I have been leather crafting for about 7 years now and this is what makes it so interesting. The amount of creative ideas are infinite. Thank you for your fantastic imagination. Great work!
My 15 year old granddaughter would love this. She expressed an interest in entomology as her career and I think this project is just the thing for her! It's not a question of if I make this but when. It looks fun and challenging. 😊
As a big isopod fan & leatherworker... I know what I'll be doing next week 😂 Thank you so much for making this beautiful pattern & sharing it with us! Going to have fun with it!
Update: I finally got started on this project a while ago and I'm loving it so far!! Thank you for this amazing pattern! I'll be sure to tag you in a post of the finished product 🎉
The faint but still very audible “awww” of disappointment when I heard “experienced leather working” at the beginning 😂 (for real, what did I expect???) I’ve done pretty much everything I know of BUT sewing… and patterns scare me. But I am so obsessed with this; I think I might buy the pattern and test out my skills with patterning on fabric and also practice leather stitching on scraps I have. My hands and fingers hurt just thinking about it. I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel. Everything I’ve seen is so amazing!
Metric equivalents (so you don’t have to convert yourself): Bag Size (approx.): Length: 37 Cm Width: 14 Cm Depth: 10 Cm Total leather, about 0,65 m² to 0,75 m² Main leather: 1mm - 2mm 'Crazy horse' medium to stiff Eyes (the base): 1.6 - 2.0 mm veg tan Eyes (the “pupils”): thin dark leather, glossy or with “metallic” effect, or at least anything dark. Belly outer part: 0,6 - 0,8 mm lambskin, sheep skin, or goat skin. Belly “sixpack” filling: padding polyester or foam or cotton, whatever you have on hand. Legs: 1.2 mm soft to medium leather Hardware: 2 x 25,4 mm D-rings 1 x 23 cm zipper 6 x rivets or Chicago screws
I am going to learn leather work to make this bag. Everyone wish me luck. If I can get a physics degree then I can make this isopod bag. (thank you for this video)
Isopod requires 5 mm, not 5 SPI, but if you are referring to my older patterns made for that size, here are the 5 SPI (they call it "3mm") tandyleather.com/products/88043-535-pro-line-diamond-stitching-chisels?_pos=1&_sid=43ce178ea&_ss=r

Вот это фантазия, офигенно!

A super cute friend to carry all your things :) I love it!
That is an absolutely freakin crazy bag! Insane! Very cool! Congrats! 👏👍💪
absolutely beautiful
This is INCREDIBLE!!!
I’ve only just started leather-working. It’s going to take me a long time to get to this level, but I now have a goal.
Amazing design! Can't wait to try it. Have you or has anyone tried increasing the size by a percentage? Has it worked out well? Thanks!
Most amazing bag design I’ve seen in leathercraft. Would call the style “Primordial futuristic”!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Kind of creepy but so fascinating. 83 pieces is intense. Thank you
I love this bag you really inspired me to make this or buy😃

Thank you :) I should include metric measurements too but I am being disorganized!
@@KarlovaDesign as long as you produce such nice and original designs / patterns, you are excused. :-)
I love it...! I'm going to make one for myself, for sure...!
Amazing idea and result!
Just started with it! All upper parts cut and holes punched. Now for belly!
Do you burnish/slick the top side of your crazy horse to get that shine look? Noticed the canvas cloth. Is that what that did?
Yes, quite often, I made a separate video about it: ruclips.net/video/f3V43OyBghE/видео.htmlsi=JJVjaLtdm2z1MysK
Thank you I'm going to check it out @KarlovaDesign
I am completely ready to make this!!!
Just when I thought I'd seen everything. Very cool!
you're amazing! Thank you. I'm om it now. see you in 4-5 days ;-)
can't wait to see it! please share the pics :)
I love it!
beautiful 😍
This is very cool 🥰
I've just bought the pattern. How many feet of leather do we need to make this?
Thank you, enjoy! :) You will need about 7-8 sq.ft.
@@KarlovaDesign Thank you 🖐️😃

You can do it :) I saw someone making the isopod as their very first leather project. And they did a great job :)
Please tell me where I can get a 5spi stitching iron?

are there areas where I can use my stitching machine?
Uhm, honestly I don't think so - all the seams are 3D, I can't imagine sewing it with a machine! unless it's a cobbler and you are 80 lvl :)
How to buy this

Im from vietnam. I can’t pay to buy
@@chocucu4 oh..... You don't have any payment system that works worldwide? Maybe you have a friend abroad who could help you with that?
👍
