This was a very fun video. To answer your question though. Nooo Only Growth! Haha I also have a significant GAS problem. I'll try to get a few by format. Medium - GFX-50s, Phase One DF and DF+, Aptus 22, P45 Full Frame - A7 III, 1Dx, 1Ds, 1Ds II, 5DC, 5D2, A99, D600, D800, D3s APSC (or H)- X-T1, X-T3, D200, D80, K3, K5, Rebel XT, 30D, 40D, Fuji S3 Pro, D1x, Kodak DCS 760, Kodak DCS 720 Four Thirds or Micro Four Thirds - E-1, E-300, E-420, E-PL2, E-PL10, E-M5, GH4 Film - AE1, Canon F1, Nikon F2, EOS 1N, 630, FTb, a crazy number of point and shoots. That's all I can remember off the top of my head haha but luckily I've documented a bunch on my own channel so I don't need to remember em all!
Same problem here! Film I have a Olympus Trip 35 and a nondescript Canon Rebel. Full frame, a Panasonic S5. 1", a Nikon J1 and a J5. M43 Panasonic: GM1, GX-80, G9 M43 Olympus: E-PM2 (silver, IR converted), E-PL2 (black), E-PL6 (red), E-PL9 (gorgeous denim blue), E-PL10 (white), Pen F (silver), E-M1, E-M1 mk II M43 misc.: Z-Cam E1, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (original) My s tier ones, dearest to my heart, are the GM1, the denim blue E-PL9 and the Pen F. On my radar are the GM5 and the pink GF7 ❤
My camera collection is starting to get ridiculous.... But I can't bring myself to sell them which is starting to be a problem... 2 x Lumix G6, Sony a5100,Fuji XA7,X20,Samsung nx500,nx2000,Sony rx100mk1,rx100mk2,zv1, and a ton of lenses ....can never bring myself to sell them because when I do sell them I wish I hadn't .....
Nice collection! You probably could do with relieving some of that G.A.S. though ... May I recommend F.A.R.T.I.N.G. (Freezing Accounts and Reducing The Influx of New Gear)?
I got a decent E-M5 for $125Cdn. and then I found another E-M5 which was sold as-is with a 4/3rds 50mm f2 macro lens and 4/3 to m4/3 adapter (Olympus MMF2). The camera, lens and adapter cost me $20Cdn, no not 200, but 20! The glass cover on the EVF was broken and the camera had been left for years so it no longer keeps the time and date when you change batteries but... everything else works and there were only 7200 shutter actuations and shows no error codes. So now I have a silver and a black model for $145 Canadian! I occasionally get lucky. Great video and Have a Happy New Year!
I'm definitely a hoarder: film and digital, collectibles, repair projects (including hopeless cases). I once bought a camera described as "old camera" in the "everything else" category on ebay, just to see what it was (Voigtlaender Bessa 6x9, which does work!). I accidentally bought a Fujica G670 from France, just curious what it was going for. A wonderful camera, but I really need a 2AM cutoff for internet activities. And I bought a Mamiya 6 - the old folder - from Rajastan, just so I could say I did. It really does look like it spent decades in the desert. The ones I actually carry around are almost invariably Olympus: usually an E-M5 (lusting for a Mk II), although I have an inherited XA in the bag at present. I'm also partial to old rangefinders, and have a Fuji X-E1 that I bought specifically for my vintage Pen F lenses in my "alternate" bag. That combination is so much fun!
I love your camera rankings/mini reviews’ videos and write your suggestions in a notebook. Did you take photography at school, or did your Dad teach you? You are a natural at all things photography. Looking forward to seeing your 2025 videos.
I've had my Lumix GM1 for 10 years now, I thought it was breaking down at one point and stumbled across your channel while doing research on it and have since added a Olympus OM5 and Pentax Q to my collection based on your recommendations...love a tiny camera! Probably more to come 😆
I have a G7 (my first camera), a GH5II, and a GM5. I also have a Sony A7SIII. I want to get an EM5-II or III because it's such a beautiful camera. I don't think it's possible to be satisfied with the amount of cameras you have. Don't even get me started on lenses. Oh and I love all your colorful cameras.
Enjoyed the video. I use a photo sharing website called Pbase and this records the cameras we’ve used. Since I opened my account with them in 2005 I have uploaded photos with 68 different cameras. Probably have about 25 still in my possession-mostly micro43, Nikon z full frame and aps-c. Best wishes, John.
Hey Emily, don't worry or make excuses for your collection. They make you happy and really don't take up that much space. Why do photographers fret about G.A.S...?! We envy rock stars with guitar or keyboard collections, or a warehouse full of drum kits! G.A.S is just having things you like, if you want. Be GASsy, be happy. 😊
I thought I was bad but yeah Emily, you win the award for the most symptoms for "small-camera-itis"! We do share a devotion to our GM5s...and I too own two different OM-1 film cameras. That camera and the Nikon FE2 started my film journey for me back in the early 2000s. I still use the lenses on my digital cameras with an adapter. Great video!
Come on Pentax... you know you want to bring back the Q series with a new body with a new sensor, modern image processing, maybe an EVF and some new lenses. I would love a dedicated Q model 00 macro lens because extension tubes don't work well on the Q series. I think a modernized Q camera with better low light, better video capabilities, bluetooth mic support, and some new lenses, etc would be absolutely amazing.
That's quite a collection. I'm actually surprised at the lack of GX1, GX85, and a6000s in your list. Those were prolific at the time and many people including myself still have them. Also, I have an LX10 that I bought new a few years ago for about 400 USD and it's one of my favorite cameras. The small size, excellent lens, and great image quality make it wonderful for those that like small cameras. Totally worth the price IMO. Same goes for the LF1, man I wish they would make an LF2.
Thank for making me feel better. I thought I had a G.A.S. problem but after seeing this, I feel I'm a healthy individual with an expensive hobby. My first serious camera was a Minolta 3xi (which I still have) a good 30ish years old. I then had other Minoltas through to Sony's up to today with the Sony A7 VI. My problem is lenses I have too many.
Wow Emily, that is quite a collection! I am surprised though that it doesn't include any bridge cameras, such as the Lumix FZ series or the Sony RX10. I guess your starting point was MFT so you didn't need bridge cameras; then the Lumix TZ series came in as travel cameras.
Richo GR3, Leica D-Lux 7 “A BATHING APE", Hasselblad 907X & CFV 100C, Hasselblad X2D, Hasselad 501c, Hasselblad 500 ELM, Mamiya RZ67, Lumix S9, Lumix S5IIx, OM system OM-1 ii, Fuji X-Pro2, Nikon F3. DJI Pocket 3. The everyday camera is Richo GR3. I use the Hasselblad for nature and documentaries, etc. OM System is used for wildlife and travel. Lumix S9 is used for travel with the OM System. Lumix S5 IIx is used to create videos with the DJI Pocket 3.
Great collection. I collect old film cameras myself and always feel the urge to buy more... I think Tickles my camera need buttons will go down in history. Have a happy and healthy 2025.
When you mentioned having FD lenses because they readily adapt to m43, it occurred to me that a video on your m43 adaptation experiences/recommended alternate system lenses might be interesting, if you don't already have one.
The OMD EM-5 V2 is probably my favorite camera of all time. But the GH5 is also high on my list. And I don't have a camera collection, I sell the older ones off to pay for the new ones. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I've got really bad G.A.S. 😊 Added a few to my vast collection recently, a lovely Canon AV-1, a Nikon F404, a Yashica FX-d, a few more film point and shoot cameras including another Olympus Pen ee half frame, already have a mint one. Lots of new M42 mount lenses including my Holy Grail Helios M44 and a carl zeis jenna ddr 135 all nint and all for pennies. I've been mounting them via adapter on my Lumix g3 📷 I'm constantly looking for more!😊
I've never sold any of my gear and sadly I can't often find friends who want or need them, so I have a large collection of cameras, hifi and video gear going back to the erarly 80's. Latest camera was a Canon R5 with 100-500 lens, but I'm itching to get a R5mk2 soon.
Unfortunately, my GAS is much worse, compounded by not getting near the use out of mine that you do from yours. I fell into the rabbit hole of vintage lens acquisition, and most of those come attached to a probably-doesn't-work camera, but that doesn't account for all of my problem! Big Pentax fan, as my first camera (which I still have) was the ME Super, but sadly it does not work. I have quite a few Pentax offerings, film and digital, including the Auto 110 Super, but I still want the Q!
feeling better about the size of my ridiculous collection. I sold my g9 when I got my g9ii and I'm sorry I did. I felt about that camera the way you feel about the gh5. I told myself I was being foolish having sentimental attachment to it and that I wouldn't miss it. I was so wrong. Really wish I kept it, but I sold it to someone who was just getting started and was super excited so maybe it's for the best. Great to see your rundown. Didn't realize you don't own a gh7. Something tells me it's only a matter of time on that one. Or maybe the gh7 isn't necessary for you know that you shoot s5ii for weddings. I feel very torn between adding a gh7 to my kit and sticking 100% mft, or adding a s5ii instead for some variety and low light versatility.
The A5100 is a worthy upgrade from the A5000. The touchscreen itself makes it worth the purchase. It's funny how long Sony deleted that function from their cameras after the A5100 made it's debut. Have a great New Year.
That ranking of the Canon F-1 is brutal, it's an amazing camera. Shame yours is broken though. Is it the part that pulls the film over (take up spool under the advance lever) or the rewind knob/arm? The latter is much easier to replace/fix...
Z cam E1 is technically the smallest m4/3 camera, not the Olympus Air. It was even smaller than the GM1(which I had) from the comparisons I've seen. Might be worth looking into.
Hello Emily, I am definately suffering from G.A.S I have aquired the following digital cameras and about 40 assorted lenses, mostly vintage lenses: Nikon D700, D300s, D2hs & D70s; also Canon 6D, 1ds Mkii, 2 5D classics & a 50D; also Olumpus E1. E3, & E500, also: Minolta 7D, Sony A700, DSC R1, Panasonic Lx7 & a Fuji point & Shoot. I also have several film cameras...So you are not alone...lol
After i watched your video i don't feel I have to much cameras anymore 🙂: Panasonic GM1, Olympus OMD EM10 II silver with handgrip (lovely), Olympus OMD EM1 II, Fuji XE-1, Fuji X-T2, Fuji X-T5, Sony A7 IV, Leica M9 Monochrom, Fuji GFX 50s and several film cameras for example also my reccomendation for you is the Fujica GW 690. I use them all regularly and enjoy them. :-)
Wow, that’s some collection! Probably very justified looking at your channel. I love what you can buy used. I came back to cameras after a 10+ break recently and have a purchased a used XT1, XT30II and A5100. Will need GAS treatment soon I’m sure.
I regularly watch your videos and I love them. I'm MFT curious so this always makes he think I need to add at least one camera... you're not helping me resist that LOL.
Late stage GAS for Oly MFT gear (and some PL lenses). I'm mostly done now. I can't think of anything else I need. I have too many bodies and lenses. I love them all. Now you've got me intrigued by the Pentax Q system. I've bought some gear from Japanese Ebay sellers recently . The items should be here in about 2 weeks.
Hi Emily. I enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work. This video made me think, so I did a bit of a stock take. I have counted 35 cameras in my list. If I remove the drones I am still at 31!!! I got my first camera in 1974, so at least I have been in the game for a while, and this doesn't include cameras that need repair. (which would take the list back to 35!) I regularly use 10 of them, so I suppose the rest are because I like them. I still have my first camera, but film for it can no longer be purchased. I could do a list but would take up too much space. Keep up the good work. Look kindly on my entry into the next photo competition, and I hope my G.A.S. has made you feel a bit better! Cheers from Australia.
while not perfect, particularly since I’ve added a small rig grip, makes for a very good edc, and i even took it out on some family walks recently rather than one of my ilc cameras… while the image quality isn’t as good as aps-c or full frame, its very capable in good light, and passable for low light photos, if not dealing with fast subjects.
I have the G100 and use it almost every day. But the previous owner obviously did not appreciate it: it was in perfect condition and still in its warranty when I bought it. I use the Sony ZV-1 for long videos that don't require long focal lengths.
I started shooting 1972 on Film with a Porst FX4, much later a Nicon F-401, Canon Ixus (unusable, no film) before I switched to digital, starting with Canon Ixus (broken), Ixus 300, Ixus 750. Then Olympus entered my life, E-M10 II (sold), E-M1 II (sold), E-M5 III and Pen E-P7. A short intermezzo with Ricoh GRIIIx (broken after 2 days). Unfortunately one of your videos gave me the idea to buy some Pentax 110 lenses and there was a film camera coming with the lenses. So the Pentax 110 Auto was loaded and used, soon after my old 35mm cameras were used as well. Along came a 1979 Olympus OM-2n and a 1955 Exa and the latest (and greatest) a 1950 Agfa Isolette II medium format folder. EDC is my E-M5 (not the Pen since it's lacking an EVF)
Similar to your Pentax K-r, I got a Pentax K-x because of the color. I used to race lime green Kawasaki KX motocrossers, so I just had to have a lime green Pentax K-x.
With your love of small powerhouses I’m surprised you don’t have any of the Olympus PEN 35mm half frame cameras! They’re tiny jewels of engineering marvels. I have an EES-2 …it fits in the palm of my hand and makes for a great unobtrusive travel camera to bring just for the fun of it. Easier on the wallet with half frame too. Sorry if I stoked your GAS more 😬
Me buying another new camera is a family joke now. I’m seeking total perfection of course which is futile! But I don’t have a big collection as I sell the old ones to fund the new. I wish I hadn’t because I could spend a lot of time just looking at them. Would save me having to do that photography stuff
Nice collection, however, as a sad commentary, I am a retired engineer with a 50 year love of photography and it pains me to say, I have more cameras that you show here. And that is after giving away 10 cameras to family and friends lol. Mostly M43 then APSc and then full frame by the numbers. Love your videos.
Nicely Done. I counted the number of film and digital cameras in my apartment and the count is currently at 94. I would love to get into film photography at some point. I purchased a Nikon S2 last year which I would like to test out. Happy New Year.
Just picked up the Ricoh rz3000 yesterday 😂. The daughter was after another point and shoot film camera after the Olympus mju gave up the ghost…..AUD$250 ouch! 😫
Thanks for a good chuckle today! If you're happy with your collection, that is truly all that counts. Alas, I've yet to find any over-the-counter products for this but I've suffered from the affliction before (so many have and I come by it naturally from my dad, most likely lol). I still like my large gear (ask me in a few years if I feel the same after packing it all in for landscapes/wildlife at my age lol). Do I curse Oly menus? I'll never tell (and no asking wildlife in my region lol)... Rarely, to be honest, but there are those moments... I always enjoy your vids, though. Thanks for sharing and happy New Year, as well!
'Camera delinquency', lol. I still want an olympus air, even if everyone says it's rubbish. Along with a couple of other weird things on that list. What do I have? OM-1 E-M1X OM-5 GX80 GX800 E-PL6 G3 And for film, a Nikon Onetouch AF90(?) that's been used maybe once in the last few decades. 😅 If that's bad, I had a lot of GAS for lenses too. Wildlife lenses, fan favourite lenses, cheap-but-nifty chinese lenses, adapted Canon FD lenses. I won't list them because I can't remember what half of them are, off the top of my head. 😂
The ME Super was my first real camera! The Kr my first real digital. Still got both. Would anyone know how to swap out the internal battery in a Kr? It forgets everything every time I swap battery.... 🥴
I think that collecting cameras (and camera gear) is a legitimate hobby separate to 'taking pgotographs'. I tend to hoard, so I still own couple of old M42 bodies and lenses, some of which found an unexpected new lease of life when I got back into ILC cameras about 6 years ago. I try to be a bit disciplined about buying new gear only when what I have already is limiting me in some way. I guess some professionals take an unsentimental approach to their kit ("I've upgraded my work tools to Sony FF, so my old G9 set up is no longer needed and is going on MPB to fund my next trip") and other keep hold and find some other way to generate income from it, as you have. Apart from financial issues, I think the only issue with GAS is is if it arises from Gear Incompetence Syndrome (I'm not happy with my results, it must be because my camera isn't good enough, therefore I need to spend another £2.5k on the latest new camera) or progresses to Gear Snobbery Syndrome (I've just spent £2.5k upgrading to my new camera because I wasn't happy with my results with a camera like yours, therefore your results with that camera can't be any good).
My camera collection is getting badddddd. I definitely have bad gas. Cameras like the Sony A7r iv, fuji xt5, canon r8 all the way to some weird ones like a dxo one, light l16 and yi m1... And everything in-between.
G.A.S. Does getting Sigma Foveon cameras count? Interresting technology, but it is not fun to work with. And slow, and eats through batteries. Happy I found a cheap enough Fujifilm X100S. Still as experimental in its own odd ways, but so much better.
I am almost as bad.... I got back into photography 2 years ago after a ~10 year hiatus. 😄 I mainly used to photograph bands for album covers and live shows. I also did weddings. I took a long break because i started my career in IT, met a girl, got married, had 4 kids a house and a summer home. 😅 So after this hiatus i wanted to try all of the gear that i had missed.. So i bought 4 different second hand cameras. Some full frame, a M43 and a APS-C. Then i rotated out cameras i liked less. I followed videos online and bought other cameras. This went on for ~18 months before i found my new "home". During these 2 years i have gone through the following cameras : D700 (two of them), D600, 7D Mark II, X100S, X70, X-T1, X-T2, X-T20, X-E2, E-M10 mark II (3 of them), E-M10 Mark III, E-M10 Mark IV, E-M1X, E-PL7, PEN-F (2 of them), E-PL8, E-P5, E-PL1, GX880, GX85, GM1, OM-5, G9 and G9 Mark II... 😅 I have followed your channel for most of the way. I have now settled on a couple of cameras. I LOVED the D700s and had them from the start but even those have now been sold. I landed on the G9 Mark II as my A camera and an original G9 as my B camera. I have a GM1 as an EDC camera and i kept the E-M10 Mark IV for now but i might sell that to. Yes, i had some massive G.A.S for two years but now i feel that i have "caught up" with what i missed during my hiatus. 🙃
Emily keep collecting it's not like cameras take up a lot of space like bicycles or cars... If you can find a reason to shoot with it or you feel some sentimental or historical value it's all good. I am up to about 20 cameras and I'm not a professional. At the core I use my OM1 the most usually for wildlife and macro photography. My everyday carry is an TG-7. I have an tz50 so I can do wildlife photography will out for a run. And I have a samsung NX mini and an olympus PEN for social/general photography. The rest my collection is some legacy 4/3 gear or I had to because the camera was cheap, cool, innovative or weird... and a couple more tough cameras. And I will probably pick up some more. There are many worse habits that some photography GAS.
I call GAS an infliction of the “Spendies”…. I have (drumroll please). Fujifilm XT4, XT30, XE2, Xpro1, Xpro2, LUMIX Gx7, lumix GX7 (IR), Olympus PEN F, Sony a6300, Sony NEX6….
Lumix G9-II, S5-II, G90, G3, GF6, GX1, TZ7, LX7 DJI Action 4, Pocket 3, Mini 2 Drone Sony WX500 Samsung WB30F Canon IXUS 80 I thought I had a problem, but my problem is that I don't own a LX100 or GX800 yet!
Owned some of the cameras in the list but I ended up using the Panasonic GX9 or a Fuji X-E3. When traveling to shady places I might bring with me the Olympus E-PM1. And if I would be rich/professional I would buy the Panasonic S5IIX.
I thought you'd have more actually. I'm pretty sure Snappiness has you beat, so you have room to grow 😎. You have me beat with my mere 10 cameras and several dozen lenses, mostly Canon film and digital.
I have 2 OMD EM1’s, OMD EM1X, Pen F, E3, E330 & E500. Canon 2 EOS 1N RS’s, 6D, 6D MKII, 7D MKII & EOS R. Hasselblad 500C, 503CX & 553ELX. Nikon F, 2 F2’s, F3, F4, 750D & Z7. Mamyia RB67 & M645. Fujica GW690 and a GX680III. I have a problem but not GAS 😊
I kept all the cameras I used over the years: Analog: Minox GT, Nikon F90, Contax T2, Yashica T4. Digital: Nikon Coolpix 990, Nikon D70, Casio EX-F1, Lumix GF1, GH3, GX80, GH5, GH6, G9-II. Action: Sony X3000, Insta360 X2 and X4 The Yashica T4 was a rescue from the garbage. The others got at least 2 years of heavy usage, the F90 got more than 10 years as main camera.
I already sold my nikon d5000 2 years ago. But now with my p900, d7500 plus 7 lenses for it. Em, Fm, pentax auto110, yashica electro 110, two limited edition mini nikon minox for my film cameras 😂, and for my mirrorless pentax q10 and the q. With 02, 01, 06 lenses. And for sure this will increase. 😂
I recently watch few of your video in your channel here! Very interesting since I want to have a compact pocket size camera as my 2nd camera for daily or travel camera. I would consider to have Lumix LX100 mark II or Lumix GX9. Could you advise which one should I get for pocket compact camera?
Ooo both great choices!! If you want simple and properly compact and pocketable, the lx100 range is idea. If you wanted a camera to maybe grow into, and add lenses to your collection over time, the GX9 would be a brilliant choice, but it is that little bit larger. The gx80 would also be a good middle ground between your two options 😊
For filming stuff in my little studio office, because the space is so tiny I find the shallower depth of field at bit more pleasing from the s5ii (and it means i have to tiny my shelves less haha) As for the gh7 specifically, because I have the g9ii, for my needs there is a lot of crossover between those two cameras. I don't think I'd need any of the more advanced features of the gh7 at the moment like the prores raw etc. But I will say it's an absolute gem of a camera for sure!
I have sold all my Fujifilms and sold my Leica SL, X Vario, X2, Q and M8. Still have about 70+ camera with me 😂 My G.A.S is acting up again for Hassie 907x
Luckily there is a hype on the GM1 and GM5 and not the GX800. So I was able to get 2 of them for 150€ each. And they are even better. Currenty for me there is no better edc interchangeable, pocketable camera on the market.
You make me feel like a loser. I only have a 1inch sensor Panasonic TZ202(long zoom), G9(original), GX9(love it), and G100(original I use it all the time). I do consider getting a FF, but not sure if I will. But, I do get the itch from time to time.
😬 what do you think? Do I need to trim my collection a bit? 😅 tell me your G.A.S. collection!
This was a very fun video. To answer your question though. Nooo Only Growth!
Haha I also have a significant GAS problem.
I'll try to get a few by format.
Medium - GFX-50s, Phase One DF and DF+, Aptus 22, P45
Full Frame - A7 III, 1Dx, 1Ds, 1Ds II, 5DC, 5D2, A99, D600, D800, D3s
APSC (or H)- X-T1, X-T3, D200, D80, K3, K5, Rebel XT, 30D, 40D, Fuji S3 Pro, D1x, Kodak DCS 760, Kodak DCS 720
Four Thirds or Micro Four Thirds - E-1, E-300, E-420, E-PL2, E-PL10, E-M5, GH4
Film - AE1, Canon F1, Nikon F2, EOS 1N, 630, FTb, a crazy number of point and shoots.
M43 Panasonic:
GM1, GX-80, G9
M43 Olympus:
E-PM2 (silver, IR converted), E-PL2 (black), E-PL6 (red), E-PL9 (gorgeous denim blue), E-PL10 (white), Pen F (silver), E-M1, E-M1 mk II
M43 misc.:
Z-Cam E1, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (original)
My s tier ones, dearest to my heart, are the GM1, the denim blue E-PL9 and the Pen F.
On my radar are the GM5 and the pink GF7 ❤
Welcome to the "camera hoarding sort of person" club 😁
My camera collection is starting to get ridiculous.... But I can't bring myself to sell them which is starting to be a problem... 2 x Lumix G6, Sony a5100,Fuji XA7,X20,Samsung nx500,nx2000,Sony rx100mk1,rx100mk2,zv1, and a ton of lenses ....can never bring myself to sell them because when I do sell them I wish I hadn't .....
Heavens no! They are your comfort toys. Now, I want to see your lenses!!!!
GM series for the win!!!
My two Panasonic GX8 cameras, after all these years, are still pleasing to use. Compact, weather-resistant, and friendly in hand and to use.
I'm definitely a hoarder: film and digital, collectibles, repair projects (including hopeless cases). I once bought a camera described as "old camera" in the "everything else" category on ebay, just to see what it was (Voigtlaender Bessa 6x9, which does work!).
Probably more to come 😆
Thank you Emily for making me feel much better about (by comparison very modest) shelf of GAS. Lovely video, great fun!
Always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work!
I had the gx85 and sold it to fund my gh5 back in the day... I deeply regret it haha
MPB missed a trick with this episode 😂 Great collection 👍
😂
Love your collection, your adorable enthusiasm & passion! Don’t sell! Subscribed. 🤩
I've got really bad G.A.S. 😊
Added a few to my vast collection recently, a lovely Canon AV-1, a Nikon F404, a Yashica FX-d, a few more film point and shoot cameras including another Olympus Pen ee half frame, already have a mint one.
Lots of new M42 mount lenses including my Holy Grail Helios M44 and a carl zeis jenna ddr 135 all nint and all for pennies.
I've been mounting them via adapter on my Lumix g3 📷
I'm constantly looking for more!😊
I've never sold any of my gear and sadly I can't often find friends who want or need them, so I have a large collection of cameras, hifi and video gear going back to the erarly 80's. Latest camera was a Canon R5 with 100-500 lens, but I'm itching to get a R5mk2 soon.
Great collection of analog cameras.
I too have GAS! 🤣🤣
Happy New Year.
Have a great New Year.
recently i bought the GM1 from MPB.
great camera collection. ive had a GF1 for years and love it but i might get the GF7 after your great reviews.
That ranking of the Canon F-1 is brutal, it's an amazing camera. Shame yours is broken though. Is it the part that pulls the film over (take up spool under the advance lever) or the rewind knob/arm? The latter is much easier to replace/fix...
Hi Emily. What do you think of the Leica DLux8?
Z cam E1 is technically the smallest m4/3 camera, not the Olympus Air. It was even smaller than the GM1(which I had) from the comparisons I've seen. Might be worth looking into.
Oh wow! I used to have a c5060, I loved that camera sooo much in that era where DSLRs were just insanely expensive.
Hello Emily,
I am definately suffering from G.A.S
I have aquired the following digital cameras and about 40 assorted lenses, mostly vintage lenses: Nikon D700, D300s, D2hs & D70s; also Canon 6D, 1ds Mkii, 2 5D classics & a 50D; also Olumpus E1. E3, & E500, also: Minolta 7D, Sony A700, DSC R1, Panasonic Lx7 & a Fuji point & Shoot. I also have several film cameras...So you are not alone...lol
I’ve got the same problem lol. M43, Fuji, LUMIX S!
What handgrip do you use with the e-m10?
@ For my EM-10 MK II i use the original Olympus Grip ECG-3. Good in handling and it makes the camera even prettier. 🙂
Surprising you have xa20. I used to have that as well but a lot of it's part is broken so I sold it
Late stage GAS for Oly MFT gear (and some PL lenses).
(which would take the list back to 35!)
I regularly use 10 of them, so I suppose the rest are because I like them.
I have 3 camera systems Sony, Nikon and Olympus. My latest acquisition is the 7Artisans 4mm circular fish eye in m43rds
I know this is camera oriented but what’s that monopod?
A long but interesting video that I enjoyed.
Whoa! Now that's a collection 👌 happy new year!
No Sony RX100 v or vi or vii?
Awesome video as always
7:24 the GX800 (GX850/GF9) & GX880 has the anti-aliasing filter removed - so _should_ have better image quality than earlier tiny Panasonics.
Happy New Year! ☺️
'Camera delinquency', lol.
I still want an olympus air, even if everyone says it's rubbish. Along with a couple of other weird things on that list.
What do I have?
OM-1
E-M1X
OM-5
GX80
GX800
E-PL6
G3
And for film, a Nikon Onetouch AF90(?) that's been used maybe once in the last few decades. 😅
If that's bad, I had a lot of GAS for lenses too.
Wow, Emily, how much dry box space do you have? A trunk full?
I'm a no box sort of gal! Once I buy something and check it's working, I commit haha
Nice photos of the strand in playa del Rey (LA) haha. Used to live there (:
I have followed your channel for most of the way.
Tell me about the EKO guitar over your right shoulder :) is it a Barracuda, I had one years ago :0)
You don't have a problem, just a collection. That's OK. I still have my original OM10 I got in high school. It doesn't work but I'll keep it forever.
Im not quite at camera collector level yet. I usually trade in one camera for another. Currently trading in my G9 (original) for an S1H.
Lumix G9-II, S5-II, G90, G3, GF6, GX1, TZ7, LX7
DJI Action 4, Pocket 3, Mini 2 Drone
Sony WX500
Samsung WB30F
Canon IXUS 80
I thought I had a problem, but my problem is that I don't own a LX100 or GX800 yet!
GAS is real. Planning to keep xt30 18-55, gm1 + 17mm, zenit ttl, holga and Nikkor 50 1.8
Waist lever viewfinder are the easiest thing ever to use! And don't call me a hipster!
My Bronica can't be used any other way!
Owned some of the cameras in the list but I ended up using the Panasonic GX9 or a Fuji X-E3. When traveling to shady places I might bring with me the Olympus E-PM1. And if I would be rich/professional I would buy the Panasonic S5IIX.
You can get a real waist-level finder for that F-1. Good luck, though, in hunting that unicorn... ;-)
15:02 the Olympus C5060: was geeat at macro too
Nice! I feel better about my collection now! I'm just an amateur ;-)
Ooooooooo exciting!
@@sophietucker1255 have you a favourite, or a most used camera?
The Hasselblad’s are my favorites but the Nikon F3 is the most used
@@sophietucker1255 thanks 👍🏼
I kept all the cameras I used over the years:
Analog:
Minox GT, Nikon F90, Contax T2, Yashica T4.
Digital:
Nikon Coolpix 990, Nikon D70, Casio EX-F1, Lumix GF1, GH3, GX80, GH5, GH6, G9-II.
Action:
Sony X3000, Insta360 X2 and X4
The Yashica T4 was a rescue from the garbage. The others got at least 2 years of heavy usage, the F90 got more than 10 years as main camera.
Thanks for the video, seems I am not Good morning the only one with this issue. 😂
My GAS is Nikon Coolpix P1000, Panasonic G9, GX7, GX8, GX9 and a TZ-90 and I thought that was a bit much lol
@@MicroFourNerds Aren't the GX80/85 and GX9 extremely similar in size and weight?
Nikon d50,d60,d80,d3000, Nikon 1 j4,j, Oly om-g, tough 8010, em10 iii, om-5, om-1 i, tought tg-7, Pentax ist, k-2000,k-50,k-70,Samsung wb150f, wb35f, zoom, insta 360 one rs.
I have canon sx530hs and fantastic to capture your eyes emily from Indonesia 😅😅
Nice! Now I don't feel nearly so bad about my GAS!
Just curious: You must have a ton of m43 glass, why not get a GH7 for your video instead of S5IIx?
For filming stuff in my little studio office, because the space is so tiny I find the shallower depth of field at bit more pleasing from the s5ii (and it means i have to tiny my shelves less haha)
As for the gh7 specifically, because I have the g9ii, for my needs there is a lot of crossover between those two cameras. I don't think I'd need any of the more advanced features of the gh7 at the moment like the prores raw etc. But I will say it's an absolute gem of a camera for sure!
And this is my GAS collection (some of which have already been sold)...

I think you have identified a common condition suffered by viewers: weird camera hoarderitis (WCH).
Im surprised you dont have a G9 or OM1
She mentioned the OM1 and placed it alongside the G9II
@Wildridefilms I watched it at 2x speed and misheard it as OM5.
If you need someone to look after your collection... you may see some Tiny cameras go missing 😅
I have sold all my Fujifilms and sold my Leica SL, X Vario, X2, Q and M8. Still have about 70+ camera with me 😂
My G.A.S is acting up again for Hassie 907x
Luckily there is a hype on the GM1 and GM5 and not the GX800. So I was able to get 2 of them for 150€ each. And they are even better. Currenty for me there is no better edc interchangeable, pocketable camera on the market.
You make me feel like a loser. I only have a 1inch sensor Panasonic TZ202(long zoom), G9(original), GX9(love it), and G100(original I use it all the time). I do consider getting a FF, but not sure if I will. But, I do get the itch from time to time.
