😂 Wow!!! Ben and David, that was a quick one hour ten minutes! I was enjoying this cruise thoroughly. I never saw such a variety of seafood on the buffet before... I doubt that will continue after the inaugural period ends. There was a comfortable number of passengers aboard, but I don't want to imagine what another 2,000 people would feel like. Enjoy the rest of your cruise, guys. 😊
It's too big, it's too impersonal. It's the stuff of nightmares! Why would you do it? I just don't understand how this can be a holiday and to join a facebook group too! It's just all too much.
Great vid, not sure how I feel about the giant shopping mall at sea look in the main areas though. (Oh, and for future reference, that was a lovely chop off a rack of lamb, not a leg. That handle is a rib)

the touch screens are really bad from a accessibility pov, it will be horrible for blind cruisers!!!!!
A follow-up cruise on IOTS in a year or two would be interesting to see how standards are maintained.
Yeah, I highly doubt the buffet will look anything like it does now in about 9 months time. All the nice, expensive food will be replaced with lower cost options for sure.
@@mike07646I mean maybe but RCCL really does an awesome job of maintaining there ships. Allure of the seas which is like 13 years old (I think?), the buffet still had very rich and nice options. And all of the paint was nicely maintained, the only stuff that looks wore out was the fake rocks in mini golf prob cuz many people have touched it. Other than that, everything looked like the ship was only months old.

Just wanted to chime in and say thank you for producing such a joyful, positive and FUN channel!! The Icon seems to be a bit more people-y than I prefer (I used to love the old RC ships like Majesty of the Seas) but I love seeing the two of you experience the ship and all it has to offer. Ben & David's enthusiasm is infectious. I felt like this when I did a cruise onboard Oasis, the world's biggest ship, at the time. (Glad that the show had a REAL orchestra).

I sailed Icon second week Feb3-10 at 60 percent occupancy . Great ship as I love new and BIG! One negative was Hooked. Fishy entree. Both of us agree wasn’t as good as other oasis class ship. However, Chops was outstanding!!! Crew was fabulous, attentive and really happy to be on this ship! Wizard of Oz, ice show and Aqua show 5 star plus. I agree really pricy. Ocean balcony 14 floor 5700 for two. Standard room
These megaships aren’t for me personally, but, your enthusiasm is contagious and it’s lovely to see people so happy with their holiday ship. Really enjoy your videos

I just love the "realness" of you both. I was on the Explorer of the Seas as we passed by the Icon as we left the port. It is HUGE! I had no desire to try it, but after watching your reviews it may have to go on the bucket list. I've watched many cruise reviews and I love you guys the BEST! Hope to see you in the future!

Love this! I do wish they would rethink the balloon drop as an event. Maybe replace with music and light show? Balloons are such an environmental disaster that it’s sad to think all their ships drop them when they sail out. Love your programmes!🎈

I've been obsessed with IOTS since the rumours first started a few years back. I've watched so many videos.
Just wanted to say that not all cruise channels are created equal, but yours is TOP TIER.
The two of you are personable, informative, enthusiastic , real and funny.
Also, the pace of your videos are great. Just enough balance between the things mentioned above, but not too much where it becomes tedious, unnecessary or unrelatable.
Your love and knowledge of cruising shows and as a viewer (who has never been on a cruise.....bucket list incomplete) I very much appreciate going virtual cruising with you both.

Oh, came back to add I found out about your channel because of the Tips For Travellers channel (which I watch a lot) who said complementary things about your channel in their "ship within a ship" video.
It seems like the bigger the ships get you really have to keep on top of making reservations for everything. To me that makes taking a cruise on this ship more stressful so not exactly the relaxing vacation I want….

I was SO excited to see you guys on the Brightline train - I recently took that train after a cruise I took from Fort Lauderdale to get myself to Miami, and I was just SO SO impressed by it!
Looking at the ship, great video - I was so overwhelmed walking into Symphony of the Sea's main promenade - I can only imagine what it felt like walking on there and seeing the Pearl!!

Again in my opinion people shouldn't be put in different groups and labels etc. We are plainly all humans, respect, peace and love. Put love out there, someone said "what you think about you bring about"? Surely it's worth seeing if it's true. Every one put positivity including what we say and think, for a month just saying. Ben and David spread so much love and happiness. Love, Peace, Love and respect to all
FYI I’m subscribed to 3 cruise channels that have queer folk as the hosts! I am straight and quite frankly I watch these channels for their brilliant content . Couldn’t care less what their sexual preferences are- just not that important in the modern world.

Nice job, but lets see what the ship really feels like at full capacity. Sadly, I believe most spots at the overlook will be taken be chair hog by 10 AM. Hopefully RC can post signs that left items over 30 minutes will be removed and sent to lost and found.
Cruise ship bufffets used to be like that 25 years ago. Now you would be lucky to see a prawn.

As I have a problem with heights, I avoid heights( and glass lifts) For me it is terrible shame that modern architecture often involves glass and deep drops. Lire is too short to do things you hate,also self preservation

I have been nursing this video like high proof daiquiri and i finally got to the Stef part. Yay, Stef!
Everyone has likes and dislikes. However I find it odd that anyone would dislike for being “too big”. You dont need to navigate entire ship. Find explore places you like and don’t venture any farther. This ship gives many choices not saying you have to see every inch of the ship. Unlike Ben and David it’s their job to show you all of the spaces and you decide, personally I was on this ship and explored many decks throughout the week . I found it to be big yes very big but not overwhelming .
it's true, you don't need to explore the entire ship to have a great time. Finding your favorite spots and sticking to them is a good strategy.

Thank you so much for posting, I love your energy and so happy you had a wonderful experience. But for me, and I'm sure I'm in a minority of one, I think the ship is hideous. I feel I am a century out of time but I love the virtual recreations of the old Ocean liners, like the Titantic and Olympic, where even the Third class is something so special, and the promenading on the different decks is just so beautiful. But as I say, I must be just an Edwardian girl out of time,
Great vid guys. You are so fun to watch. I was wondering if you have to go thru the kid area to get to the adult area? The whole ship looked fun, HOWEVER, I can't imagine several hundred (thousand?) screaming kids running amok in that slide area. The food looked wonderful and I love that you were honest enough to let us know that the food may not be as good after the first few cruises. I'm with you Ben, I would pay extra if they kept the higher quality food. Food and shows are the main draw for us. Too old and decrepit to do the slides😊

Lobster at a Windjammer lunch? Yes you will not see that again or some high ticket food items shown. They really added many premium items normally not at the Windjammer lunch or dinner.
