    Overall bad, but just like any other industry/business that exists you have to figure out where the money is at. Being an owner operator means you are running a business and you have to have a business mindset, meaning adapt or fail. Too many people come out thinking its as easy as hopping behind the wheel and you make money but it's not so simple.

    Switch commodities. Go haul sand. Paid by the load. Works out to $8 a mile. Just bought a second truck. Quit starving otr driver.
