I have worked on dozens of these units over the years. Specially PLL issues. Yes these have dual 10.2XX oscillators. Truly a pain in the rear to work on. My stand by unit went out of lock a few months ago and have to repair it, plus the one you mentioned that has beat me up for a year. Guess I need to find me another stand by lol. Mike I commend anyone that has to repair these.. GHood job.
Thanks Mike very much for doing both this and the BK 1040 for me. The 2040 is in the Black Hard box I bought your radios over in and both instruments fly home with me on the 10th of July. Cheers talk soon COOL DRIVE COMMUNICATIONS QUEENSLAND AUSTRALIA
Like what they use in Germany. I spent 12 years in Germany. My Dad was in the Army. He has a lot of stereo gear that is 110/220 and we used to have TV and such that where NTC/PAL etc....We had a ton of brownish/gold hammer-tone paint and they weights a ton the transformers! LOL
230v/50Hz single phase here in Australia is standard everywhere. In factories we also use 415v 3 phase.

Mike I have a radio guy that wants a 2040 and can't find one. If you want to off load one of your spares.
Can you recommend a signal generator for CB radio work? Thanks and have a good day.
