So all configuration decisions should be made based on the characteristics of the computer onto which the new OS is to be installed?

will like to see a tutorial for x58 in catalina or big sur ...can be done with clover?opencore is still very confussing..and no gui like clover at boot
Your guides are awesome and so clear and concise. TQ. One question... After checking, my processor is apparently a coffee lake. So I've set up my EFI folder with SSDTs for a coffee lake, but the bootup hangs at a certain spot. After some experimenting, I found my bootup works with SSDTs for a Sky Lake instead. I now have Big Sur installed. But any idea why this is happening? Thanks.
@@Himmelstrutzable lol I LOVE Macs but they are just too expensive for me. I would definitely buy them if I use them for business.
Just use the Coffee Lake setting on OC GenX and the Opencore Coffee Lake guide.
@@miken8368 Thanks... Already tried with OC GenX but didn't work for me. But what difference would it make? OC GenX just makes it easier by collecting the kexts and drivers. You still need to download the SSDTs manually. Big Sur is installed and working now. I'm just wondering if I'm losing out on any performance by using Skylake SSDTs instead of CoffeeLake ones.
Thank you so much. Quick question. This looked like a clean install onto your HD. How would I upgrade my Ryzentosh to Big Sur Without loosing all of the apps/data I currently have? Thank you!
Best bet back up everything with a external hdd
Hi Technolli, how are you? I was watching your video many times, but I couldn't boot the pendrive. It always gives a black screen with red letters, and does not load the installation. I already use Catalina, and I really want to use Big Sur on my Haclintosh. My motherboard is a gigabyte b75m g3h, I use an intel i3 processor and the graphics card is the onboard intel HD2500. Could you help me with this, please? Thank you in advance!
