Breno Alberigi thanks! you can also flick the stick and let go real fast and tap parry. can be useful if you are on platforms. just so u dont accidentally fall through lol. ill actually paste it in that section too.
May I suggest using a controller overlay with sticks that are easier to see if you do another video like this? Other than that, you did a great job with this guide, Arcanine!
It has been a long time since I played. This video is probably outdated, some tech in here doesnt work anymore because of new mechanics added. That being said, I think diagonal down opposite character facing should reverse downtilt
After watching this video, you definitely could break down some matches and see this tech being displayed. A lot of it is really subtle though, like dash attack ledge cancelled aerials. Some players opt for just using the right stick and that's when you can tell that DA ledge cancelled aerials would've worked etc. Same with Cactuar Dash dancing and buffered turnarounds, once you know the tech you start seeing it in other's game play as well as when to use it in you're own
I guess I didn't ask that right, is it always faster on every circumstance to WD then to dash after auto canceling a move or jumping or are there circumstances where it is faster to dash?
yes wavedash out of landing will always be faster than dashing. however maypul has a faster run speed than her wavedash speed so in some situations maypul's dash might be the better choice. EDIT: However it could be faster to dash if say you're about to go off a ledge for an edgeguard etc. as waveashing off a ledge loses a lot of momentum
Great video! Documenting tech is always a problem for smaller fighting games so I appreciate your sharing this stuff!
Much appreciated. I've been trying to learn the art of platforms and all the movement options available. This video has it all.
Very professional! The parry wile dashing will be quite usefull even on casual matches, since it seems to be easy to do

sure thing =]
Legends say that if you're early, he replies...
This is awesome arcanine. keep up the good work homie.
Boy, sure is crazy looking at some of the tech here like baby dashing, watching riptide grands, and seeing cake regularly use baby dashing/moving jab.
Thank you so much for this vid
Np. It's an old video. Probably out of date now haha
great video, dude
This was quite helpful
👌
Thanks rk9!
How do you reverse dtilt out of run? I’ve seen people do it and it’s pretty good against tech in

Is this all common knowledge in the tournament scene? Like could you take a tournament match and break down their use of this tech in a video?

So...does this mean that after landing a move its faster to WD forward then to dash(if you can buffer a jump)? or does it just mean its easier?
it is faster. as you can see in the forsburn fair chain section =) definitely worth practicing

soo... we have to spam the button dodge all the match?
Duh
Be glad you don't have to L-cancel everything...
Please make more.
Whats the time frame for buffering?
Zvikomborero Masike 6 frame buffering
Gravity Buffering = Hitfalling.
Yeah it is. It was deemed hitfalling later when the tutorials were updated.
i feel like a caveman rn
Half the tech in this video is probably caveman era now lol
@@arcanine8771 my brain aint that big to learn this xD
@@voidbg7017 it is actually easy. You just have to repeat / grind the techniques over and over which is the boring part haha
@@arcanine8771 so just mustle memory i did pull off a claren combo just randomly
Makes me wonder if one could do Cactuar dashing in Smash Ultimate....
If it did exist they would probably patch out lmao.
Lol all these terminologies changed to not be Melee lol.
Lol cactuar dash dance is melee lol.
I feel sorry for this guy, he plays with an Xbox controller
