Well good choice of brands for ai. As
    1 ,Bosch
    2, dewalt
    3, makita
    4, Hilti
    5, Milwaukee
As 1-4 have a good parts for individuals for repairing as self or service repair. As 5 parts are hard enough to replace and shit parts are on the tools as like buying a Lamborghini on the outside and inside is a cheap car from a auction site. That’s my opinion on this.

I have mostly Milwaukee power tools, however, I do not agree that Hilti should be in fifth place. They are probably the most robust brand power tools on the market, and in my opinion they deserve first place. However, I agree with Makita's ranking. They make better power tools than most people realize and a cousin of mine, who is a retired woodworker swears by them and he thinks they make the best tools out of all of them. And their lineup of battery powered tools is impressive. LOL, Ryobi wasn't even mentioned, and I do agree with that!

I personally have just had a bad experience with the MAKITA tools I bought when I first got in the trades so I guess it may have stained what I think about them.

I think Hilti isn’t higher on the list because it isn’t really talked about a lot compared to the other brands. Most non-professionals wouldn’t be getting it for that reason.

Milwaukee - due to the vast selection and availability, though wish they were lower in price
Dewalt - availability but need to compact their 12 volt battery
Bosch- I'm partial to Bosch, but do admit some of their stuff is below the other two for performance
Hilti- cost and harder to find in Canada at retail places
Makita- They were on top 3 decades ago, but like Polaroid, failed to keep up and innovate to improve their line-up when competition surpassed them.

I live in the UK, the Milwaukee stuff I experienced over here was falling apart, or is extremely overpriced.
A good friend of mine works as a freelancer on construction sites, he likes his DeWalt and Makita stuff. He got a large, battery powered Hilti masonry drill, but pointed out that the equivalent DeWalt can go for longer - he doesn't seem to like the Hilti and Milwaukee batteries.

You can't have a top 5 without DCK and Hypertough ‼️‼️💯

Happy and surprised to see Bosch hit the list.
    Where's Festool?

    1. Milwaukee.
    2. Dewalt.
    3. Bosch.
    4. Hilti.
    5. Not Makita because we're no longer in 2012. 😅
Hilti is not known for speed but durability, reliability and performance. Tough to choose here because it could easily be at 3rd place but for the price ratio.

Hilti for durability, Bosch for all around feel and batteries seem to hold up better than most, Makita has always been great tools both tailed and batteries, was really the original “ screwgun “ and continues to make better than most competitors, DeWalt is definitely acceptable, many models to use for specific needs, I have had Milwaukee batteries with very short lifespan, but before being bought out by the present corporation was always one of the best power tools for the tradesman. The issue with tools today is there are three or four companies that make everything and knowing which model is designed for the homeowner versus the professional is difficult.

Makita should be number one, why milwaukee tho? Besides their great power and versatile tool army, makita is way better for the price, reliability and quality of tools, milwaukee is an expensive joke when it comes to a repair of the tool,
I’d chose makita over milwaukee , still a fan of both.

    Dewalt should be 800th

I wouldn't put Makita above Hilti or Bosch
I would say other than that the list is decent
Bosch is lower than Dewalt and Milwaukee due to a less extensive range of tools.
Hilti is lower than Dewalt Bosch and Milwaukee only because of the price. Hilti are a quality tool.

Sounds like a pretty solid list for sure
