Just bought a Gaggia and a Eureka Specialita in Orange. Love them, learned a lot from watching all these videos. Keep up the great work, we appreciate it!

By far the best entry machines.
Owned the Rancilio Silvia. I recommend it to every starter.
The best way to enter the home espresso experience

Nice video, last year I bought the Giggia Classic Pro in black with the tiger maple bottomless portafilter and the Eureka Facile grinder. The bottomless portafilter squirts everywhere. I tried the wisk broom and leveler and the top rim ring. Today I use a dosing cup because the Facile doesn't work well with a top funnel, OEM portafilter with fine mesh basket ,2 ounce OXO measuring cup, 9 lb spring and a spring tamper. My work flow is 2 minutes, boom, unless I steam milk I add about 5 minutes including cleanup of pitcher.

Hi mark, The Gaggia Classic Evo Pro is a step up in capabilities and build quality. It's a true machine with 58mm portafilter so you can customize with precision filter baskets, larger coffee doses and more. If you do a lot of milk drinks you might consider a machine with an HX boiler. Those can brew and steam simultaneously and do away with the boiler cooldown after steaming you have to perform on single boiler machines like the GCEP and Silvia. Currently lowest priced HX boiler machine is the Bezzera BZ10: www.wholelattelove.com/products/bezzera-bz10-espresso-machine
      Hope that helps!

The Silvia has already been on the market for 25years and nothing really significant has been changed.

      Yes, indeed lack of innovation.
No temperature stability thus temp surfing is a necessity.
      A silly driptray.
      Rather quite a high price.
Fortunately the whole machine is rust free now.

@@chrisDeBona Solid product. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Gaggia now has boiler-gate issues they are dealing with. You don't get anything like this with the Silvia. Gaggia's are great however, I've been using one for 20 years.

I have the daily driver and have changed the spring from a 12 to a 9 BUT the water still flows through too fast. I have also changed to a bottomless porta filter and I grind my own beans 16g per double shot. I also use a wdp
Tool and have changed the screw on filter so water come through evenly without channeling. Once I grind my 16 gms w an encore barata I push the water through w a filter on top of the grounds. I press the ground beans tightly w a press that is spring loaded to compress grounds properly. I push water through and await for 2oz of espresso. I do get plenty of crema. I use the Gaggia single boiler machine.what else do you recommend I do.

I have one EVO pro, and I am struggling to handle its milk froth function, too difficult to make it right. I ended up putting it away..., back to my Delonghi ec685.
