It needs to be connected to the magnet to work. It saves the battery. That’s why it kept disconnecting every time you laid it flat-you removed it from the magnetic dock.
Where did you order these and is the customer service good? I want to order one because half of my logi tech slim folio keys stopped working and I don’t have enough money for another as they’re expensive. I’m just scared because many people say that they get faulty ones or they send them broken. Please let Me know, thank you.
I initially received a review sample directly from Zagg, however since then I have ordered two others from Amazon (for a total of three iPads, not because any broke). My son, who is absolutely brutal with technology did break one after a year or so. I have never dealt with their customer service, so I can't speak to that unfortuantely. If you want to try it, it's 20% off at amazon right now - amzn.to/3GIoW9A
Unanswered question on the Folio 2 review…does it have a Caps Lock On indicator like the Pro Keys has? I’d like to not have to drop the big money on the Pro Keys as the Folio looks like it would do the job, but no caps lock active indication is a dealbreaker on these for me.
It Does! You can see the light here: photos.app.goo.gl/Ty9w71gBX72RFMiW8 The major difference between the two is the Prokeys keyboard detaches. That was super important to me, but if it's not important for you then the folio will probably work for you. Stay tuned - I have another Zagg keyword case review coming up in the near future!
By from the Pro keys. The other one is fine, but it had limited postures for propping up the keyboard. The Prokeys was completely removable from the keybaord making it a great standalone ipad case.
Hi. I refer to the "Pro Keys review" part because this was the one relevant for me. I think I am missing some important feedback in this review. You actually just mounted the keyboard and that's it! You did not showed the keyboard closed and opened, comfort in different typing positions, special functions of the keyboard, inserting the pencil or not, use of the charger port etc... I would have liked to see more on the functionality of the keyboard, not only snapping it in and "that's it". Anyway, I do not think it is the battery of the keyboard dying, but it is that you are disconnecting the magnet. It seems like the keyboard works when you have the magnet snapped, and immediately disconnects when you detach it. Please check and update your review. Thanks!
Would you happen to know if the zagg pro keys keyboard case that is made for the iPad air 4th generation will also work with the iPad 10th generation? Both of them have the same dimensions I believe. Thanks!
HELP ME I have clicked a butten and there’s arrows and stuff on the side of my screen and I don’t know how to get rid of it And when I press it again it keeps multiplying
Hi! Very nice review. I’m thinking of buying the iPad Air (4th gen) version and I got a couple of questions. 1) what’s your opinion on it after a couple of months of use. 2) Do you have a screen protector on the iPad?...does the case interfere with the protector? Thanks!
Thanks! This is a 7th gen iPad not-Air though. I still use the case every day, and I love it just a little bit. Ordering one for my son as we speak actually. IT's a little steep, but it's kinda worth it. If you have an iPad Air, I think Zagg has a case with a detachable keyboard AND trackpad, so that might be worth a look. Can't find it ATM. As far as screen protector is concerned, I don't have one, so I can't speak to that I'm afraid.
@Jimmy Hart Thanks for looking that up for me. Battery life has been solid. I think I've charged mine once since getting it? I love it. Got one for my son for a graduation present and he loves it too.

Yep. Figured that out later. Actually, props to my kiddo for figuring that one out before me ;-)
I just bought mine today! No complaints so far! Thank you for reviewing it :D
My pro keys to be exact
Excellent! Glad you're digging it. Once of the nicest parts is the 7th, 8th and 9th generation iPad all fit in it.
im typing this on my ipad 8 keyboard its actually great and awesome experience for me and its really nice and great combo with mouse
Glad you enjoy it!
Which mouse are you using?
yo, for some reason you was funny to me, started reading in Spanish 😭😭
I have my moments! Thanks for watching!

Good question. Charging it up now. Will advise!

I belive you are correct. This is just an unboxing/First impressions video. The review came on the podcast. Thanks for the update!

Hmm no idea. Don't have the air 4 nor a case for the 10th gen. Sorry.
They don’t work on on the 10th generation. The 10th generation looks completely different.

Yikes! Never ran into that issue. Try contacting Zagg support? Hopefully they can help.

The case does not interfere with the screen protector, I have one for the IPad Pro 12.9 inch 2021 5th generation.
@@roybibbins3273 Thanks for the update!
What’s the battery life like? I’m considering buying one for uni would you recommend or?
Pro keys is supposed to be a full year without charge

I haven’t charged in it 10 months lol 😭
I have large hands, would I be uncomfortable typing?
Guess it kinda depends on how large. I don’t exactly have hobbit hands and it’s ok for me. Easiest way to describe it is it’s the size in an iPad:)
does it come with a charging cable?
It does!
How do you start recording using the keyboard
Not sure I'm following this question...?
Would be helpful to know if you used a 10.2” or 10.5” iPad….
You just call it an iPad, but you leave out this important detail.
Fair point. 10.2. at the time that was the only iPad not-pro size available. But still a good point and duly noted.
Is it just me or does Doud sound like Big Head from Silicon Valley?
Literally the first time I've heard that.
@@BenefitOfTheDoud 🤷♂️
ZAGG - Messenger Folio 2 is better..
I'll have to give that one a look then!
Don’t buy it. My experience has been very negative and now the case portion is falling apart.
Haven't had that experience at all. Sorry to hear.
This can be use for ipad air 4?
I don't think so. But this should work - amzn.to/3B2rf3U
I thought this was a joke at first because the hands look like those of a child, but i guess not and you just have young hands.. :)
Legitimately the first time anyone has ever said that. Umm Thanks? I do have tiny baby hands though. #genetics
