I have done it, it feels a little awkward without having someone with you, but other than that it is the same.
Sometimes there are a single cruiser meet and greet. It is mostly just so u get over the awkwardness of doing things solo.
For him it’s ok coz he’s a vlogger,,,,,,,,,,,but if you’re alone it’s lonely for me,,,,,I need to have a companion,,,,,,two is better than one..
Eh all I have done is solo cruises. They never bothered me much, usually by the end of day one I have random acquittances, and by end of day two I have friends. I have about 3 different group chats I am in from the different cruises I have been on, so I don't truly solo cruise anymore. One person from the group is always going on a cruise, and I have one cruise I can take every year that will have about 6+ people I know on it.
NCL solo cruiser here. I loved it! I stayed in the solo suite with other solo cruisers. We had our own coffee social area with board games. And they arranged dinner for those in the suite to dine together if you chose to do so. I did specialty dining and dressed up for it and a few NCL excursions. The room was spacious, and the bed was super comfy. I'm doing another solo cruise later this year on NCL. I highly recommend them.
I've done 2 solo Caribbean cruises with NCL, and I love the solo studio rooms and the lounge. The solo coordinators were very different on each ship, but were very helpful and always organized dinners for ppl who didn't want to eat on their own.
I just did my 7th solo cruise last week. 11 days on the NCL Prima and the only time I was alone was when I was in my cabin. I cannot imagine sharing my cabin with anyone and I always book a balcony!
I’m looking for a travel companion to go on a cruise and other destinations. I finally have the time and money and I don’t mind being solo, but i think it would be more fun with another person.
Solo cruising is my favorite! Just allows me to do whatever, and not have anyone to watch after.

My last two solo cruises were on Allure - she’s my absolute favorite of all the ships!! And I love that it does not have the Abyss Slide blocking the views of the Boardwalk balconies to the Aquatheatre and wake view. FYI, you can cross the entire ship on Deck 8 thru Central Park if you want to bypass the main promenade traffic. 😁

Kyle you have been on enough cruises already. Upon boarding get food immediately as they close them for the drills and many have weird hours on embarkation day afternoon .

hey kyle! amazing video as always, im mid way watching your video and about your compaints of the lack of outlets, my parents and i are frequent cruisers and we always and i mean always, no matter what ship or cruiseline, we always make it a staple to bring a usb/plug hub, where you plug into one outlet and its a hub for up to 20 different usb outlets for phones and other plugs, another thing my dad likes to bring is a mini fan cause sometimes if the ac went out, he has it on hand. (my parents were on board the 2013 carnival triumph fiasco for their 25th anniversary and they learned a lot as to what and what not to bring)! anyways, great video and have a good one!

Sorrento's is so good. There were a couple of times on my last cruise that we just did pizza and drinks instead of the main dining room, and no regrets were had!

You can always book your shows before you board on oasis and icon class ships. Usually like 30 days before.

I cruised solo when I was 19 (Male) am now 74 and I shared a cabin with an American guy we sailed from Venice italy down the Adriatic and flew back to London

kyle, to get a comp’d cruise you kinda need to gamble at least 200 per night. we have been on 3 comp’d ones and that’s kinda the sweet spot. ask JJ cruises for more tips on that.
Went on the allure last February. We loved it.
I been on allure of sea on April of 2023 before when it was in Galveston, Texas. It was a very cool ship. I wish it has slides on it. I was on deck 12 balcony. All of the shows are very awesome. My favorite is the ice show and the water show. Someday I will be on the icon of the sea.
My last Cruise was on princess in the 80s and they were recommending packing suits or tuxes. I'm going on my first solo Cruise in December and I'd like to pack as light as you do, but I don't know what I do on the dress up night
On Allure of the Sea there is an additional outlet under and behind the bed.
Done two solo cruises, a Royal Caribbean from Venice Italy and a P&O from Valletta Malta … loved both, P&O was better, but only coz it rained most of RCL cruise and we missed two ports due to night winds

I’ll be on the final cruise before Allure goes to get refurbished. Feb 3-10, Atlantis Events charter out of Miami then she does a Trans Atlantic crossing to dry dock.
Last year I went on Mariner of the seas like a month after you did and this year I’ll be going on Allure about a month after you again lol.
I have thought about taking a solo cruise, so thanks for sharing your experience.

Just know if u book a smaller shop there is not as much to do. But do what you want

My first ever cruise was on the Allure...loved it ...did the Harmony after that (another Oasis class ship). Then went on a nice size Celebrity ship (Eclipse). After that i wont go on anythig but an Oasis class. And of course im gonna get on that Icon...cant wait.

Fun fact! Most rooms on most ships have a hidden outlet by or behind the bed for those requiring medical devices for sleep(cpap or ….)

I’d say the pool deck is the only spot that looks different and might need a bit of a refurbishment. The rest of the ship looks great like you said. Thank you for the solo cruise info - I am wanting to go more but have been nervous about it
Kyle, next time check the plug for the lamp. I don't need both. Usually they are EU plugs, I bring a EU to US adapter to have my phone/tablet on bedside table.
