I have 17000 sqft of lawn. After watching this video, I purchased this sprayer. Have you found a solution for emptying the tank completely during applications.? As you stated, when the tank gets low, its struggles to spray product. My product is too expensive to leave even an ounce! LOL. Once I figure out the in. diameter of the suction tube inside the tank, I going to attempt to extend the tube, place a tee and drop suction tubes on both side of the tank. Do you think that would work?
I wanted to build one after your design. Then I realized 10 gallons of water may be a bit heavy for me and my shoes will become wet. I have half acre lawn. I ended up buying a trailer sprayer to tow behind my riding mower.
Hey Brett , I had watched the video on ur spray rig you built . I am wondering if you still use this still ? I am wanting to build this sprayer for my yard . Could I have more info on how to do this please ? This is my first time doing anything like this . I am excited
Every unit I see to buy runs from an external power source. The unit in this video seems to run from an internal source that gets charged? What am I missing here? Thanks
What’s the battery life on this thing? I saw grass daddy’s video first and then looked at the that same master sprayer you’re using then I found your video so I got excited. No problems of it dieing mid use?
Brett, I built one very similar, used the same tank. Have you noticed the intake port is about 2 inches off the bottom of the tank and when the solution level gets low, the pump can’t suck the remaining liquid out? Have you found a solution to this? I was thinking adding a hose in the tank to lay in the bottom, just need to figure out a way to secure it to the port in the tank.
I honestly have not used it a ton lately. The pump is strong enough I just need to put in some check valves to prevent leaking and I think it would be awesome!
@@Brettsgrasscapades have you looked into adding this part between the spray nozzle and boom? This will stop drips and only sprays out at 20+ psi. www.domyown.com/chapin-cf-valve-kit-with-adapter-red-model-68501-p-15162.html
I've got a couple different liquids in the arsenal this year. I've got some turfgrass pro and coron and maybe another gallon or so of something else? Not 100% sure, also some liquid humic acid I'm thinking.
So to mount it to the frame I cut a piece of plexiglass I had laying around to the dimensions of the frame, then there was 4 mounting holes in the bottom of the tank and I drilled hole in the plexi to match that. Super simple and easy to do.

You will notice the only sticker on her...
That is really freaking awesome.
Thanks man!
I found the exact spayer near me for $115 new ordered the Chapin boom. . Gonna build one! Thanks Brett.
❤️🔥❤️ this will be a game changer for you Andy our yard being so level! A lot more consistent applications! I’m excited for long therm use!
Thanks man come on up and take her for a spin!
Dude that setup is excellent!!! Nice and simple. Love that you can easily switch to spot spraying. Really well done. And the grass is looking 👌
Thanks man! Yeah I really liked having both. I will be able to ditch the backpack now and for that I am happy.
I need to ditch my 2 gal pump sprayer for something like this.
@@JimmyLewisMows it really was easy to build. And totally worth it.
Very nice! I’m wanting to build a push sprayer and I think your setup has the best combination of ease of build, cost, and quality. Thanks!
It’s better than anything you can buy! Where can I get the parts? I already have a tank just need the parts
That is a sweet rig. Very nice!👍🏻
Thanks man I'm super excited to take it out and really use it this year.
That rig is awesome! Great job! That's better than the "Lawn Rebels" Sucky sprayer dingelhopper majig. THROW'ER DOWN!!!💯👍
Thanks man! I don't know if it is better but I certainly like it.
Could I not take my Chapin sprayer and do the same thing?
@@dronemaddness5148 I guess in theory you could do that??
😂
First. That squirt fert rig is neat.
Thanks man I'm pretty happy with it so far.
Also that was quite nice of a comment, you feeling ok?
Brett's grasscapades the person using it still sucks.
@@Jmfokken there ya are!
TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!😝😝😝😝
Nice set up
Sweet setup you got there. 👌😎
Thanks man!
Squirting fert will be so fast now! Nice rig bro
Oh yeah! Pretty pumped!
That's dope central. +7 pts
Yes! Not sure how many I'm up to now point wise though.
Do you have a parts lists available? Thats a very nice fert spraying cart setup you built.
Great Idea....how did you secure the tank to the plexi base? The adhesive of some sort?

That’s the kind of sprayer “they” write rap songs about. 🤙🏼 soggy brah!
I wonder when "they" will finish writing that rap?

Who knows...
Still waiting on that rap.

Me too
Hey Brett, do you still use this? Any upgrades since the video? How did you mount the tank to the frame?
@@alexcoronado5164 I sold it a little bit ago. I didn't need as big of a sprayer anymore.
Nice work!!
Thank you! I have really liked it so far!

How many gallons per 1k sf does it put down walking at a normal pace? What's the width of the spray pattern? Any overlapping necessary?
What are the main things you plan on spraying?
Biggest one I will be constantly spraying this year is t-nex. But I'm sure I'll find more to put through it.
What’s the battery life on this thing? I saw grass daddy’s video first and then looked at the that same master sprayer you’re using then I found your video so I got excited. No problems of it dieing mid use?
Battery life has never been an issue. I've done over an acre with it. I do need to upgrade the nozzle situation though.
Hey Brett, what’s the dimensions of the tank. I’ve got a sr2000 spreader and I’m hoping the tank will fit in the bucket. Thanks
How close is your boom from the ground? Are they supposed to be around 20 inches

Yes I've got the same issue. I've been thinking about doing something similar. Let me know if it works!
Brett's Grasscapades sent you a post on IG with a fix I found. Worked perfectly after I tried it.
Hey Brett, how is your sprayer holding up? Does the pump seem sufficient? Are you going to replace the boom and nozzles with t-jets?
I honestly have not used it a ton lately. The pump is strong enough I just need to put in some check valves to prevent leaking and I think it would be awesome!
