I Accidentally case across this case while in Best Buy. Wasn’t looking for a keyboard style case at the time but the box it was in struck my attention. It came in a really nice, high quality box and looked really nice from its presentation perspective. A nice feature of this box was that it was a book packaging where you can fold the cover over like a book to reveal the contents. Before I left the store I could try every;thing on my iPad before making the decision to purchase it. The case checked all my needs such as a built in kickstand, rugged shell for the iPad and a Bluetooth rugged keyboard that was magnetically detachable. The rugged shell is very robust and protective. The case is mostly made out of hard plastic and very stiff TPU for the sides. The speaker grills are covered and made into sound scoops so that the sound is projected to the front making the iPad sound much louder and it sounds good. The shell is however a pain to install. The case is very snug and it almost feels like your going to bend your iPad (didn’t happen). The shell comes with an attached kickstand that is very wide and stiff (not flimsy, very sturdy and strong). Lastly for the shell part it has a cutout on the top for the Apple Pencil. I myself don’t have the official pencil but 3rd party ones work just as good. (Magnetic wise).
The Bluetooth keyboard is also of high quality and features many shortcut keys to operated the iPad. The keys are a very nice size and are backlit so you can type in the dark (change different colors too). You can pair two Bluetooth devices by using two dedicated keys. The keyboard attaches/detaches very easily and the iPad can be use all on its own to type on or relax with. Overall a great case/keyboard solution. I believe this case will be the new home for my iPad for a while. It fits all my needs and looks very professional while also being very protective. I never plan on dropping my iPad but if I do in the future I believe it will protect my expensive iPad with no issues. The price I paid was 180.00 dollars and I believe that is a fair price for all the features it has to offer. So yes, I would recommend this case and agree with this reviewer 100%

I always get Zagg Rugged keyboards for my ipad devices... I find they work great and give me that ruggedness I need for my day to day functioning. Yes, there is some bulk there - but it wouldn't be 'rugged' if there wasn't some bulk added and I don't have to worry about things 'bending' if they get a bit mishandled during day to day operations.

I think the kickstand hinge has very good adjustable angles. Wow! Glad it survived that drop 😅. Wondering why a trackpad wasn’t built into it 🤔. Lol I think of you and Monty as equal partners 😍👍

The best protection for the iPad Pro has been the box for the keyboard folio. Fits as snug as a bug in a rug. Sure there’s no space for the Apple Pencil in the keyboardfolio box but it has its own place in my backpack. The box is sturdy, nice and smooth, and well made just like all Apple product boxes. The only downside is opening the box to take out the iPad and put it back in. However, it makes for a nice stand when I need to use it at the park and don’t want to damage the material of the keyboard.

I think I understand the two locations for the pencil. If you always leave it in the charging position it sucks battery from your iPad like no other. At least for me I get 2 to 3 days of standby time with the pencil attached. If it is unattached I get about 23 days worth of battery... you may be asking how I know I can get 23 days (or slightly more since I checked it every few days) bc you’d be expecting me to be using my iPad every day, but I’ve been waiting for The Zugu Muse color cases...that were suppose to be out late May/early June. So I’ve just been using my iPad Air 2 for the last few months waiting for a case that’s probably never coming

Love the keyboard but the back hinge is horrible. Mine broke with minimal use. Past Rugged Book model had the same issue. I’m guessing there are quite a bit of warranty claim because of the hinge breaking that there is a selection on the website just for the hinge issue. :-)

No. It's also missing the display brightness buttons. Zagg seems to always do this. Win for the Logitech.

Hi Just ordered this 11inch version direct from Zagg UK as it’s just £49. (I would have ordered from Amazon but it’s £90.)
Really value all your reviews. In the days when you can’t browse shops as easy and also trying to find somewhere that stocks these items to see and feel it’s good to have superb reviews and advice to help make your purchases easier.
I wish it was the 90’s when you could view items before you bought them online for cheaper 🤣

Have had two Rugged Book Go cases for first gen 11" iPad Pro - hinge failed on first one within 9 months. Warranty replacement lasted 6 months before keyboard came apart and then the hinges failed.

Any chance you can review the Doqo 7-in-1 keyboard with integrated trackpad for the iPad Pro 12.9" 2020, I think it would be
a good choice for people who would like something like this for at home instead of having so many separate things like an iPad, cover, keyboard, USB-C Hub and Trackpad when you can have something like this which consolidates all of them. Monty's expression was funny when, you did the mine blown thing! I still like the Logitech keyboard better. Can you use the iPad for most of what you would use a laptop for? No. I am not a big laptop user. Val is great, it definitely adds more to the video! As always so fun!

So we have owned almost every generation of Zagg Rugged Book products and have had many iPads. My wife and I travel a lot with our careers and personal life. Have to tell you this one was the worst. Period. Opens up way too easy. The hinge is junk with that kick stand. The BEST Rugged case Zagg EVER came out with was the model for their iPad Air 2. Only down side was the hinge. If they would have made it a metal hinge that would literally be the perfect iPad case. Hands down.
