This was my first gun to ever buy, and it was this year, I kept going to the gun store holding every gun and weighing the pros and cons, this sig p320 m18 just beated every other gun I held even the glock. I shot it a couple times and because due to the pandemic finding ammo to shoot it more is a difficult choice to make to take it to the range because now every bullet counts. And people are stocking up like crazy.
I just witnessed a very convincing big foot behind you followed by a turkey. Great review! Also I see your m18 is using an optic but still has the rear sights?
Glad that you mentioned the trigger not working upon reassembly. I'm Army so we have the 17 not the 18 but I had to figure this out- before watching your vid. I thought I was messing something up but it's the same solution
“Sigs don’t perform well after 25yds”, a phrase usually said by someone that can’t hit a B8 at 25yds. I’ve heard the same complaints about the 92 series, yet I’ve never seen one that can’t shoot well at 25 and beyond.
Shot 85 rounds today out of my sig m18 is was a pleasure to shoot. Going back to the range tomorrow to shoot at least 50 more rounds. No issues what so ever.
Almost bought the M17. Really liked it and loved the modularity. And then I just bought another M&P instead. I don't need the modularity and aftermarket support on them. Still want an M17 but, it's low on the list. They're pretty cool
I have a M18 with a delta point pro and the co witness sights along with a TLR8AG. And love it. I also have the M9A3 and absolutely love that as well. Both are workhorse’s but I just prefer the Iron sights on the beretta
Very informative and I have upgraded to the Wilson Combat Coyote and Black grip modules up to date with an upgraded trigger and she is not only reliable but, DUTY ready with cowitnessing red dot optics... She runs like a raped APE! Appreciate the video years ago and I had to come back to it. 115 grain runs all day at 50 yards now!
Man I just finished Top Shot season 3 for the first time and it was insane how well Dustin was shooting. I don't know if I've ever seen a better shooter in my life, except for maybe Jerry Miculek.
Hey Dustin, just so you know. The reason why the trigger didn't reset on reassembly was actually because of the slide lock. It's a safety feature with SIG, they physically require the slide lock to be engaged when reassembling for the gun to function properly. If you take the gun apart and pull the trigger, it's dead. Now go ahead and take your disassembled gun, rotate the takedown lever back closed (with the slide off) and push the slide lock up, you'll notice a click and the trigger will function again. As long as you follow all the necessary steps to disassemble and reassemble, everything should work. If you skip just one step, it won't assemble, disassemble, or function out of a concern for safety from SIG.
Me and my family always try to spot bigfoot lurking in the background! Great video Mr. Ellermann. I would be interested to hear your opinion on Mossberg's new pistol, the Mossberg MC2C. I know that Mossberg is really known for their shotguns but i would like to see if their reliability and affordability carries over to their new pistol as well! Thx Dustin! Keep up the good content!
It's terrible practice to not use the safety on a firearm that has one. If it somehow were to flip on the you're going to be confused and unable to fire your firearm in a SD situation. Either train to use the safety or remove it. Leaving it and "not using it" is not a smart option.
Hellow I see what happened at 6:40, you actually ran into a safety feature there, which made the trigger unfunctional. You NEED to lock the slide back before you rotate the takedown lever into the forward position. By rising the slide lock as you said in the video, you actually reset the trigger lock, it will work perfectly normal then. You just pulled the slide back with the C-Grip, like a Glock, that didn't reset the fire control unit. It's also stated in the manual that way. Kind regards
Yeah man just because the military issues it doesn't mean it's the best. Normally if you want the latest and greatest look in the competition world not everything they use but a lot of it is way better than what the military has!!!
Navy is issuing this out over m9, might get one when I go to the middle east, haven't been trained how to use it tho, thinking it's the same but a bit different.
What found is if you're EDC or Concealed Carry has a safety, it's better to have safety on the pistols you shoot the most if not all. So subconsciously you know already aware of the safety in stressful situations.
What's up with that rear sight? Looks like it's mounted to the RDS? Also, when the trigger does that, you just have to cycle the slide catch and it'll reset. I think it's a safety feature.
Another M18 reviewer: "This pistol is not very accurate. I only hit 3 out of 6 shots fired. It's definitely the pistol's fault." And another M18 reviewer: "This pistol had two malfunctions out of the 1000 rounds that were so kindly donated by my ammo sponsor _________. It's definitely the pistol's fault." Dustin: Shoots and hits every time at a range others thought was undoable.... "That's a nice group! Honestly, I can tell when I broke a little high and a little low, even then, that's a nice group!" Nice shooting, Dustin. I'm sure it's the pistol's fault.
Just bought a Sig P320 yesterday. Haven’t shot it yet but I fell in love with the gun and I can’t wait to take her to the range. What dot sight is good for this gun?
I have a Beretta 92FS and I love it. Pretty identical to my issue weapon while active. Big? Yes. Heavy? Yes. Accurate? Yes, I can dump the whole mag in seconds and not drop a round. Realistically, NOT a good EDC concealed, but in my tactical dropleg, perfect. For EDC I prefer the M&P 5". But that's me.
On all p320’s when putting the slide back on if you do not use the slide lock and lock slide to the rear and then flip the takedown lever back without using the slide lock the trigger will not engage… you have to use the slide lock in order for trigger to reset, you can hold slide back and flip takedown switch back and then let slide go and then pull slide back and lock it will work to but may aswell just use slide lock
Soooooooo to prevent that recoil spring sticking out..... I also had an aftermarket DPMS recoil reduction one btw..... I kind of grinded down one of the round corners on the bottom of the recoil lug so as to not have that issue anymore. Works fine still. Cycles fine.
All the Sig P320 series you HAVE to use the slide lock when re-assembling the slide. If you don’t you get dead trigger. As long as you use the slide lock like you’re supposed to you won’t have trigger issues after re-assembly.
I don't know what the deal was with those first p320's I bought won years later after they had fixed all the problems mine is butter smooth accurate with the cheapest crappiest ammo its just A1 from top to bottom my m18 rivals Glock for sure it is just as good as my Glocks over 2000 rounds with cheap crappy ammo and nice hollow points no malfunctions at all just like my Glocks I have never cleared a malfunction on a single one of my Glocks or p320's.
So... a Turkey and bigfoot go into the woods!.....
No punchline, but needs one.
This guy will laugh punchline or not
I was thinking the same thing!
Yeah I saw that too.
I literally had the same thought...then the random goat...why haven't I come across this before. I've apparently been missing out!
0:43 back at it again with big foot i see and this time he made friends with the turkey
0:43 me sneaking behind my wife's back to buy a gun outside of the budget

I just witnessed a very convincing big foot behind you followed by a turkey.
Great review! Also I see your m18 is using an optic but still has the rear sights?
Right, then a scared goat barging across the range, need to analyze it some more
What company made that rear sight ?? Let us know please 🙏!!!!
Glad that you mentioned the trigger not working upon reassembly. I'm Army so we have the 17 not the 18 but I had to figure this out- before watching your vid. I thought I was messing something up but it's the same solution
I was a camper here. Nice to see that you have a good RUclips Dustin. I’m subscribing.
Awesome! Thank you!
As a retired Army Soldier I have shot both. I bought a Sig P320 and love it over the Beretta just as Dustin says in this video.
Your range is so cool I haven't shot any of my guns since the Corona hit
I feel that 💯, I miss having a job and being able to shoot every week or so
“Sigs don’t perform well after 25yds”, a phrase usually said by someone that can’t hit a B8 at 25yds. I’ve heard the same complaints about the 92 series, yet I’ve never seen one that can’t shoot well at 25 and beyond.
I reached 5015 rounds today with my Sig Sauer M18. Awesome pistol no complaints what so ever .
Would you conceal carry with it?
@YungSav16 I carry it everyday at appendix and 4 o'clock. I also have a x compact grip module if I want to make it a little bit smaller.
I really enjoy my M18, got it this April & I have about 1500 rounds down range. Guns dope
Due to ammo shortage, I trained myself to use the safety by doing dry fire drills everyday. Now it's just second nature to me.
Slow is fast, fast is slow. Muscle memory is key.
Shot 85 rounds today out of my sig m18 is was a pleasure to shoot. Going back to the range tomorrow to shoot at least 50 more rounds. No issues what so ever.
0.44 I see 'rilla', or 'squatch' and the turkey headed towards the berm. good job Top Shot.

Appreciate it

you are telling me exactly what I said in the video... And sig marketing it as a "safety feature" doesn't mean it was intentional lol.

Just because it has a safety, doesn’t mean one has to use it...
It’s manual for a reason
It makes a good thumb rest

To be quite honest most Sig pistols are nice
I have an XCompact but purchased the M18 conversion kit and I love it. No safety and can easily swap back over to my Xcompact.
Ive never watched this dude but the end of the video was cool funny crazy. This dudes outros are legendary😂
Are we gonna ignore the fact that Sasquatch walks by in the background at 0:40? 😂
Pet turkey? Check. Pet goat? Check. Pet sasquatch? Uh, check. Pet squirrel? SQUIRELL????!!!
Thanks
Man wtf was that walking round in the background about 45 seconds in
Love seeing interrupting turkey chasing Bigfoot lmao!!!!!! That gun looks amazing so now I might have to have a new EDC

Love that opening drone shot!!
You had me at Bigfoot being chased by a gobbler.
Sasquatch has a pet turkey now!!! LMAO
He kinda looks like shaggy with a bit of Jim Carrey lol.

0:43 wtf moving in the back
Went from a 1911 to this, I have zero issue with the safety obviously. I miss my kimber but the sig is just more modern
I'm planning on buying my first (real) handgun soon. Have a BP pietta 1860 army and a pos junk DB9. Considering one of the sig p320 models.

goats don't walk on two legs.
Am I tripping or was there a Big Foot getting chased by a Turkey in the back ground 😂
