- This is Tom's complete performance on the Morecambe & Wise Show. Eric and Ernie introduce him, then they act as his backing singers for his performance of "Exactly Like You" (the "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" routine) and Tom ends with his (then) latest hit "Till"
OMG all the memories, we used to never miss Morecambe and Wise show especially with Tom Jones . All we have now is reality TV which is absolutely abominable. The younger generation don’t realise what good comedy we had back then , absolutely bloody marvellous compared with today .
I met Eric Morcambe a long time ago. A big limo pulled up behind a night club I was working at and I approached to say they had taken the wrong road. The rear, darkened window wound down and I exclaimed "Oh, it's you!" as Eric smiled at me. :-)
Boy, could Tom Jones sing! No wonder he was known as 'the voice'!
When I was twelve, Tom Jones was in his highest point of his career. I didn't pay attention to him. Now I really understand how fantastic he is and he was. I have enjoyed this sketch a lot.

Tom Jones is one of my all time favorite comedians. He can sing a bit too.
Week after week, year after year, the biggest stars were happy to come on the show and be upstaged by these two. All because they were so admired and of course brilliant.
I think this is pinnacle Eric and Ernie. Eric riffs so effortlessly in this and Ernie plays an awesome foil
Back in the 60s and 70s there were some brilliant comedians but Morecambe and Wise stood head and shoulders above the rest
If Eric and Ernie were still with us doing their show. I can not think of one of today's "celebrity" I would want to see with them.
They enjoyed themselves so much. Just great fun timeless comedy. Tom Jones just went with it.
HOW did Tom Jones keep even a semblance of a straight face. I would have been cracking up. Oooh my stomach hurts from laughing!!!

Im 19 years old and I think that was a great part. Tom Jones such a perfection when it comes to singing. Eric and Ernie were hilarious being as dancers. HAHAHA! This should be getting more views soon!
There are a few of these that are legendary. Glenda Jackson as Cleopatra, this one, and of course Andrew Preview.
