Cheers, yeah it's great to see somewhere different . Im hopefully doing Clifden Arts Festival in September so it would be good to do some walks in Connemara.
Loved your video, so I'm now a subscriber 👍next time you are back in our lovely Co. Wicklow, try a hike up Tonelegee and its lovely heart-shaped lake, Lough Ouler. Its beautiful
Great to see you making it down to Wicklow Bob! For the number of RUclips creators based in Northern Ireland I never see anyone coming to Wicklow - you did a great job showing off Lugnaquilla, Cloghernagh and Arts Lough 👍 I was willing you to choose the route that you did as it makes a great looped hike back to Baravore. Great you got some snow up top and that it wasn't too busy at the summit....looked a lovely and satisfying hike!!
Thanks Miriam, yeah I don't know why the Irish Peaks book didn't recommend this route - makes a lot more sense than going along the road at the bottom. Is there anywhere else in Wicklow you would recommend ?
@@babcockandbobbins I’m a big fan of the mountain lakes in Wicklow - Tonelagee to take in Lough Ouler, Luggala and Knocknacloghoge for Lough Tay and Lough Dan, Mullaghcleevaun to make your way down to Cleevaun Lough. All beautiful walks and views 😊
Hi Bob, I loved your tour of Lugnaquilla. I'm planning to go there tomorrow with a group of friends, and I think you have helped me make up my mind which route we'll do. I might even pack some swimming trunks and stop off at Arts Lough for a swim. Best wishes.
That's great . Hope you enjoyed it - did you go for a swim ? Heading down to Connemara this week for Clifden Arts festival so hoping to get some hikes done whilst im there.
Brilliant views. I did Lug from the other direction a few weeks back and nothing but thick fog. Will try it again from the Baravore car park, might get lucky 🙂
Welcome to mucky Wicklow Bob lol great to see you down my neck of the local woods lol Arts Lough great route a bit steep down past it mind you... Great to see you venture down south as we venture up north so many times :) Hope you enjoyed Lug next time pop into Fenton's pub for a cuppa.. ATB ☘️
I just googled Fentons pub and the first picture that came up was a horse in the bar ! lol. Definitely be good to try another route up there and some other routes in the area
Just had a look at it on google earth, that would be a great one, especially with the drone above the lake. Hopefully going to get back down to Wicklow at some point this year. I'm heading to Connemara for Clifden Arts Festival in September so hopefully get a few walks in there as well.
We walked the lug from the carpark between the waterfall and baravore on Tues, constant mist but a great walk nonetheless, we entered the tree line just before arts lough there
Thanks for promoting our great hills!
Absolutely superb video.
Thanks Malcom :)
Another good watch Bob, nice change from the Mournes

That was a great video Bob,
I went up that route on Saturday, visibility wasn't great at the top, but it was still very enjoyable.
It is a lovely route, I have another video from Wicklow that I still haven't edited yet. i need to retire to give myself more time lol

Hi Bob, you should hike the lough Ouler loop here in Wicklow, also known as the heart shaped lake.

Really want to get back down to Wicklow. Bit of a long drive for me, hopefully get down sometime this summer
