It was always funny to me that the aftermarket AE kits (a-la RPM, A&L, Andy's etc) really just made them more like the Losi's of the day (with graphite and plastic, etc). And to your point, we ALL wanted one of those '89 and '91 World's Stealth cars, with the backwards shock tower. Heck, Masami showed up with mid-mounted motor at one event in those days, but I can't remember which one. There were wildly radical, one-off prototype RC-10's out there and sometimes Car Action would just call them an AE, because the cars had no names. MEANWHILE, the Losi family were just playing with the front arms and tower on almost stock JRX-based stuff and later, the ProSE's. Jack Johnson and Kyle Reed were the lone rangers in the middle of an Associated blockade. Sometimes, it was like "Oh look kids, a Schumacher actually made it.....WOOOOOOW...."

Easy-off also removes anodizing from aluminum parts and strips paint from lexan bodies. Ive been using it since the mid 1990s when I read about it in Chris chianelli's tips and tricks in RC car action

I had the pleasure to build one with a brand new chassis, I ran it at the VONATS, and sold it to Scott Puma😁 wish I’d kept it, but I didn’t know any better back then😁
You have an awesome collection or old racers👍

I love the style of body's and hate the new style of body's. I just picked up a black tub chassis and a graphite chassis rc10t trucks for 100 bucks is love to get ahold of a white undied ultra mold some day. Cool car

@@doctormosfet If you're looking for ideas... I looked through your tech videos searching for a comparison of flat arms vs gullwing arms. If I missed one that you've already done can you post a link? I'm getting back into racing and can use all the help I can get. Things have changed a little since I ran my 5-Link JrX2...
      Love your vids!

@@cevinstewart9269 yes, that has been on my list for a while. Just haven't gotten around to it. Basically, gullwing allows you to run a lower ride height for the same shock length, but there may also be some change to the shock geometry which I need to understand more before making a video about it.

@@doctormosfet I asked an old friend who has been designing and selling the most durable aftermarket RC parts since the mid-80s. He says the geometry is the same but that the shock mounts are lower on the arm, which lowers the CG when using a shorter tower. That totally makes sense when I hold the arms up next to each other. It really just lowers the bottom shock mounting position. What effect this has on shock angle during compression and how that affects the shock dampening rate (as posited by some) are unknowns for me.

Not hating on the build but what about the ultra mold tranny case and rear arm mounts. I pretty sure thoes are special to that chassis as well.

Well this does have the RPM 2.65:1 stealth gearbox, which I think is what you are referring to. It also does have RPM rear inner arm mounts, despite my not pointing it out in the video.
