this is the only time i’ve ever seen him actually speak to someone without sass and it’s because hes in the presence of the godmother of makeup tutorials 😭 i love you, michelle
They actually uses AAVE which its interesting how they're not using it here...
Bretman’s tone didn’t sound genuine tbh

I’m 35 and it’s so true. When I look back to my 20s how much I’ve changed. I don’t let little things get to me anymore or get so defensive about things. I had a lot of anger as a kid & trauma. So when you’re in your 30s you start to reflect on things. I appreciate my space & alone time. Set boundaries with family and friends. And I appreciate sleep so much!!! 😭😭😭 plus reading self care books helps as well.
You just explained it perfectly..❤
Slightly opposite on me, I barely squeaked when I didn't get what I should've get (promised promotion, getting mocked, bullied etc) and just play along and avoid confrontation. Now I have more courage to stand up for myself and set boundaries. My ma just looked at me and said I'm becoming more like my dad.
@@0808charleneproud of you! I’m still working towards this, hopefully it’ll come soon

In my case all those traumas suddenly came back and hit me now, in my 40s no less
people are different every 10 years no matter how old you are..mid 30s? you going to change many more times
It’s actually every 7 years
true! it may be more helpful for people in their 20’s to hear because of how much pressure we put on “figuring your life out” on your 20’s though
Well duh but that’s exactly what she said, she just so happens to be in her 30s
Nah...up to late 30s dramatic changes after that usually not that many

So true. I’m 37 this year. This has been the best year of my life so far. I would trade the wisdom and a sound mind that comes with age over the frivolity of my youth any day of the week. The more you know yourself, the less attention or validation you need from others. I look forward to my 40’s and beyond!
Yes, that's the best part of getting older...not needing anyone's validation. I'm 10 years older than you, and I can still remember being 37. The next ten years will go by in the blink of an eye. Trust me, they will. Enjoy each day!
Yes we are constantly changing in our own personal journeys. We are not the same people we were when we were in our 20’s.
When you say it, it’s not the same as when Michelle Phan says it!
Thank goodness we aren't the same 😂
She is so beautiful and graceful
I stopped wearing making for the last three and a half years bc of the pandemic. But Michelle was the first person i learned from when I started wearing make-up. Her earlier videos were some of the most calming and yet satisfying to watch. ❤
I feel the same as Michelle.. but when I looked at my brother who is 32 now, he suffered Clinical depression last year, quit his work and couldnt return because of this mental health issue. My brother could also be flying high in his 30s now, but it was the opposite for him. Hugs to someone who is in similar situation.
This is the first benevolent "wait till you're older" comment I have ever seen 😭 I wish more people acted this way to younger adults and teenagers: actual encouragement and wisdom, rather than disdain and dismissal
What she saying is true, im 33 and ive never been most self aware
She looks so beautiful. Her words were wise and calming as well
Damn Michelle Phan looks like an actual queen ❤❤❤ She gave such amazing advice to Bretman. This was so heartwarming to watch.
I’m 31 and it was almost instant, after 29 I truly stopped caring what people thought about me and just did what made me happy!
I LOVED Michelle Phan growing up she was the OG beauty guru in my opinion
This is legit. I’m in my early 30s and only now did it start to become clear in my head that there are specific things I want to do in life. That’s why it baffles me why we are taught to rush making life-changing decisions in our 20s. Take your time. It will get better.
At 11 i was very much insecure and naive and followed thr crowd, at 21 i was still trying to understand me and my rights and wrongs, at 31 now im like i kinda know who i am. Life hits you in so many different ways. ❤
Thats true. I'm in my early 30's now and I literally saw myself change. That's what I always say to someone 10yrs younger than me. Give yourself a lot of chance because you'll definitely change to a whole new one.
This is soo true When I hit my 30's i dont know what happend to me but i just change my entire mindset and redirect my life...
I'm 36 and honestly the bit i like the most is not caring what people thibk of me anymore. In my teens and 20s i had the worst anxiety when it came to meeting new people... i would worry they would hate me or that i would say or do somthing to make myself look weird. Now i do the give any of that a though 😁
She started it all for me with RUclips ❤️ so happy to see she’s come so far since then!
Michelle phan is an icon and someone I look up to as a woman
Oh wow they're both so incredibly beautiful
This is so true. I am now 34, and looking back in my 20s like wow how much I have changed. I have lost my parents in my 30s and lived in a different country and I do feel more “grown” to say the least than I have ever before.
I am 21 currently and very self conscious. It makes me happy to see people say we change in our 30's
OH MY GOSH RICE BUNNY😍😍😍😍😍I REMEMBER HER FIRST BEAUTY VIDEOS!! I WAS OBSESSED FOR YEARS!! WHEN SHE GOT HIRED BY LANCOME, SHE GOT SUPER BUSY...WANDERLUST WAS AMAZING!! BRETMAN AND MICHELLE ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE IN MY TOP 5 OF RUclipsRS THAT I MUST CHECK UP ON OFTEN❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
michelle was my childhood since the second grade and possibly one of the best influences in my life
I also need this advice! Omg. I'm 24 and currently struggling knowing my purpose. This just reassures me that there is still a lot to look forward to. Thank you, mother!
These are words younger people in mid and late 20's should and needed to hear ❤
Michelle phan is like... the VETERAN of RUclips makeup tutorials it's like the wise master passing down advice to a disciple
This is so true. I'm now 32 and I couldn't care less about what other people say about me, I'm just here living life in my own terms.
I love Michelle ❤😭, everytime I see her thriving I get so nostalgic and feel like crying
Miss Michelle Phan, what a refreshing nostalgic face to see again after all these years. I really wish her the best, she was like a mother to me from age 7-12
Two favs! Michelle Phan is the OG of OGs 😢 She got me through my high school years and now I’m 30
I believe her, I’m 25 now and the more I learn about myself every year. The more confident, the more driven, the more centered and happier I am. I’m starting not to fear aging but welcoming it because life just keeps getting better every year
I turned 26 this year and my perspective on so many things has changed drastically from just when I was 24. Im actually excited to turn 30 for these very reasons, I feel like there is a whole new sense of self, loving of self, and enlightenment you gain in your 30s and I’m so ready for it.
I love to see genuine side of the people. This was his moment. Look how calm and genuine he was. I absolutely love see this in every human.
I feel like this is so true. I’m 29 & already starting to feel like this.. Truly Caring less what ppl think, zero ppl pleasing, unapologetically doing what I know is best for ME & just getting wiser & living in my truth, it’s another level of confidence ❤
I swear she is not lying. I’m 37 & I’m loving life & the skin that I’m in.
Nice to see Michelle Phan. My first favourite youtuber.
I never know what you’re about to drop but what I always know for sure: it’s gonna hit home, you’re gonna put words and references to my personal experience and I am forever grateful for you. And btw, we are interested in you personally, not just what you’re about to share. Because you are an interesting person! ✨
Seeing her in Vietnamese gown gives me chill. You go Queen❤
I AM LITERALLY THERE RIGHT NOW-taking steps back and reflecting❤❤❤❤❤❤
Living through this as we speak. Never thought it would be possible but here I am, absolutely thriving. She's totally correct.
Every single thing this lovely lady said is 100% facts. 👌🏼❤
Always a follower... love her and missed her bubbly character sometimes but she has got so matured.. proud of her now 😊
I couldn't agree more with Michelle. You will know yourself more. In my case, when I hit my 30's, I accepted and love myself completely and I am glad how I see myself now 💜🥰
You are going to change every decade of your life! Mostly you change for the better!
Michelle is a prodigy that paved the way for RUclips makeup artists. She's so brilliant, and her tutorials were always on another level. She convinced her audience the value of makeup artistry that even someone like me who never cared for makeup grew to enjoy makeup and build my own makeup collection. The beauty community was so much better back then because of her. Now the makeup community has deteriorated so much that it's not about beauty, creativity, or skills anymore, but just clout, drama, and selling $h!t. ❤ Michelle!
This is the god mother and OG of YT influencers and beauty gurus. Wow I feel so old and emotional right now.
She’s so right!!!!!!
THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS, EVOLUTION IS FOR REAL!!! 😂💗 Such good advise. Thanks
She's so right 🙏🏾❤️
Michelle Phan is the reason I got into makeup 😭 I’m so happy she’s doing well for herself ❤
real talk, I'm proud of both of them!! 😊😊❤
Ugh I just love Michelle
Michelle Phan has been my beauty guru in college. My late mom always follow her beauty routines ❤😂
She was one of the first RUclipsrs I ever watched ❤
She looks so regal and beautiful
This is my experience too! It was weird though it's like something switched the moment I turned 30, never felt more sure of myself, it feels really liberating.
Michelle Phan, the original RUclips older sister we really needed. ❤
🥲 its going to be bday soon and I’m already crying. This gave me hope.
Michelle is the person who introduces me to makeup back when I was still in college and I am a full time makeup artist for 7 years now
So am i and right now i feel like after so many years of confusion i finally know what i want, the focus is there the passion is strong and the drive is top speed.
I can say she's 100% right
I must say Bretman Rock is amazing but Phan, Phan is LEGENDARY
This is giving me hope. I needed this
Michelle Phan wowwwww. I'm a fan. Wish to see you!
Love it! Need her real secrets to that eternal youth look.
33 but already agreeing. Cant wait to grow some more in my years!
He listen because she is genuine, i mean one of the genuine one in beauty industry that beauty.
I almlst forgot Michelle Phan is the core of beauty vlogging industry. She is my childhood
She's so humble and wise and successful
This duo is just so iconic
I used to watch her with my sister when I was young, seeing her face after literally more than a decade is SO nostalgic 🥺
Her outfit just reminds me of the AoV Illumina skin 🥹 so gorgeous
She’s so right. I’m in my “stepping back and relfecting” stage.
She’s 💯 correct. It’s just difference. Enjoy the hell out of your 20s and I’ll add don’t be prideful not to listen to others a few years older or 100 years ( and from all different people, all.) and also even a few of your peeps that’s heading up the ladder in life or professionally. This will help you enjoy life in your 20s.
She so pretty
god i love michelle phan so much
Michelle Phan was the first popular YT make up artist of our time
I'm turning 30 next year and this is so helpful because right now I'm wondering how things are gonna be for me in my 30s and honestly it's kinda daunting because... right now I'm like going through some mess. It's so assuring from Michelle herself.
My gosh! Michelle Phan! The real GOAT of make up tutorial.
Michelle Phan with the realness always 🙌🙌🙌
Some people will be 20 and have gone through more in life than someone in 50. Everyone's life experiences are different, but we definitely change.
Yup
Oh michelle phan and Bretman in one screen, love them both😊😊❤
OMG it's been a while since the last time i saw bretman rock, he's still the same, unlike the other infulencers. His face still natural.
The lady is beautiful and i agree with what she said.
ahhh I'm so happy to hear that 😭💖💖💖
mother. she was THE ORIGINALLLL
When I was in kindergarten, and I really looked up to Michelle Fawn, I just remember her being the first person I ever idolized show forever hold a place in my heart as a new little girl
Maybe I am alone in this but being in my 30s has only made me a more anxious and insecure person. I worry about dying all the time and life feels a lot more futile. This is likely because I’ve experienced more death recently than before. But it’s a bit sad that I’m not going through this same positive transformation as other people. I used to be a confident and positive person.
I started feeling that at 25 and I always tell myself that death has nothing to do with age. But I think it’s just depression and anxiety.
U will be fine. Be at rest. God is wit U❤️
Great advice❤ shes so beautiful
What’s better is knowing there will never ever be another you
it's SO TRUE. i wish there was a better way to explain it to younger people to give them more hope so they can hold on a little longer
Oh my goodness Michelle Phan made my 20’s a colorful year with all the make up tutorials I followed from her
I remembered nude and taupe eye shadows 😅
Love everything she's wearing .
You are more empowered in your 30s and it is such a redefining decade..you really start to see the bigger picture, more comfortable in your own skin..and in your 40s you are just solid with your boundaries, understand what really matters and you are just not afraid to be yourself..it doesn't matter whether it pleases others, more empowered and more confdent.
Michelle is amazing. Meet her 3 times.
