Fantastic recreation of the digital spears and effects. I wanted to do a nier samurai way back for a bit after nier sage but I definitely wouldn't have done it justice. This absolutely does, great job!
Thank you very much, Dekken! The Spear model is already in the game files, (though I didn't know that when I created my WAR mod. So I tried to recreate it by editing other models through Blender LOL.) so It definitely helps in creating a variety of different uses for it. Oh, and your Nier SGE really inspired me when I was doing my own take on it (I believe I even credited your work as inspiration on XMA; should have reached out to you back then). So I'm really curious as to what you would do for SAM.
@@amonilus5390 The big thing I wanted with samurai at the time was to use 2B's combat animations, since she has several used in the first NieR raid. At the time I had no idea how to extract those animations, much less use them, so it didnt go anywhere. Plus Necromancer won the poll I put out at the time. Ironically I think I *finally* learned how to adjust the animations recently, and they have since been extracted, but I'd sooner need to give my NieR Sage a touch up
Yeah! Someone recently uploaded every 2B animation to XMA, so it's really easy to access. I've known about them ever since Izumi made his 2B Automaton Queen mod. They still require work to ensure compatibility with every race, skirt physics, etc. My SAM mod was practically finished by the time they resurfaced on XMA, so I couldn't include them. But I'm also very interested in working with them in the future. I'm always on the lookout for your RPR mods though, I still use your Red RPR mod from time to time haha! When it comes to Vampire / Reaper / DRK aesthetic you're the best in my eyes, so I hope you also keep making stuff in that theme!@@dekken

Hey Seth! Thank you for your comment! I'm really glad you liked the mod! I believe it should work with MultiHit. The only reason I only made an "official" proper MultiHit file for my RPR mod is that MultiHit doesn't work so well with high latency (FFXIV doesn't have a server for my region, so I have a really bad connection), and a Nier RPR mod user actually made the preset for me. Because of the issues I mentioned, when I try to make a preset for it, the timing is all wrong due to the latency. But you should be able to create a preset for it no problem, it is quite easy actually!

Well, it looks really good, like really really good. However... I really think Hakaze's 4 strikes are a bit too excessive. Hakaze is an opener, it should be simple and quick leading to the more complicated and elaborate followup moves.

I definitely agree with your point but I also think it depends on the design idea for that job, SAM is a striking job like MNK, where Bootshine, the opener is a multistrike complex animation, so I wanted SAM to get more in line with that. To balance the multi hit looking Hakaze I added a strong powerful single slash for Jinpu, and Gekko is a mix between the two ideas, a single motion that leads to multiple hits.
Oooo this remake is glorious! I personally thought your old one was also glorious! Crazy thought, but... if I wanted to, would there be a way to mix and match between the two versions?
