People don't give Fraser enough credit for being so good at physical acting. He hardly had dialogue at all but still gave a memorable performance.
Apparently that’s until the mummy showed up and then people looked at Brendan Fraser like some action star. For a time.

It was cool. Going to Disney World when it was still fun and not totally corporate, the public pool in the summer, being able to wear a nylon fanny pack without looking like someone's dad, I miss those days for sure.

Back when movies could just be fun and not really have a big plot/ effects/ message. You just went to escape reality for a bit, good times man. I'm blessed I got to live in those times.

A friend of mine working at a store like one thought it was funny so something like that with the Slurpee machine when I stoped by to say hi it reminded me of that movie

After this movie, whenever I had to take my inhaler I called it "Wheezing the Juice."
I met Sean Astin at comic con. I asked him what it was like being a part of one of the most iconic film experiences of all time. He was super humble and tried to shrug off the compliment. After he finished I told him, I don’t know man, Encino Man was a god damn masterpiece. Both had a laugh.

I was 11 when this came out and for at least 3-4 years after that, any time we had nothing to do in class, teachers would show this movie. Or a disney movie. And i'm nostalgic for that doritos bag design.

Pauly Shore's mom owned The Comedy Store on Sunset so he was plugged into the industry from birth. Got a show on MTV, built a following of fans, and made a few movies. Encino Man and Son In Law were probably the two biggest money-makers, then he just kinda fell out of the mainstream.

Well it’s been 30 years they had a good run
@@chadwells7562 it was unfortunate he didn't let Link weeze more juice otherwise he might have been able to save him from the mummy that one time. He eventually respawned into the most trustworthy employee at Blake media who wanted to help Mr. Deeds. Pauly Shore only went on to serve in the military and jury duty where he by some miracle proved the defendant not guilty.
They had some good times.
I have to start bring some of this terminology back to 2023. No weezing the juuuice! Now, I have to shop for some grindage!
And the Oscar goes to…”Stoney number 2, he’s got my kind of do, and he’s from the Stone Age”..
