It's so awesome coming back 2 these races after many yrs. Most races I can't recall who won so it's like rewatching it again for the 1st time. Like, the '02 Mtn Dew Southern 500. I just watched it yest as I'm watching the complete '02 season & I was so amped up watching it like it was live tv on present day. TYVM to uploaders like YOU & TY for pre-race show, Count-Down-to-Green! 🏁🏆👍❤
Unbelievable racing between Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman! Even though there was Aero Push back then they still put on amazing racing and great battles for the win. Something that doesn't happen all too often these days.
1:06:22 who thought it would be a good idea to replace mike skinner's starting grid picture with that? It looks like he got his head caught in an air-fryer.
If that incident between Tony Stewart and the track safety worker happened today, Tony would have been fined, put on probation, and the safety worker would have gotten a $100,000 settlement.
I've never seen a NASCAR race, shortened by rain, finish when the cars were not sitting on pit road under red. I thought only IndyCar could finish a race while cars were still rolling and they wave the checkered early.
(dmetl) #492 - first time I realized that the challenge at the Loudon track lies in the fact that the track is so flat ... 320th race I've ever watched ... 120th on the net

Last 30 laps were amazing.
Now this race is on NASCAR’s RUclips channel.
Excellent racing between Newman & Busch during the last 35 laps or so

I miss Benny.
Good racing there ty
Ryan Newman's first win, but also his only win in a Ford (he has driven Dodge and Chevy ever since)
Thanks for spoiler.
He has since returned to Ford after joining RFR. Has yet to score a win with them, though...

Anyone got any links to some raw satellites feeds from NBC in the early 2000's?
I think they stop doing the satellite feeds at this time once the networks became centralized

Never knew biffle drove the 55 car for apr. Thought he was roush all the way.
He filled in for Bobby Hamilton who got hurt in a Truck Race at Richmond - Bif also drove it in The Cup Race as well
@@JJA1987 turns out he also started a few races for petty enterprises in the 44 car in 01..... Didn't know that either til I saw it.

That was a good battle between Ryan Newman and Kurt Busch late in the race and that isn't something you at NHMS often.
58:02 What’s Going on???
The announcer asked Marlin if he was quitting, cmon lol
2:26:52 Aflac! Lmao jk not till 2003

(dmetl) #493 - might be about the 8th Loudon I've ever seen ... seriously folks ... only 8
Sterling would have won the title if he not have been hurt that year
I doubt it - Others were catching even if the neck injury didn't happen
