I’m working on a vogue pattern for men’s trousers now, and this was so helpful. I’m sure I’ll watch this a few times! Very well done video. Thank you.

This is just what I needed to watch. Working on some board shorts that have these, and this explains so much more than just ripping the old pocket apart and reverse engineering it! Thank you

Gorgeous pronunciation the way it always should be! (No t-glotting, no slang, no verbal laziness dropping letters like gangers) Not to mention the terrific job! Flawless execution!

Thank you for such clear and detailed instructions. Too many times you only get enough information to make bigger mistakes.

Thank you so much, I recently did 2 shorts out of vogue patterns and somehow I knew I was doing somethign wrong because, INDEED, every time I sew the pockets the patterns just told me to turn, not to put the piece trhough!!! Thanks so much!!!

Great tutorial. You obviously know how to do welt pockets. This is simple and straightforward. I see you used the Vogue pattern V1439. I want a pattern that has that pocket in the pants, both front and back. And I am working on a jacket with two welts at the yoke seam and two at the mid front of the jacket. So hard to find patterns that contain the right placement and design elements. Thanks for showing that pattern info. And for this great demo of a welt pocket. Jnetti.

be careful using heat erasable pens they can and do come back when the item gets very cold. yes once heated will disappear again but they are not best thing for marking fabric with.

Those pockets are shallow. No way anything will stay in there.
