Wasnt particularly fast, but because he was so strong and coupled with his unmatched balance, he just never got run down by anyone. He was a leader, a captain, could dribble, shoot, free kicks, link up, hold up, long passes, line-breaking passes, tackles and overall defensive work, stamina, headers, finesse chips, halfway-line shots, man i could go on and on mentioning every attribute a football player could have, he has them all. Unbelievable player, and super underrated.

He was a great player but could have played longer. When he moved back into midfield, towards the end, he had so much time on the ball it was mental. Everything looked so easy. IMO, he could have emulated Pierlo in that role.
Possibly the most complete 18 year old the game has ever seen, certainly in the top 5 or so. Possiblty underated because people remember the end of his career when he really faded (those last few seasons at United he really was poor, his touch seemed to have completely deserted him)
