What's confusing is as to why some people were Infected that spread the virus when they teleported. All of the Marvel zombies are now sane to the point they don't eat flesh.

Aside from that he probably thought that the zombified look was an improvement over the old shrivelled avocado cancer look that he used to sport when not wearing a mask. He never was the sort to actually consider the deeper picture if it didn't involve him directly. Also the whole Night of the Living Dead Pool series was a much better take on Marvel Zombies then what we ended up getting with this new stuff
That one scene in Far From Home is the closest we'll ever get to this. I still can't believe people think they can make an animated movie version of this.

But the thing I like about marvel zombies is because of that they can think and talk if they're not hungry, makes it more interesting cause you can see how they react to what they have done, aquaman assembles and commanded an army to fight the amazon while being a zombie so they're still not gone in the head.
they are just aiming for different things. Marvel Zombies has always had heavy comedy overtones throughout so it feels a lot more lighthearted despite the subject matter. DCeased on the other hand is an end of the world story played completely straight from start to finish I like DC's take more, but thats also because it's something they are just doing now. Marvel had a lot of time to run the zombie horror comedy formula into the ground

This felt way more hopeless to me DUE to the fact that they can talk, makes them more deadly adversaries. Especially after seeing Magneto get torn apart after he destroyed the teleporter, all hope was lost at that point. The darker artstyle helps a lot too, and I mean a lot.
This was set to be one of my favorite comics as a kid. Unfortunately, it really didn't show what I wanted to see. I wanted to see how the zombie virus spread and the non infected heroes attempts to stop it. Instead its like... we start after everyones been infected, then go to a new uninverse.. next page "It took 3 days now they are all zombies" next universe so on and so on.
Regardless of the fact that this series took a tremendous drop in quality after Volumes 1 and 2, the fact that this universe ends in a time loop is a seriously depressing thought. I understand why it was done, but DAMN do I feel bad for everyone in this universe. The virus was just so powerful that the only way to stop it, was to contain it. Otherwise it’s a threat to the entire multiverse of Marvel. This ending in a loop basically means that all of the pain and suffering the people of that universe endured at the hands of the Zombified heroes Is just to be repeated again and again. No hope, no saviors. Just an endless cycle of pain and misery. 😔

So the watcher can only trap and contain the virus between the two universes in an infinite loop until the end of all things. So there’s really no cure, no hope or solution for these universes. Just an endless damnation for everyone that inhabits it. (Earth 2149 & Earth-Z)

Fun fact, Robert Kirkman wrote this comic book series and we all know him from Walking Dead. I thought it was a masterpiece tbh. It kind of reminded me of Injustice with "What if our heroes stopped having a moral code ?"

I see what you mean cause both Deadpool and Wolverine were part of the Weapon X Program and so their healing factor is even stronger than most other Mutants and Human Mutates. However, the virus kills off the Host, but keeps the mind intact for the most part. Superhumans have unique blood and DNA traits that attracts the virus. This is why it is noted in the comics when Wolverine gets critically injured in a fight he says "I wished that my healing factor still worked" as his flesh is ripped apart and falling to the ground.
I love how Ultron ,Vision, Sentinel's, Super Adaptoid and all these other Robot Heroes and Villains are nowhere in the story ,beacuse they didn't know what to do with them.
Ok I'm pretty sure that the "Zombie Bear" was supposed to be that Russian Superhuman who can turn into a bear, and the "bear-dog" that teleported in was supposed to be a zombie lockjaw

30:15 I'm pretty sure that the "teleporting zombie bear-dog" is actually an alternate version of the Inhuman's dog, Lockjaw. The teleporting part and the horns kinda gave it away to me. Makes sense, since Medusa, a member of the Inhumans was a zombie there and I could've sworn I had seen Blackbolt in the background.
I remember when I was younger I went to the public library an it had that comic with Reed going to the zombie world. Seeing that art again brought back a sense of nostalgia.
Seeing this comic storyline really shows how both the superheroes and the villains are holding back and how literally at any moment, they can kill eachother in a bloody, gorey slaughter 😨

Agreed, I think this is a problem Marvel and DC comics have, some stories have good ideas and start off good, but eventually it just gets bad.

The physiological aspect of the hunger goes away over time. Takes fasting, but it happens.
I think at the end, it was the Watcher actually sending the disease back in time to eat itself, in a constant time loop, never spreading.

30:15 I'm pretty sure that the "teleporting zombie bear-dog" is actually an alternate version of the Inhuman's dog, Lockjaw. The teleporting part and the horns kinda gave it away to me.
