and find more info?
Of course they want us to buy new phones but this isn't a reason to this Issue. Much older phones and Android versions support contactless payment and have play protect certificate. Minimum android version for that feature is android 7.0.. it's a bug on Android 13 after June update of play services

That bezel was one of the worst parts of the pixel fold. I had the smallest scratch and it drove me crazy lol. It was a nice phone but the needed to make a few changes.
Google needs to ditch "their" SoC and I'll buy a Fold again from them. Inability to disable doze is a key reason why I can only use a Snapdragon phone. I tried everything to get notifications to come in a timely manner and it just isn't feasible on the Pixel line of phones that have a tensor chip, regardless of what adb commands and app settings I choose. R.I.P, would've been nice to have this new foldy boi from Google but notifications coming through on time is more important.

That battery life is utter nonsense. The charging speed doesnt bother me whatsoever, but the sacrifices that Google are making on their hardware versus what other manufacturers are pumping out is ridiculous.
I don't know how much they could change the pricing. I don't think it'd be smart to get more expensive than iPhone(which also uses tsmc chips) especially if they want to compete with iPhone. Could we be seeing a future move away from the camera bar in a generation or two? Could the Pixel 10 have a rectangle instead? Similar to how Apple would hold off updated looks for a generation and give them first to their Pro phones?
Eh they probably did the square on the fold since it's now a little less wide and they couldn't fit it all in a line. Could they switch everything to align? Sure. But I don't think it is a given.
Right desktop mode and USB out needs to be standard on all pixels. the pixel 8 and 8pro have it but it's locked by Google until they're ready to launch it .

Got an 8pro here, but 5 was my favorite of all time. Only thing that bothered me was the processing time for photos.
They should just remake the P5 in a couple of years with modern specs once my current one dies. It is the perfect phone.

The fold idea is great, the problem is that fold crease. I will never like it. Microsoft had the right idea with their Surface duo.
