Always look forward to my Fishingmad fix. Well done Guys. 🎣
Awesome, Thanks so much Terry !!
another good session guys fantastic!!!
Thanks heaps Angelo !!
Awesome vid Alan 👍. Love the jet ski vids man. You would have been freezing out there especially on that! 🥶
Thanks Jared as always. Yes it was freezing. The wind chill on your face whilst it was only 3 degrees going 70 kilometres an hour was truly freezing.
Another great video Allan cheers 🎣🎣🎣🎣🇲🇹
Thanks Joe !!! Really appreciate it. Constantly trying to mix up the content.
Lock down i cant go fishing man. Just watch your fishing. Lol!
Oh no that's terrible that your in lock down. One of the unlucky post codes. ( good that your watching our Vids !! ) I suspect we will all be in lock down at some stage next week.
Hi mate. You have going Williamstown for tailor fish.
Great, I really like it and don't forget we are friends
sounds good !!
As always great video
keep it up!
Thank you kindly !!!
I saw fishing on a jet ski for the first time. Thank you for the fun video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video Alan!
Thanks Spencer !!
Hhhah 1c is warm in me country...hahha need vodka not so cold...lake good and clean...nice sea bream....big drinks now for you hahaha
Very true, should have had a few vodkas whilst out on the jet ski to warm up.
That’s my JetSki. Bought it from Seadoo Melbourne last week
Fantastic, You'll have a ball with it. It was well looked after.
@fishingmad hope so. You could have left some gps marks in the sounder tho....
Yeah, im sure the ski will be great. Any issues the guys at melb SeaDoo have been generally very helpful. We were just fishing around williamstown that day, as we weren't anchoring up we didn't really use the sounder. There are some shared GPS marks on the fishingmad website if you need any.
Hey Ryan are you still using and likely it?
You doing a good job man, love your channle!
Thank you kindly !!!
You’d be first to your patch on that thing! I want one haha
Your probably right, I havent seen to many on the waters around our area just yet. They are pretty cool
Good one fishingmad 👍, something completely different fishing off a jet ski. Not much space.
Thanks Anthony. Yeah its really interesting jet ski fishing. Some big positives, such as easy to launch, fast, fun and you can zip from spot to spot. But its not as practical as a fishing boat or even a kayak at times.
@@fishingmad I guess that's one of the main advantage of the jet ski, to move very quick from one spot to another.
Especially when you can do almost 100ks on the water.
Some nice pinkies and squid there, looks like good fun, do you have any tips for garfish, looking to go to Mornington pier this week.
Thanks !!! For Garfish, use very small hooks as they have tiny mouths. I like suspending the hook about 30cm from quill float. My fav bait it live maggots or glassies, bread or small bits of pilchard. The key is to keep a berley trail going.
fishingmad cheers mate love your work
Thank you, happy to help. Good luck !!
Use the ruler on the chilibin bro
Such a cool video. Those Jet skis are cool. What are they worth to buy ?
Thanks Heath. Brand new with a trailer around $20k. A big investment but a very cool product if you can afford one.
@@fishingmad Ill stick with my kayak for now, but they look amazing
LOL, Classic comment
@@fishingmad Thanks
Hey mate this isn’t related to the video but do you know what kind of environment garfish
swim in like weed sand etc
They love shallow weedy area, same areas your likely to find squid and whiting. Around Melbourne many piers are awesome places to target them,
fishingmad thanks
where'd you launch from . cant tell. looks like a good launching spot
Altona boat ramp. Cheers
🔥
Thanks
Do you think it would be hard to drift baits on a jet ski? Do you really need to be anchored?
100% you can drift baits, ideally with a patanoster rig so you dont get snagged to often, you can also buy anchors for the jetskis.
@@fishingmad have you true anchoring one up before or know anyone who has?
Tried I mean not true
Love your videos, do you know what depth you were fishing at also did your line touch bottom or did you have it higher?
Mainly fishing between 5-7 meters deep. I always let the plastic reach the bottom then slowly work it back. Hope that helps.
@@fishingmad yeah that helps a lot, thinking of starting my own fishing youtube channel based around Williamstown and port Phillip bay, any tips?
Hey mate I love the videos just a couple quick questions. I am going out kayaking and i am anchoring down over the sand I can’t really drift because there can be a strong current where I go in ppb I’m trying for flattys do you reckon I should burley and will they even come up to the burley. And one thing I’ve wondered if I burley pot do I cast next to the burley pots or still cast out. And one last thing when you put your burley pot out do you put it all the way to they bottom thanks mate.
If your anchoring than 100% use berely, it will always help. I always have my berley pot to the side so i can avoid tangling it p with my fishing lines and always have the pot on the bottom. This video shows what I usually do when anchored and berleying ruclips.net/video/t4EkPPfQtZs/видео.html cheers
fishingmad you’re a legend
No worries, Thank you !!
Hey mate just a curious question do you reckon fishing off the sand on a ppb beach is possible to catch fish if so what fish thanks
yeah plenty of good spot s of the beach around PPB to catch fish. Ive caught plenty of bream, pinkies, salmon and flathead fishing of the sand at werribee beach, portarlington, barwon heads, even on the sand under the west gate on low tide. Have a look at this link which might help you with some location ideas fishingmad.com.au/locations
Hi Alan, my friend wants to catch Flounder in Victoria but I don’t now anywhere to catch them. Do you know where some of their hotspots are? I hope you don’t mind me asking. Thanks
Hi Angus, only place I have seen them regularly is altona and werribe in the shallows on low tide.
fishingmad thank you I will have to tell him.
nice but at that crazy price why not have a decent size tinny
I have a boat and a kayak. Im lucky enough that I get to do some work for Seadoo, and am always happy to take the jetski out for a fish whenever i can get y hands on it. Just need to when the weather warms up.
hi, Whats the amount of fuel you need for a trip ? And whats the Fuel Economy?
The fuel economy on these are amazing. On this trip we went through a quarter of a tank and we were out for hours and traveled half the bay. If you need exact specs let me know and I can pass you onto our local Sea-Doo dealer who can give you the specifics. Thanks
Hi Alan. Can you tell me please, are you working them soft plastics along the bottom or slow wind off the bottom?
Hi Shannon, I cast wait 5 or 6 seconds for the plastic to sink, then do a couple of lifts, wind the slack and then wait another 5 or 6 seconds some lifts and keep repeating. This video might be helpful in how i work the plastics ruclips.net/video/VEXa7FMDf_Q/видео.html cheers
@@fishingmad thanks I will give it a try!
Excellent, Good luck. Plenty of vids on the channel that might be helpful too
Hi, there, may I kindly ask how is the distance range under the economy motion with fully fuel tank( estimated)? Thanks.
The fuel economy is great on these units. We traveled between 3 different areas all which are about 4 or 5 kilometres apart and the fuel level hardly dropped still above 3 quarters full. Might need to touch base with a seadoo dealer for more specific technical details on fuel and economy consumption. Thanks
Where do you get the Eski from?
Got the eski from Melbourne Seadoo. It works great. My mate has even bought one for his kayak. There is also the fiskski worth having a look at too
@@fishingmad do you know if they fit on all new model sea doos or just the fish pro?
Not 100% sure, i know the 50L cooler fits on all the fish pros and that the 2021 model will be in Aus in about 3 weeks which has a slightly bigger cooler. Maybe give Seadoo a quick email or call www.melbourneseadoo.com.au/seadoo/contact
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you
Thanks for the content.
Whats the average range in km's?
A very safe 100km in chop in the 2022 sport
Great vid Alan. On the savage 1DFR rod what pound braid do you use and pound leader?
Thanks Isaac. Yeah I use 12 pound braid and 12 pound leader. I used to go lighter but lost a couple of really good fish this past summer so have been fishing a tad heavier.
Can you do catch and cook
Sure can, Ive already done a squid and whiting catch and cook. What species were you hoping to feature in the catch and cook
fishingmad flattys
Churrrrr my gussies
Chilli 😂😂 wtf
Brilliant sesh, new subscriber here. Loving it. Hope you get time to check me out on YT too.
How much are these baby's worth (not the blokes), the jet ski!?
Thank you!! I'm happy to checkout your channel, send us a link. These retail around 20k. So its a tough choice between that or a boat.
Yeh that's my first thought as well. Boat v Jetski. Usual pros and cons for intended purpose will probably decide it 😂
ruclips.net/video/g1yovgIp_yE/видео.html
Yeah a boat is so much more practical for fishing but the jet skis are lots of fun. Thanks for the link ill check it out
