- The second part of Ernie's play "The House Of Terror" sees the boys joined by Francis Matthews. This part also has the "premonition" gag that was shown in UKGold's Best Of Morecambe & Wise show.
You can sense how on form Eric Morecambe was here. He was on fire. Sharp and fast. Top form and loving bouncing off Francis Matthews with the jokes.
I just loved these guys. All the little side glances, comments. Just funny!
The crossing legs routine was identical to the one done, with Peter Cushing.

Francis Matthews was a perfect foil for M & W.
He can certainly keep up with them better than a lot of their other guests.

Why don't we have something like this here in Team U.S.A.? This stuff is great! The lady wearing playing the English flapper should have gotten herself a better looking cloche hat. Otherwise, she's pretty. =)
Morecambe & Wise - "The House Of Terror" part 2 0354am 11.5.23 the pants!!! the pantaloons!!! would that it was all in the mind, katy. the old timey classics and the purveyors of such are long gone. comedy now seems to stem from some irate chap in hyde park shouting at some scummy photographer as some other chap sticks his tongue out at any camera he finds pointed in his general direction.

Hang on - this version came first you idiot - aired in 1971, Eric and Ernie did not join Thames until 1978
