I used to own a car very similar car to that. Bought brand new with 7 miles on the clock in 1993 from Burgess Ford Keighley in West Yorkshire , Escort 2 door coupe 1.8Lx in Aquafoam blue , Bluestone fabric interior reg no K577 JUM lots of memories for me here Johnny, splendid job as always sir. 👍👏👏
@@E92M3Guy That’s awesome! You don’t fancy a trip down memory lane by purchasing this one then?!
Another beautiful job making a vehicle like brand new like it's just come out of the showroom. FANTASTIC.
Great job, nice attention to details as usual, and professionally considerate in keeping it as original as possible, excellent value for money. 👍🏼
Thank you. Hopefully she finds her way to a new home soon!
Great job as always Johnny. Well done pal!
Wow Johnny superb job as usual, keep the good work up.
Nice job, love the ford badge.
Great work as always Johnny, well done. I wish you very well with the sale. Thank you for sharing.
@@michaelhynds8035 thanks Michael 👍
Cracking job once again Johnny Boy, you've kept it in as original spec as possible, some lucky buyer is really going to enjoy this superb little Drophead. I definately agree with your opinion, that if looked after, by the next owner, and kept in this beautiful rust free condition, it will increase in value. keep up the good work, can't wait for the next car.
Thank you!
As always Johnny, you've put the hard graft in & made the car look a gem. Although it is strange seeing it with the 14's back on, keeps it totally original & it will be great investment for the new owner. Classic Fords are really going up in value. Thanks for the vlog 👍🏻
@@andyh1917 Thanks Andy, if this one doesn’t sell (which seems unlikely at the moment), I guess I wouldn’t be too upset to add this one into the collection and see where values are in a few years!
What a lovely little motor. Came out very nice, that interior is stunning too.
@@SA-zoom1 the interior was one of the main things that attracted me to this car actually. I can’t recall the last time I saw an original, undamaged SI interior prior to this!
Those Before, cleaned, painted shots are really nice!
And also; something like a Blaupunkt 200 radio would almost look stock in older cars, and even have BT for future projects. :-)
Thanks! Just had a look at the Blaupunkt 200 - that’s awesome! I’ll have to keep that in mind the next time I’m doing a 90s restomod that needs a stereo!
I really wouldn’t get any work done if I had a dog who looked at me like that wanting to play 😊
Give that manifold heat shield some paint. Looks lovely and sympathetically improved though now.
Edit you sorted it later lol 🤣
Top class job Johnny.
As always, great job dude :)
Great job. Unfortunately I already have a yellow and two would look like bunch of bananas on my drive way. I think you have priced very competitive. Good luck in selling it
Thank you. With cars like this I try not to take the mickey on price as it’s nice to let them go onto to someone else who can enjoy it as well as see some growth in their investment sooner rather than later!
What a beauty. Nice to have a close up of your doggo too, as he looked down the lens of the camera. Like you said that car wants for nothing oh other than a new owner which shouldn’t take long. Good price too in my opinion if someone is looking for a convertible Ford.
@@recreativesigns4571 Thank you! I don’t think this one will hang around but I’ll hold off advertising it for a while yet in the hope that a viewer buys it first!
What a gem. ❤
What a beauty 😍
That front end does look high Johnny, but bloody lovely motor none the less
Bargain summer motoring right there
The front has settled a tad, but I know what you mean. I can only go off of the measurements and as they are coming in to correct spec I’ve just got to roll with it! It’s a lovely thing for sure!
@@JohnnyGetsCash oh fosho it is 👍🏼
What an original car, well done a super job. May I ask what the 2 blanking grommets are at the top of the A pillars?
Thank you. RE the blanks, would you believe that these are for a roof rack?! I wasn’t sure initially but if you search for ‘escort cabriolet roof rack’ you will see what I mean. Ford really did want this to be a great all rounder!
Johnny you’re an awesome bloke 🎉
Thanks for watching!
I shall await your call my Lord ❤
Great overall job John 👏 👍 😊
Excellent job 😎
Just an inch too high at the front 😉
It is still settling, but I know what you mean. When I first fitted the fronts I thought it looked really goofy but it has continued to settle and whilst the height measurements are where they should be I’ve just got to roll with it! I think going from 17’s with coilovers back to stock springs with 14’s has also played tricks with my eyes!
@@JohnnyGetsCash 👍

@@paulhughes7585 😂 Thanks very much!
Police in the background. At £5,995, even they know it’s a steal 😂
@@johng7304 This is a prime example of a short term flip that should’ve been kept as a long term investment!
@@JohnnyGetsCashyou’ve convinced yourself there to keep it
Who ever is gonna buy this is getting a hell of a bargain
I like to think I’ve pitched it cheap enough for someone to enjoy it but also benefit from the growth in value sooner rather than later!
Always good content 👍🏽🇸🇪 If you grow please don’t buy a supercar like all the others 😁
I will almost certainly deal more with supercars and the like over the coming months and years but don’t worry - I will always have an involvement with the more down to earth and ordinary cars such as this!
For the love of God, throw the bloody toy! 🐶
@@philcross1057 timelapse doesn’t do it justice, I throw the toy constantly!
It looks way to high
Because it's on its original suspension
The front looks higher than standard too...
@@martynrollinson probably because they r brand new suspension and needs bedding in abit like every other brand new suspension
The new fronts did look high for sure but this is partly because we’ve just been looking at the car on coilovers and partly because the new standard springs and shocks are totally fresh (the old units had 31 years of fatigue on them remember!)
The new kit has continued to settle and now is pretty much where I would visually expect it and the ride measurements are all within tolerance so I’m happy to call it a job done 👍
These are the only cars working after a solar storm...
