I loved my rc 10 I had as a kid in the 80s. I do find it funny when they bring these old kits out of retirement, and kids today think it needs upgrades... lol. This thing kicked ass in the 80s just as it does today.
Great vid. great to see the classics are still alive. im 56 and raced ALOT back in the late 80's early 90's....then got married and started a family...now my kids are teens and early 20's and LAUGH that we actually had to BUILD them from kits back in the day. I HAVE SOLD NOTHING, rc 10's, kyosho ultima's, some Losi's etc, im here bcuz im now digging everything back out and am getting back in. I'm subbing you bcuz you have great stuff here. thanks and keep up the good work......
I still have my original from the 80s. I can't believe you can still buy parts and upgrades for them. It sure is a testament to how well designed they were! I'd love to dig mine out and upgrade it to modern standards, someday!
Nice RC10. This November I will be digging my 30 yr old RC10 buggy out & giving it a major over-haul. I'm just not sure if the 30 yr old parts (stealth trans & gear) will be able to handle the brushles motor. I guess I'll find out....
Sorry, but the stock body looks 100 times better. It just shows that if somebody says that something is cool, people will follow and rush out and buy it.
I have that car with all the old stuff that came with it. I also have one just like that. I have one more that is chain driven. Do you know anything about these cars?
I have a A stamp and my original team car and a bit of a mix RC10 that I vintage race. Love the RC10, but I personally like my original buggies 100% original. My racing one gets some after market bling, but my other two are as Associated intended.
Very cool! Now if you could source a set of Team Losi bellcranks, Andy's front arms, MIP trans and A&L trailing arms it'll look just like my RC10 circa 1989 or so. Good times!
I remember guys doing that in the 80's in addition to the rear body pin. Eliminated the hole in the front. Velcro on the sides also had the added benefit of keeping dirt from getting in the tray. :)

Great video! Just seeing that car brings back such cool memories from when I had a couple of these back in the late 80's / early 90's!

The Stealth transmission will the 6 gear original transmission won't.
got mine out and works fine with a brushless! so much fun,
You did alright didn't think you were.. Good build ,would love to get my hands on one to build.

great kit , loved building mine apart from the front lower shocks bind on the a-arms when the front shocks are compressed
your builds are always so nice, kind of jealous
I wish those people over at AE would bring back this rc-10 original tub back in a permanent basis.

Awesome video 👍🏻👍🏻
I've been trying to locate a set of those alloy steering cranks for about two years now without success. Very annoying.

One Stage In The Evolution Of My RC10 Back In 88' Was A Slammed Pink IROC Z With 3 Piece Aluminum Wheels!! Time 2 Get Her Back In The Dirt!!
Beautiful
I actually had a graphite chassis for my rc10 and got rid of that big gold Gaudi thing made it 10 times lighter
Why not use Velcro to hold the body. That's what we did back in 1987

I just got this car and cant find where to get the parts
