What if the same cop saw a brick of cocaine or an infant left alone on the front seat of the car that the auditor was filming? The "plain view" doctrine would then allow him to arrest the owner when he shows up to drive away. I am sorry but this is suspicious berravior recording a police station, says he was walking but want's to stay there, the ID is probably is to check on the system if you have a warrant or anything like that. Like its not a public park its a place where they work and its not uncomon to police get attacked no ID means they don't know who you are or even if you are someone dangerous and doing the "i can do what i want" both are wrong here, i think the guy did that to get this reaction from cops.
That first Officer is embarassingly clueless. Then the Sargent comes along and shows us why the first Officer knows nothing about the law. Another example of a beautician’s license is tougher to qualify for than serving in the NYPD.
Seeing the black officer shaking his head, yes, is frustrating!! If a white cop did this to he and his friends (while out of uniform) they would quickly call racism.
I’ve been nodding (not shaking) my head at the comments I’ve been reading until now. Why are you even bringing up a black officer and insinuating that his color gives him privilege? Talk about clouding the issue and introducing racism overtones. Please stick to what’s happening, which is bad enough without clouding the issue.

I just feel like someone who looks like me should NEVER choose to do this. My father looked just like Lt. Angel, my mother was darker than the officer who came out with him and I am darker than the officer who started this nonsense. If a cop did that to my son and it was any one of them, I would be upset because they KNOW BETTER!!! Making up lies and going on about looking in cars is wrong and can be discriminating!! If any one of them were out of uniform and a yte cop suggested what they did, they would call it (the r word).
