Given that all Sims games have had some form of bugs and glitches that were never fully fixed before the next game was started, I would not race out to pre order Project Rene. I would advise anyone interested in it to just sit back and wait a few months after release to see if the game is actually worth it.
I won't abandon Paralives I'll give all my support to survive, I need a life simulation, The Sims 4 can be lots of thing, a house builder game, a character creator, but a life simulation it's not one of them. TS3 and TS2 live rent free on my SSD.
From all the new and upcoming life simulation games (inZoi, Little Sim World, Mirthwood, Paralives, Project Rene, Tiny Life, To Pixelia, Vivaland) Paralives is, by far, the one I am wanting to play the most. I was never interested in Life by You but I was still sad that one got cancelled because most of what we have are farming sims and we honestly need as much variety of new life sims as we can get, I don't know any other gaming genre that has so few games.
I was sad about LBY despite wanting Paralives too but mostly because a project that people were so passionate about was cancelled and the game devs ended up jobless.
I think EA is making a big mistake with not developing a Sims 5. Technology has changed and improved in the past 10 years and if they took their time and make a single-player sims game with a strong foundation instead of the slapped-together foundation that the Sims 4 has, the Simmers would most likely reinvest. Project Rene appears to be the "realization" of their original goal with Sims 4, which was intended to be an online game, which is why it was so shallow when it was released and missing so many features that the Sims community expected from a Sims game. I feel most Sims players aren't all that interested in playing their game with others. They tend to be introverts and interested in creating their own worlds and THEN sharing what they have done with others who have the same interest in the game. This seems to be something that EA is overlooking. Roblox has successfully managed to be multiplayer and EA might attract Roblox players to the game, but probably not nearly as many Sims 4 players as they expect to. I'm really looking forward to Paralives, and I believe my expectations are managed adequately. I just want to see what the game does have to offer and see how it grows and expands over time.
I've been a paralives patreon for about a year now, and I still look forward to their Friday post every morning. 🥰 Thanks for your informative videos! ❤

The Sims won't be ended by other games, and yes it will take The Sims to END the Sims. Looking at the projection from EA, they are well on their way to do that to themselves. That being said, I have more faith in Paralives. They know what they want, what they'll add later. So they are fine with free DLC provided the base game sells well.
@@westanimesims Absolutely, whatever they have planned for the future of the sims franchise feels like the death of the “traditional life sim” era at the very least. Hopefully Paralives and other life sims will become the pioneers in a new era of life simulation.

I don’t see it being something people go back to in the long run. Unless it’s for building mode, the gameplay looks pretty mediocre imo.
I think it will come out , but not the way we expected it to be , it’s going to be its own type of gameplay but not a « sims 4 replacement » , even tho the free dlc thing it sounds too sweet to be true , I trust their generosity and their motivation to make that game, I believe we had so much deception that we don’t believe in something great anymore.
I believe there’s still lots of people that will still play ts4 but also a whole new community of Paralives players because of its authentic vibe and the fact that like you said they won’t have to paid tones of things and just enjoy a cute gameplay.
Sure. This game with dreadful graphics, made by people who only worked with phone gemes and made in a free Unity3d engine will survive
It looks fine, lol. Hyper realism is overrated anyway. I like the art style.
ofc they will compete, early access or not
