- Whats up guys,
Quick whip through how I ported and polished my M65 Eaton supercharger for my soon to be twincharged W203 Mercedes.
Very easy process with the car making a much throatier intake note and throttle response is considerably better. I personally ported and polished my M65 to reduce as much flow restriction as possible for the GT30 turbo I'll be using to twincharge the M271.
Check my library for start up and other sound clips of the car running.

Great content! Keen on seeing more from this project as I'm also the process of a twincharging build myself. Saved the M65 from my W203 C230k before she was brought off to the wreckers, and now her soul will live on in my Volvo C30!
I'll post up the 1/4 mile videos soon! She took about 15 minutes to get down the quarter with the stock tune haha it's good to have the times for comparison against stock with bolt ons Vs. a tune and the the twin charged setup though
Hello Linkin, newer supercharger in W204 Mercedes uses a throttle bypass valve controlled electrically by a ECM or ECU. When you switch M65 unit into your Volvo did you put in a vacuum operated bypass valve instead of a ECM controlled up. Which have a better control or better usability. Regard.
Can I replace the pulley, mine is making a lok of noise
@@paradisechef9131no
Ah nice, you showed me how to get the pulley off. I searched everywhere but could not find on how to remove it. I am planning to upgrade it to a smaller one so i can generate more power
I was in the same boat not knowing how to pull it off!! Just took a chance and boom.. we got it!
@@Carls_Built smaller pulley give you more power??porting is worth?
@@mygoalcrash8077 porting is good for bigger airflow and better throttle response. On it's own it doesn't add any substantial power
Great video Carl. Brisbane boy done good. Well Done.
Cheers mate, appreciate that!!
The other option would be to plate the input side, drill a hole and add your new input 90°, add a BOV to the recirculating pipe and now it sounds like a real car with boost!
Quick question where would I drill the hole?
Hello, nice article, you didn't say if the car has improved in acceleration or have you gained on the sprints since the greater work was done on the exit, in theory you should have less pressure but fresher air or not?
Hey amazing work, miniding to do the same on mine! Can't wait to see your results
I'll have to upload a recent video of the noise she makes now.. such an intense whine!! how they should all sound haha
Great work,do you know anyone in Europe to make porting and polish as you because I don’t know anyone.
Thanks in advance
Interesting video & project. Do you feel a difference in acceleration from just the supercharge work?
Definitely, she's,a lot louder too. I have a test and tune 1/4 mile at willowbank this Saturday the 27th so will see how,she performs on the stock tune
@@Carls_Built Cool, I'd be interested to know the outcome 👍
How in the bloody hell did you get the pulley off so easy, im at a point considering to just cut the pulley off
Good afternoon friend! I'm from Brazil and here it's kind of complicated to maintain the superchargers! I have a mercedes w203 c230 kompressor 2004, do I have to change the oil in the suspercharger and clean it? Does the supercharger have a useful life???
its been some time ive been researching how to cover the ports myself and want to avoid welding how did this technique hold
Do you have the specs of how big you can go in the porting? I'm looking to to port the Eaton supercharger on my slk230 but having a hard time finding any answers of the best size to go.
Thank you
How is that permatex holding up? I heard that and quicksteel works good. I'm trying to decide on witch one to get.
Permatex is holding up good! I sold the car awhile ago and the whole setup is still thriving haha
Hello, how did u removed the plastic silencer from the front part of supercharger, that one part with the plastic thingy holded by 5 T25 screws
you dont belong in the engine bay if youre calling things thingys lol
@@andrescabrera8058 give it a name than, smartass
A fine work. 👌👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey! Any progress on twin charging the M271 engine?
what result did you see after this porting? because I would like to do the same in mine!!
have you found removing the baffle made much difference to the drivability? any loss of acceleration from low ram?
The car recieved so much work all at the same time, but i found she was far chrisper on the throttle after all of it was complete.
The best mod hands down was the throttle controller!! I couldn't recommend this enough.. it'll change your world haha! Fairly cheap too 👍
@@Carls_Built Can you tell about this mode? (mod hands down was the throttle controller!! ) ??? thanks
Hi! how much percentage gain from porting?
and psi? :)
How much more HP u got from this?
Did you ever do the twincharger? I run the exact same supercharger on my twincharged aw11 mr2, I feed it with a gt2871 turbo, no bypasses apart from a external wastegate used to release pressure on the throttle body on gear change as I run my throttle body post supercharge. True compound twincharge, goes hard, massive power band.
Did my 1st twincharger in 2007, used the original sc12 roots supercharger until I changed to the m65 (m45 really in a different casing) in 2015.
Yo! I'm in the planing process of a very similar setup on a 4g63 powered van.
How early does your turbo spool? By my calculations with the supercharger running at a pressure ratio of 1.8, I'll be spooling a gt3582r by 2500rpm. 😅
@@matthewallison7604 hi mate. Yeah I'm not sure to tell you the truth. I'm not one for math and calculations. Haha
It spools damn fast! If anything it's probably too small being a T2 .64 a/r for making huge power, but I am after torque and quick acceleration so it works well for me.
Mines full compound setup with turbo feeding the supercharger, no bypasses or clutches.
@@feral4mr2 Great stuff! Thank you for your reply, it's been really difficult finding real life examples of these compound setups I'm honestly surprised they aren't more common.
I'm not great with math either 😅 so it's great to hear I can probably get away with a much smaller turbo.
@@matthewallison7604 the reason I believe they aren't common as much is because people sprout 🐂💩 that they're hard to do and get running right. Try to add bypasses and supercharger clutch setups etc that they can't get to operate correctly. When straight compound setup is easy and performs flawlessly.
Sure you can make more HP with a straight turbo setup, but that will never give the power delivery a compound twincharge setup will.
Hi, my mechanic opened up the supercharger apparently to service an actuator. I’d like to ask if it’s necessary to fill up the scanty oil that drained out. If yes, with what oil and where??
I use a 2005 c230 m271 engine
hello the price for this modification?
THX
To remove the baffle do u have to take the intake manifold off
is it possible to replace the m62 with an m65 on r171 200?
Esse é um m45
Yes sir, I had 2009model c200 kompresor, troble code p0045, its says supercharger boost control solenoid circuit A open, can plz help me out, where is it exactly the boost control solenoid circuit A open, tnx
Hi! So that'll be your boost control solenoid!! Heres a link with pictures which will show where and how to test it out man:
www.youcanic.com/guide/mercedes-turbo-supercharger-wastegate-solenoid-replacement
Thank you very much sir ,but they have deferent engine, mind is m271 2009model c200 kompresor
So how does one refill the supper charger my guy thanks ?
can you plug the holes without taking out the rotors?
Would 10/10 recommend pulling the rotors, it's not that difficult either
@@Carls_Built ill have to change the oil though right?
What tool did you use to pull the pulley out?
Hey mate, I used a butane torch first to heat the pulley and then just a regular 3 finger bearing puller, you can get on eBay pretty cheap 👍
@@Carls_Built Thanks for answering. May I know the size of the puller you used?
How much boost do these kompressors make stock?
How was it doing the timing chain?
First time doing one.. Pain in my ass haha! Now that i've done it.. its actually very easy. Three tools you NEED: Chain breaker tool, Chain link tool and cam locking tool. I used a motorcycle chain breaker and link too (far cheaper the MB) and used an ebay cam lock tool man. Also check you have the right sized socket to the serpentine belt auto tensioner too, its a big bastard
Not sure if i got you right but you done this without an ECU tune, sadly this will blow your engine up, do an ecu tune the moment you are done
Well I dare say your wrong on the tune aspect. AFR are good and on the stock tune the ecu has managed very well so for after months of daily driving and beating on too.. Not sure where you got the idea no tune will kill an engine in this situation?
No worries about the tuning... It self learning... Increase the parameters should do... Extra powers
@@Carls_Built actually these cars has recirculation flap, very similat like throttle body, that can cut out all your boost. Ecu is calibrated to control maximum boost. Do you run dyno test? I can say, that you gain on stock car is only better throttle response and some mid range torque, but not Peak power. The map sensor can easy detect pressure overboost and tell ecu to open recirculation flap more agressively, that means more air are moving out.
is it same for 211?
Yep, still the same deal 👍
I have on my w203 a noise from the engine when I accelerate. What is this?
Look up supercharger whine and see if it's the same sound.
Good job but that supercharger has a lot of meat to be removed
filming too low !
lol
Why is he mumbling , cant hear a word
maybe you’re just slow
Would this charger suit a w202 mercedes c180?
